Abstract

Objective: To find out the prevalence and analyze the risk factors (biological, psychological and social) of pregnant women who experience antenatal depression at health center of Jagir and Tanah Kali Kedinding Surabaya.Methods: A cross sectional study design, after got the ethical clearance certificate, the subjects were pregnant women who visited antenatal clinic and meet the criteria in Mei-Juni 2019. Independent variables were biological factors : a history of Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and obstetric status (age, history of miscarriage and mode of delivery, and risk of pregnancy), psychological factors : the history of child abuse and negative life events and social factors : marital conflict, pregnancy status, family/spouse/social support, and financial stress. The dependent variable was determined by Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) with a cut off value of 10. Statistics analysis used accordingly.Results: The prevalence of antenatal depression was 18.95%. The statistic calculation found that age (P=0.168),  history of miscarriage and mode of delivery (P=0.540), risk of pregnancy (P=0.756), history of PMDD (P=1.000), history of child abuse (P=0,219), negative life events (P=0.870), marital conflict (P=1,000), pregnancy status (P=1,000), family, spouse and social support (P= -), and financial stress (P=1,000).Conclusion:There was no relationship between antenatal depression and the age of pregnant women, history of miscarriage and mode of delivery, pregnancy risk, history of PMDD, history of child abuse, negative life events, marital conflict, pregnancy status, family, spouse and social support, and financial stress.

Abstract

The incidence of marriage at a young age is till very  high in Indonesia. Indinesia is the 37th country with  a high prevalence of young marriage in the world and the second highest in ASEAN after Cambodia (UNDESA, 2010). According to BPS (2015), Gorontalo Province is ranked 5th based on the prevalence of marriage of girls aged 15-19 years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the delay of pregnancy in teenage marriages aged 14-19 years. The methodology used is the case control design. Research subjects were married women aged 14-19 years in 2015-2017 in 2 districts Gorontalo province who realize the inclusion criteria. Number of samples for each group of 75 respondents for cases and controls. Statistical analysis was performed by chi square technique and logistic regression analysis method. Results: shows the factors that influence the delay of pregnancy in adolescent marriage are wife's age (p = 0,000, OR = 8,889, 95% CI = 2,887-27,375) and family support (p = 0,000, OR = 28, 95% CI = 7,793- 100,612). The conclusion of this study is that the wife's age and family support have a significant relationship to the delay of pregnancy in adolescent marriage. Disorder towards toddlers by 2,5 times.

Abstract

Pre-marital pregnancy in adolescents contains   very      complicated and complex issues, especially for those who are directly involved in it. Pre marital pregnancy in adolescents in Sikka District in 2017 was 191 people (47%) of the total number of teenagers who were pregnant. Many factors influence pregnancy before marriage in adolescents including age, order of children, education, parents job, family income, parental marital status, parenting, culture and religiosity.The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the occurrence of pregnancy before marriage in adolescents in four Community Health Centers of Sikka District . Methods: An analytic observational study with a case control study design. The sampling technique used is Quota Sampling. Sampling in four Community Health Centers with a high percentage of pregnancy before marriage. The control group was taken with the same age match, namely age 10-19 years in the same area, each of 90 teenagers were pregnant before marriage (case) and teenagers were pregnant after marriage (control).Result: The multiple logistic regression test showed that together there was a significant relationship between parenting of the parents (p <0.05, OR = 14.107), parental marital status (p <0.05, OR = 4.359) and religiosity (p <0.05 , OR = 2,651) with pre-marital pregnancy in adolescents. Age, order of children, education, parental work, parents job, income and culture are not related to pre-marital pregnancy in adolescents in four Community  Health Centers of Sikka District.Conclusion: Bad parenting factors play the most important role in the occurrence of pregnancy before marriage in adolescents in four Community Health Centers of  in addition to the factors of parental marital status and religiosity.
