Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between students' self-confidence and critical thinking skills in the learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberejo. The research participants consisted of 108 students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sumberejo, Tanggamus Regency in the 2021/2022 academic year, which was divided into three classes. Purposive sampling was used to select the research sample. This study used a descriptive correlational design with a correlational study method. The instruments used consisted of a descriptive test to measure critical thinking skills and a self-confidence questionnaire. The data for this study consisted of quantitative data collected by filling out student self-confidence questionnaires and descriptive tests on critical thinking skills on the topic of linear programs as primary data. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson product-moment correlation test, with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed a significant relationship between self-confidence and students' critical thinking skills in learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.932 and a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, respectively. This indicates that the higher the students' self-confidence level, the higher their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan awal matematis terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Bandarlampung, sebanyak 303 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII 7 sebanyak 29 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah cause and effect. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif berupa data nilai kemampuan awal dan nilai pemahaman konsep matematis yang diperoleh berturut-turut dengan dokumentasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan awal berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata Kunci. kemampuan awal, pemahaman konsep matematis, pengaruh

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi diketahui bahwa masih terdapat guru matematika yang kesulitan dalam menggunakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran, khususnya di Kabupaten Pringsewu, Lampung. Jadi, tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru matematika di Kabupaten Pringsewu terkait dengan pembuatan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis IT dengan menggunakan FlipaClip. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan 40% teori dan 60% praktik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tahapan melakukan tes awal, melaksanakan pelatihan, dan melaksanakan tes akhir. Peserta kegiatan ini sebanyak 20 orang yang merupakan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dan menggunakan N-Gain. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran, bangun datar dan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan dari hasil N-Gain di mana 45% peserta mengalami peningkatan sedang dan 55% mengalami peningkatan tinggi. Selain itu, Guru sudah mulai memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan oleh praktik yang dilakukan guru serta produk akhir yang dihasilkan oleh para guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru telah mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan memiliki keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis FlipaClip.

Abstract

Kemampuan reversible thinking dalam pembelajaran matematika perlu dikuasai oleh setiap peserta didik guna menunjang peserta didik dalam proses belajar dan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematika yang bersifat reversible. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan reversible thinking peserta didik pada sistem persamaan linier dua variabel. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelaas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Purbolinggo Lampung Timur pada tahun akademik 2020/2021. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 peserta didik yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling total. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknis tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan reversible thinking. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan 3 tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 20,97% siswa menguasai kemampuan reversible thinking, dan 20,96% siswa tidak menguasai kemampuan reversible thinking. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik tidak menguasai kemampuan reversible thinking pada sistem persamaan linier dua variabel.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance teachers’ understanding and competence in digital literacy by developing research-based educational games that integrate local wisdom and have a sustainable impact on deep learning. The implementation methods used were training and mentoring activities. The target partners of this program were teachers from SDN Mulyo Haji, Anak Tuha District, Lampung Province. The evaluation technique employed was the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, and Product). The results of this community service activity show an improvement in teachers’ understanding and competence in digital literacy, as evidenced by an average score of 90.77 (maximum 100 and minimum 60). In addition, teachers were able to design lesson plan products and educational games that are ready for classroom implementation.

Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) is a key competency in 21st-century mathematics education. However, Indonesian students still face challenges in decomposition, abstraction, and algorithmic reasoning due to learning resources dominated by single-solution problems. This study developed and evaluated a mathematics module based on open-ended problems to enhance students’ CT skills in quadratic functions. The research adopted an R&D approach using the ADDIE model, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The process involved needs, curriculum, and learner analyses, followed by expert validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness evaluation. Three experts validated the module, while teachers and students assessed its practicality. Effectiveness was tested using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design involving 61 high school students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain, and inferential tests. Results showed the module was valid, practical, and effective in improving CT skills. The experimental group achieved significantly higher N-Gain (p < 0.05) than the control group, with abstraction and pattern recognition showing the greatest improvement.

Abstract

Background: Students often find curved-sided geometric shapes difficult to grasp because the material is usually introduced in a highly symbolic way. This condition creates a clear need for learning materials that can present ideas more visually and in contexts that feel relevant to students. Aim: The study seeks to design and examine a learning module that blends Augmented Reality with the principles of Realistic Mathematics Education to support stronger conceptual understanding. Method: Using a Research and Development approach, the study followed the ADDIE sequence from early analysis to final evaluation. The module was reviewed by subject and media experts, tested in a small group to gauge usability, and later implemented in larger classes. Its effectiveness was assessed by comparing posttest scores from a class using the AR–RME module and another class taught with standard materials. Results: Expert feedback showed that both the content and media components reached valid to very valid levels. Students and teachers also reported that the module was easy to use and fit well within classroom activities. The experimental class recorded higher posttest scores than the control group, indicating meaningful gains in conceptual understanding. Conclusion: Augmented Reality, when embedded in a Realistic Mathematics Education setting, offers a learning experience that helps students connect abstract geometric ideas with clearer mental models. The module developed in this study meets the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness, and can serve as a valuable learning resource for geometry instruction.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of ALQURUN Teaching Model on students' mathematical critical thinking ability. The type of research used was a quasi experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects included all grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year, which was divided into ten groupses. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling technique, resulting in groups VIII-I as the experimental groups and VIII-J as the control groups, each consisting of 24 students. The quantitative data analyzed came from the students' mathematical critical thinking ability test. Then, the data analysis technique used is a nonparametric test, namely the Mann-Whitney U test. The findings revealed that students taught using the ALQURUN Teaching Model demonstrated greater improvements in their mathematical critical thinking ability than those who underwent conventional learning. Therefore, it is evident that the ALQURUN Teaching Model positively impacts students’ ability to think critically in mathematics.
