Abstract

The aim of research entitled ‘Uma Lengge Maria Festival Event as event to invite more Visitor to Maria tourism Village di Wawo District Bima West Nusa Tenggara to describe the roles of the festival in increasing tourist coming to this object. This research use desciptive qualitative approach, that is systematically describe facts in a particular field or fenomena. Data collection methods were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation then analyzed in the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The informan of this research were selected based on the following characteristics: (1) were at the location when the event take place, (2) witnessed the progress of the event, (3) filled in the guest list, (4) are native people of Bima, (5) knew about the progress of the event, and (6) live near the festival location. The research results show that the Uma Lengge Maria Festival Event has main role in increasing cultural tourism with the MICE industry, especially in Bima where some traditional cultural values are shown and local product are displayed to public. It also improving the economy stage and tourism development in Bima

Abstract

The basic function of standard recipes as a control over food preparation. Processing food using standard recipes will produce dishes that are consistent in terms of taste and quality. FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach is a three-star hotel that applies standard recipes on handling food processing. This research was conducted to find out how standard recipes is implemented at the Seaduction FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach Restaurant as well as the obstacles in the implementation process, and efforts to overcome them. This research uses standard prescription theory. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative which describes, illustrates and explains in detail the problems studied. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews and documentation study. The research results show that (a) the implementation of standard recipes at the Seaduction Restaurant is carried out using a training method consisting of making standard recipes, briefings and practice, as well as controlling the supply and preparation of raw materials, preparation of cooking utensils, manufacturing process and serving; (b) The restaurant faced obstacles in the process of implementing standard recipes so efforts are made to overcome these obstacles by monitoring discipline, warnings, and even certain funishment.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PkM) through KKN activities in Cemagi Village in 2023 are further KKN activities, based on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Triatma Mulya University and Cemagi Village for 3 years, so that this Thematic KKN activity can be carried out sustainably in Cemagi Village. KKN activities of the Faculty of Business and Tourism, Triatma Mulya University were held for 5 (five) weeks in Cemagi Tourism Village which took place from January 16 to February 17, 2023. This service article analyzes the empowerment of village communities in developing tourism and the creative economy in Cemagi Tourism Village, Badung Regency. This research began with the 2023 Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities held in Cemagi Village. The implementation of KKN activities is carried out through several stages, namely the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation stages. The Thematic KKN Team of the Faculty of Business and Tourism, Triatma Mulya University provided socialization related to tourism awareness and financial literacy education. The details of the KKN work program that have been implemented in Cemagi Village are clean-up actions at Mengening Beach, cooking classes, promotional videos, financial literacy education, making and installing welcome billboards in Cemagi Village, teaching English and basic mathematics to kindergarten children, socializing waste sorting, and quiz competitions. A pre-planned work program can be completed in a timely manner.

Abstract

study explores the development strategy for transforming Munggu Beach in Badung Regency into a child-friendly tourism destination, a unique approach given that most beaches are not designed with children in mind. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the management and local stakeholders, as well as direct observation. The findings were then analyzed descriptively. The research identifies four key strategies for developing the beach as an appealing destination for families. First, Munggu Beach should not be a typical beach but should be specifically designed to accommodate children's needs, which would enhance its attractiveness and profitability. Second, due to its location facing the Indian Ocean, the beach's large waves could be leveraged for child-friendly surfing experiences, with appropriate equipment rentals provided. Third, while the coral on the beach can be a safety hazard, coral exploration packages could be developed that cater to children, offering educational and interactive experiences while fostering a love for the sea and its biodiversity. Lastly, the research highlights the need for a prominent sign at the entrance to the beach, coupled with a strong social media presence for promotion. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on adapting a natural coastal environment for child tourism, a segment often neglected in beach development strategies. The urgency of this research is underscored by the growing demand for family-oriented destinations. This study contributes to the field by providing actionable recommendations for creating a child-friendly tourism hub at Munggu Beach, which can attract more visitors, increase profitability, and promote sustainable tourism practices.

Abstract

Desa Munggu telah ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata melalui Peraturan Bupati Badung Nomor 47 Tahun 2010 tentang Penetapan Kawasan Desa Wisata di Kabupaten Badung. Pengembangan pariwisata di Kabupaten Badung cenderung lebih menonjolkan keindahan alam, suasana pedesaan, dan keaslian sosial budaya masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang pengembangan potensi Desa Wisata Munggu sebagai daya tarik wisata berbasis masyarakat di Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengembangan potensi Desa Wisata Munggu sebagai daya tarik wisata berbasis masyarakat di Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Wisata Munggu, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif kristis dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung atau observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi pengembangan Desa Wisata Munggu didukung dengan daya tarik wisata (attraction) yang terdiri dari daya tarik wisata alam, budaya, spiritual, dan minat khusus, fasilitas pndukung pariwisata, aksesibilitas yang cukup memadai, dan kelembagaan yang mendukung pariwisata di Desa Wisata Munggu.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse marketing strategies using the STP (segmentation, targeting, and positioning) approach and the marketing mix strategy analysed through the 7Ps, namely product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process at Taman Mumbul Sangeh tourist attraction. This research is descriptive in nature, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on the analysis, two main conclusions can be drawn: (1) the marketing strategy based on STP focuses more on domestic tourists, who are predominantly aged between 12 and 70 years, with marketing promotions conducted through social media platforms like Instagram and word-of-mouth; and (2) Taman Mumbul Sangeh offers unique tourist products such as pancoran solas (purification), Taman Mumbul temple, and a large pond, which are distinctive features of Taman Mumbul Sangeh that should be preserved and maintained. The pricing strategy should be competitive in the market. Marketing efforts utilise social media platforms and word-of-mouth, while also raising community awareness to participate in promoting Taman Mumbul Sangeh tourist attraction.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify factors that play a role in improving English language skills in students in Bali who intend to undergo internships abroad. The research method used is quantitative with a factor analysis approach. The research sample involved students from various study programs at universities in Bali. The results of the factor analysis show that there are several main factors that significantly affect the improvement of English language skills in students. The research found out that learning motivation and formal education are the main factor in improving English Language proficiency of students in Bali for intership abroad. However, there are other factors including basic capabilities, learning environment and study habit to have basic knowledge of English which also affected the ability to speak English for students who want to do internship abroad. Thus, among other factors, this research found two factors affected most improvement of English proficiency of students in Bali for joining intership overseas are learning motivation and formal education.

