This research aims to (1) describe the level of empirical research text writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan without using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy, (2) describe the level of writing skills text empirical research grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies, and (3) describe the influence of the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy against empirical research text writing skills grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan. The theory used in the study of empirical research text writing skills, strategies, and audiovisual media inkuiri. Type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The selected experimental methods i.e. artificial experiments or design with the design experiment quasy static two groups. The population in this research is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan listed in the lesson 2016/2017 of 238 students. A sample of these studies amounted to 32 students. Sampling this research was conducted with the purposive sampling technique. This research data is a score test results of empirical research text writing skills without the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies and score the test results of empirical research text writing skills using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy.Â Kata Kunci: inkuiri, audiovisual media strategy, text of empirical research

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the values of character education in the Pulang novel by Tere Liye. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The approach used in this research is the objective approach.This research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses that display events and figures that indicate the values of character education contained in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques of this study, namely reading and understanding, inventorying, interpreting, classifying, and concluding data relating to character education values in Pulang novel by Tere Liye and guided by appreciative reading.Â Kata kunci: nilai pendidikan karakter, novel PulangÂ

ABSTRACTÂ The porpose of this research there are three. First, to describes the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara. Second, to describes a text description of the writing skills of students grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara.Â This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara that are listed in the 2017/2018, i.e., 268 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text description and score the writing skills test result text description. Research instrument is an objective test to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description. The results of the research there are three. First, a text description of the writing skills of students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara lies on the qualifications of either (B). Second, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara are on Good qualifications (B). Third, intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions account for 47.20% against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara.Â Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi

The aim of the research is to be describe these following two things. First, to describe the structure of story text written by seventh grade students in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Second, to describe the text of the fantasy story of studentsâ€™ works. The method that is used is descriptive method. This research was done in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. the data of the research are fantasy story texts collected in many sources such as the documents of 20 fantasy text stories written by the students. Instrument of this research is the writer herself. The data was analyzed by describing the data, than analyzing and discussing them towards the theory. The result of the research is, first, there are three generic structures of fantasy story, they are, orientation, complication, and resolution in the works of the students in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. the second result is there are 273 accuracies of the sentence use and EBI, there are 341 inaccuracies, and 7282 diction accuracy (selected word), and 62 diction inaccuracy (selected word) in the studentsâ€™ writings. Based on this research, it can be concluded that, the students are able to use the generic structures correctly. It is proved by 20 texts that have been analyzed, and there are 18 texts that use all generic structures correctly. Then, the students are more skillful in using diction (selected word) in their writing than sentences and EBI.Â Kata kunci: struktur teks, kebahasaan teks, teks cerita fantasi

ABSTRACTÂ There are three objectives of this research. First, to describe the skills of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Second, to describe the skills of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Third, to describe the relationship between the skills of reading comprehension and descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative whereas the method applied is correlational. The population of this research is students of grade VII registered in the 2017/2018 academic year with a total amount of 249 students spread over eight classes. The number of sample of this research is 40 students (15% of total population of students in each class). The sampling technique applied in the research is the proportional-random sampling. The variable of the research is the skill in reading comprehension as independent variable and the skill of descriptive text writing as bound variable. The instrument used in the research is the objective tests comprised of reading comprehension test and working test i.e. descriptive-text writing test. The data of the research is the scores of the objective tests. The gathered data was analyzed based on the indicators to obtain students' scores and points. Data analysis requirement test is the normality and homogenity test.Â The following are the two results of the research. First, the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with an average score of 83.30. Second, the skill of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with a score of 81.93. The result of research indicates that the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang has significant relations to the skill of descriptive text writing. Hence, the skill of descriptive text writing requires the skill of reading comprehension.Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks deskripsi

ABSTRACTÂ There are four purposes of the act of saying Najwa Shihab in this research. First, describe the act of speech illocution. Second, describe the strategy of speech acts. And third, describes the principle of politeness. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. The data of this research is Najwa Shihab's speech which is in the form of words in Mata Najwa Speech title in the 100-day Anies-Sandi episode. The instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques there are three. First, the researchers downloaded the first Mata Najwa video titles in the 100-day Anies-Sandi episode in the Official Najwa Shihab account on youtube.com. Secondly, Najwa Shihab's speech data is transcribed. And thirdly, the researcher performs inventory of data. The next step is to analyze the research data through the following techniques. First, classify the data based on politeness. Second, to analyze the data obtained. ABSTRACTÂ This article is written to discuss the results of research on the relationship of interest in reading the narrative expository writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang. This research data in the form of a score questionnaire interest in reading and writing skills test score results expository narrative. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely questionnaire to measure the level of mastery of reading and performance test to measure the level of mastery of narrative expository writing skills. This research is a quantitative experimental method. The results of this research are three: (1) the level of interest in reading students' mastery of grade VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang are in qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 74.49, (2) the level of mastery of narrative expository writing skills graders VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang are in qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 74.55, and (3) based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = n-1 because thitung> ttable (31.40> 1.68).Â Kata kunci : hubungan, minat baca, narasi ekspositoris

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to describe the type of language style based on sentence structure and based on whether or not the meaning and function of the language style contained in the anthology of the â€œCermin Waktuâ€ short story by Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students 2011 Faculty of Language and Art, State University of Padang. The method used is descriptive. The approach in this research is the stylistic. Based on the research conducted the type of language style based on sentence structure found 4 types of language style, namely climax, anticlimax, repetition, and antithesis. The type of language style is based on whether or not direct meaning is of two kinds, namely rhetoricalÂ and the style of figurative language. The rhetorical style of the language is found in 7 types of language styles, namely apostrophes, asindenton, polisindenton, euphemism, pleonasm, rhetorical questions, and hyperbole. The figurative language style is found in 4 types of language styles, namely equality, metaphor, personification, and cynicism and sarcasm. The language style function contained in the anthology of the â€œCermin Waktuâ€ short story is found in 5 types of language style function, namely concreting 25 speeches, asserting 88 utterances, beautifying 24 speeches, smoothing 2 speeches, and insinuating 4 speeches. ABSTRACTÂ This study aimed to describe (1) the form of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (2) the cause of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (3) the settlement of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron. The research is a qualitative descriptive method. The approach taken in this study is the approach of sociology of literature. Data of this study are the elements of the novel that reveals social conflicts contained in the novel Inheritance work Chairul Harun include: (1) the forms of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron, (2) the cause of social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron , (3) the forms of social conflict resolution in the novel Inheritance works Chairul Aaron. This research data collection techniques are read and understand, identify, inventory, and mengklasisifikasikan data relating to social conflict in the novel Inheritance works Chairu Aaron. Based on the research results, it can be concluded social conflict in the novel Inheritance Chairul Aaron's work as follows. First, the forms of social conflict, namely; personal conflicts as a result of another person; The main figures conflict with the family; The main figures conflict with the community. Second, penyebabtimbulnya social conflict, namely; economic factors; biological factors; psychological factors; cultural factors. Third, the forms of social conflict resolution, namely conciliation / peace; mediation; coercion / force; dÃ©tente / loosening. This research may be implicated in learning Indonesian curriculum SBC / 2006 class XI 1st half at SK. 7 Finding elements of intrinsic and extrinsic saga, with KD7.2 Analyzing the intrinsic elements novel Indonesia / translation.Â Kata kunci: konflik sosial, novel, implikasi
