Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Efektivitas Pengelolaan Sampah Oleh BankSampah Berkah Mendawai di Kelurahan Bansir Laut Kota Pontianak. Penelitian menggunakanmetode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data yang dilakukanmelalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahteori Kreitner dan Kinicki (dalam Soetopo, 2010), yang memiliki aspek pengukuran efektivitas yaitu:1) Pencapaian Tujuan, Bank Sampah Berkah Mendawai dinilai belum sepenuhnya efektif karena darisisi kualitas produksi dan standarisasi pupuk organik cair belum sesuai dengan target pengurus. 2)Tersedianya Sumber Daya, bank sampah belum efektif, hal ini dilihat dari kurangnya jumlah SDMdan belum adanya sejumlah peralatan yang mendukung untuk proses pengelolaan sampah. 3) ProsesInternal dalam sisi kepuasan kerja, bank sampah juga belum efektif. Anggota belum dapat menerimabagi hasil dari operasional dikarenakan keuntungan bank sampah belum mencukupi untuk menggajikaryawan, hal ini menyebabkan anggota tidak merasa puas. 4) Kepuasan Anggota, bank sampahdinilai belum efektif karena masih kurangnya sosialisasi dari bank sampah sehingga menyebabkanrendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam memberikan dan memilah sampah secara mandiri. Agarpengelolaan sampah oleh Bank Sampah Berkah Mendawai dapat berjalan efektif, maka pihak banksampah perlu memperbaiki manajemen dengan merumuskan sistem perencanaan, produksi,pemasaran, dan pengawasan yang lebih baik dalam pengelolaan sampah.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan permasalahan utama di kawasan perkotaan. Pengabdian memberikan wawasan mengelola sampah organik menjadi kompos dengan sosialisasi dan praktik langsung pembuatan kompos. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, 27 September 2025, di RT 02 Kelurahan Harapan Baru, Samarinda. Program melibatkan 29 peserta dan disertai hibah tujuh drum komposter untuk mendukung keberlanjutan kegiatan. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tahap persiapan, penyuluhan, praktik pembuatan kompos, serta pendampingan pasca kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga dalam mengelola sampah organik serta perubahan perilaku menuju pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam mengurangi timbulan sampah organik rumah tangga sekaligus memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat menuju lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Accidents are a major cause of fractures in Indonesia. One of the treatments for fractures is bone screws with support plates that are placed on broken bone. Currently, many biomaterials for bone screws are being developed which have biodegradable properties so that post-operative bone healing is not required. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cantula fiber addition on tensile strength, wear rate, and crystallinity of nano-HA/magnesium/shellac bio-composite for bone screw materials. Nano-HA/magnesium/shellac/cantula fiber materials were mixed using a blender. The material was mixed with a magnesium/hydroxyapatite ratio of 70/30 and cantula fiber was added with variations of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% of total volume. After that, material mixture was compacted with a pressure of 300 MPa for 10 minutes. Then sintering process was carried out at temperature of 140 °C for two hours. The results showed that the highest tensile strength value was 7.86 MPa at 30% variation. The lowest wear rate was 0.31 x 10-3 mm3/Nm at 30% variation. The highest crystallinity in X-Ray Diffraction observations was obtained at 30% variation, which was 79.65%.

Abstract

The bus driver's comfort is crucial. The location of the driver's seat, which is correlated with the seat support design, is one of the elements supporting his comfort. By considering the safety factor, House of Quality (HOQ), weight, shape, and seat support dimensions, this study intends to ascertain how the characteristics of the bus seat support form after receiving a load or force. Conducting a field visit to gather the necessary data was the initial step in this research. The following stage was to decide on the design criteria based on the collected data. Next, use SolidWork to model the design. Using the Finite Element Method (FEM), this program can investigate design characteristics. The loading simulation under consideration included clutch engagement, bus brake application, and clutch engagement, whether the support was static or stationary. The validation with two supporting journals was then run as the following step to validate the findings. According to the study's findings, the constant chair support fulfills the typical value, whereas Support 1 was the most fracture-prone. The outcomes of Supports 2 and 3 demonstrated that the support strength was weak since it was subjected to an unequal load.