Abstract

The study of expression to refer tourist object through writing as cooperative activity is held to identify the structure of expression since this activity gives more time to revise ideas. The idea to write based on own experience of viting object and write it with partner to open access learning together. There are 3 research questions such as form and stucture, information covers and cohesion. Data collected from general English online learning and then analyzed descriptively. To motivate the expected expression, a simple model sentence is provided. Research found out 3 conclusions. First, there are 3 categories based on form and structure chosen, such as (a) copying model in which only a few words are replaced without necessary agrement so that the expression seems similar to model. (b) Modified sentences produce additional sentence elements, for example object uniqueness and the object advantages compared to other. (c) The ability to improve is clearly found in third category where various additional information, such as attractions, photo spots, facilities, entrance tickets, to culinary delights are added. (2) The coverage of expressions includes six of the eight commonly used to refers object, i.e object name, region, theme, closest object, icon, and access. (3) The cohesion is done by cohesion tools, such as this, there, and introductory. Keywords: expression to refer tourist object, form and stucture, coverage, cohesion.

Abstract

Jika masyarakat Barat selalu merencanakan liburan (traveling) setiap tahun maka bepergian untuk kepentingan bersenang-senang sangat minim dilakukan oleh masyarakat Bali. Berwisata for pleasure umumnya digantikan dengan berwisata religius seraya mengungkapkan bakti, dalam bentuk matirta yatra, maajar-ajar, dan melukat. Kegiatan matirta yatra dan meajar-ajar cenderung dipahami sebagai bepergian untuk melaksanakan persembahyangan, akan tetapi, kegiatan melukat memiliki makna yang lebih dalam yakni kunjungan untuk kepentingan membersihkan diri terlebih dahulu baru bisa dilanjutkan dengan persembahyangan. Penelitian didorong oleh pertanyaan menggelitik; apakah orang yang melukat identik dengan orang penuh dosa, sakit-sakitan, atau menderita tekanan jiwa sehingga mesti dibersihkan dengan air suci? Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Sangeh Badung dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan selanjutnya dianalisa secara deskriptif. Penelitian menghasilkan tiga simpulan: (a) Terdapat dua pemahaman terkait melukat, yakni melukat dimaknai sebagai ritual yang wajib membutuhkan sederet sajen dan kehadiran pendeta/pemangku atas permintaan dalam waktu tertentu, dan melukat yang bernuansa berwisata dengan sajen seadanya dan ketersediaan pemangku setiap saat; (b) Tahapan melukat harus mengikuti petunjuk setempat. Biasanya sajen dihaturkan terlebih dahulu lalu diteruskan dengan mandi di pancuran. Penggunaan pakaian diwajibkan menggunakan pakaian adat Bali karena melukat dijiwai keyakinan agama Hindu. (c) Peserta melukat sebagai wisata religius dapat diikuti oleh setiap orang tanpa batasan umur sepanjang memerhatikan kesopanan dan arahan pengelola. Guyuran air yang sejuk berdampak pada kesegaran tubuh dan ketenangan jiwa sehingga merasa bugar, perkataan terkontrol, dan berlaku santun. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh Hotel Asa Larantuka dalam menangani reservasi kamar di masa pandemi dan kebijakan untuk tamu yang melakukan refund, reschedule, cancel dan no show. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskripsi kualitatif. Di tengah pandemi, Hotel Asa tetap menggunakan kebijakan sebelumnya yang sudah ada dan menerapkan beberapa kebijakan terkait SOP check-in dan walk-in guest. Tidak ada kebijakan khusus dari pihak manajemen Hotel Asa terkait kebijakan reservasi kamar di situasi pandemi Covid 19 ini. Namun, dalam observasi peneliti menemukan bahwa aturan terkait protokol kesehatan dijalankan dengan ketat oleh pihak manajemen. Mengenai reservasi (refund, reschedule, cancel dan no show) di masa pandemi, manajemen hotel Asa menerapkan kebijakan sebagai berikut: mengenai refund, cancel dan no show, jika tamu melakukan refund, cancel dan no show, maka Hotel Asa akan melakukan refund 50:50 (setengah refund untuk tamu yang sudah melakukan pre-paid reservation). Jika kesalahan dilakukan oleh pihak hotel, maka dana akan dikembalikan secara penuh kepada tamu tanpa potongan apapun. Mengenai penjadwalan ulang, jika tamu meminta penjadwalan ulang untuk menginap di hari lain, dan di hari yang diinginkan tamu tidak ada kamar yang tersedia, maka pihak hotel tidak akan langsung menyetujui permintaan penjadwalan ulang tersebut tetapi memberikan alternatif lain kepada tamu seperti menginap di hotel lain dengan jaminan mendapatkan fasilitas dan pelayanan yang sama.