Abstract

At this time the government prohibits the use of antibiotics in animal feed as an Antibiotic and Growth Promoter (AGP), so an effective and safe immunomodulator and herbal growth stimulant product are needed through Meniran extract products (Phyllanthus niruri) and chemicals in the market are not yet optimal as immunomodulators and growth stimulants. CV. Maxipro Agrosatwa which is engaged in veterinary medicine, wholesale trade of agricultural products, and other live animals will produce feed using Meniran extract products. Extraction equipment that is needed is a Rotary vacuum evaporator. This equipment is needed to separate the solvent from the solute without high heating which will damage the solute content. The vacuum condition in the flask is to make the separation more efficient as well as accelerate the separation of the solvent from a solution by reducing the boiling point. The rotation of the flask is to increase evaporation. The complexity of this equipment is what makes CV. Maxipro Agrosatwa cannot handle it alone and requires technical assistance from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Jurusan Teknik Mesin-JTM) FT UNS. Technical assistance provided by JTM FT UNS is in the form of procurement, delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance of the rotary vacuum evaporator.

Abstract

Bone screws are commonly used together with support plates to stabilize fractured bones. Conventional bone screws are typically made from metals such as stainless steel and titanium due to their superior mechanical properties. However, the use of permanent metallic implants often requires a secondary surgical procedure for removal after the bone has healed. Therefore, recent research has focused on developing biodegradable biomaterials that can gradually degrade within the body, eliminating the need for implant removal. This study investigated the effect of heating temperature on the tensile strength, wear rate, and crystallinity of a magnesium/nano-hydroxyapatite (nano-HA)/shellac/cantala fiber biocomposite. The composite materials were mixed using a blender with a volume ratio of magnesium/nano-HA–shellac/cantala fiber of 50/20/30 and then compacted at a pressure of 300 MPa for 10 minutes. Heat treatment was conducted at temperatures of 100 °C, 120 °C, 140 °C, and 160 °C for two hours. The results showed that the lowest wear rate (0.72 × 10⁻³ mm³/Nm), the highest tensile strength (6.58 MPa), and the highest crystallinity (74.15%) obtained from X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis were all achieved at a heating temperature of 160 °C, indicating that higher heating temperatures improved the mechanical and structural properties of the biocomposite.

Abstract

Penggunaan mesin CNC untuk menghasilkan produk dengan akurasi yang tinggi sangat penting dalam perkembangan industri saat ini. Mesin Emco Concept 55 Turning Unit adalah salah satu mesin bubut CNC yang populer pada masanya karena kehandalannya dalam menghasilkan produk dengan akurasi tinggi. Namun, seiring perkembangan teknologi, mesin ini mulai mengalami keterbatasan, terutama dalam hal sistem kontrol dan kompatibilitas dengan perangkat lunak modern. Retrofit mesin CNC adalah solusi yang semakin populer untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Retrofit dimulai dengan persiapan dan analisis awal dengan melakukan inspeksi menyeluruh terhadap kondisi mesin untuk mengevaluasi komponen mekanis, elektrik, dan sistem kontrol yang ada. Setelah itu dilakukan pembongkaran sistem kontrol lama dan memasang sistem kontrol baru serta mengatur konfigurasi perangkat lunak yang baru. Setelah semua komponen terpasang pengujian dan optimasi dilakukan agar mendapatkan hasil dan maksimal. Tahap terakhir dalam retrofit adalah finalisasi agar semua komponen terpasang dengan rapi dan aman sesuai dengan desain yang ditetapkan. Dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan mesin CNC dapat kembali berfungsi dengan baik dan kompatibel dengan software modern, memiliki antarmuka grafis yang intuitif, dan dapat terhubung ke sistem jaringan untuk mendukung pemantauan dan integrasi ke dalam ekosistem Industri 4.0. Kata kunci: CNC; Retrofit; Antar muka; Integrasi; Industri 4.0
