Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan buku ilmiah populer berdasarkan potensi lokal yang dimiliki sebuah daerah merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang sering muncul dalam pembelajaran materi invertebrata khususnya echinodermata yang memiliki materi cukup banyak dan kompleks. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul Hewan Berduri dari Pesisir Pulau Denawan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah model pengembangan oleh Plomp dan Nieveen yang dibatasi sampai pada fase evaluasi formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku ilmiah populer yang telah dikembangkan memperoleh kriteria sangat valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 88,02% dan guru mitra dengan persentase sebesar 90,1%, sedangkan berdasarkan uji perorangan buku ilmiah populer ini mendapatkan kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 90,1%. Hasil tersebut menggambarkan bahwa buku ilmiah populer yang telah dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas yang sangat tinggi karena telah bersifat kontekstual, memiliki bahasa yang mudah dipahami, memiliki tampilan yang menarik, sesuai dengan pembelajaran saintifik, dan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Buku ilmiah populer Hewan Berduri dari Pesisir Pulau Denawan dapat menjadi media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi echinodermata.The validity of echinodermata's popular scientific book in Pulau Sembilan Kotabaru for senior high school students' in the coastal area. Learning by using popular scientific books based on local potential owned by a region is one solution that can be used to overcome the problems that often arise in the learning of invertebrate materials, especially echinoderms that have enough material and complex. This development research aims to describe the validity of the prototype of a popular scientific book entitled Hewan Berduri dari Pesisir Pulau Denawan. The research method used is a development model by Plomp and Nieveen which is limited to formative evaluation phase based on Tessmer model. The results showed that the popular scientific books that have been developed to obtain criteria very valid based on the validation of experts with average percentage of 88.02% and partner teachers with a percentage of 90.1%, while based on the individual test of this popular scientific book get very criteria both with an average percentage of 90.1%. These results illustrate that popular scientific books that have been developed have a very high degree of validity because they are contextual, have a language that is easy to understand, has an attractive appearance, in accordance with scientific learning, and can develop critical thinking skills. The popular scientific book Hewan Berduri dari Pesisir Pulau Denawan can be a medium of learning to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes on echinodermata material.

Abstract

The aims of the research were to identify and describe the form of the community’s participation in the waste management of urban area in the Kotabaru Regency; to know the community’s participation level for the waste management of urban areas; and to know the affecting factors the community’s participation for the waste management of urban areas. The research was conducted in Kotabaru Regency. The sampel village was determined purposively, namely semayapVillage, North Sea Island Subdistrict. Where was included the ragion of the waste management for the urban Development and Housing Service Kotabaru Regency, with the most densely number of inhabitant and household. Data collection used survey and interview method. Sampling was in accidental method on 10% of the total sample populationin the three of the most densely neighbourhood associations (RT) on the sample village. The results showed that the community’s participation in the waste management of urban areas in the Kotabaru Regency observed to community activity related with the cleanliness of the residence and the environment around, covered three stages, namely planning, the implementation and the supervision. The community’s participation for the waste management of urban areas in the Kotabaru Regency, totally dominant was classed as moderate to high, and very few be classed as low, so as the hypothesis that the level of the community's participation in the waste management of urban areas in the Kotabaru Regency still was classified as low could be refused. The community’s participation level for the waste management of urban areas was significantly affected by formal education level and the government institution role, but that was not affected by age and household income.

Abstract

Watershed Rehabilitation activities are one of the efforts in carrying out soil and water conservation. Evaluation of plant growth Watershed rehabilitation needs to be carried out to determine the success of these activities. In a case study at the Gunung Batu block location, it was found that there was a positive and strong correlation between the variable height dimension increase and crown diameter increase in Kayu Putih (Melaleuca cajuputi) plants. The regression equation was built using the dimensional variables of Total Plant Height as a result of ground sampling and the diameter of the crown as a result of orthophoto drone interpretation. By using 4 regression equation models, it was concluded that the best coefficient of determination was generated from the exponential regression model with a value of = 0.96 with the equation y = 0.3016e1.3573x which was built using a height class of 20 cm. The accuracy test was carried out to see how far the standard deviation of the model was. Estimation of the height of 23 Kayu Putih (Melaleuca cajuputi) plants with a height range of 1.2 to 3.5 meters was carried out using 4 regression equation models, where the data were plant data that were not used in building 4 models. The best standard deviation value produced is 0.11 meters which is obtained from the range of plant heights from 1.2 to 1.8 meters using the exponential regression model equation.

Abstract

The research location is in Asam-Asam PT Arutmin Indonesia, located in District Jorong, Tanah Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. This study aims to determine the relationship of visual rock with PAF and NAF rock properties based on the distribution pattern, volume, and utilization. Visual identification that shows the strong correlation of PAF on the grain size of silt, color dark gray lithology, and lithologic silt. a strong correlation was also found on NAF rock with a grain size of clay, fine sand, very fine sand. In the color white rock medium, medium gray, light gray. obtained a volume of PAF: 208 309 329 BCM, NAF = 200 764 182 BCM volume, so the volume of NAF to be taken can coat 3,5 meters disposal.

Abstract

Research was aimed to study the behavior of Bekantan (Nasalis larvatus) in ex-situ conservation at PT Indocement Tarjun. The research of Bekantan’s behavior used several methodology. Firstly, it was observed several kinds and compositions of daily food which was consumed by Bekantan. Secondly, it was also observed the average daily behavior such as : the movement, the visual body condition and the growth in weight and height of Bekantan. The Observations were done for 2 months in 4 sample of the research. The results were compared to the Bekantan’s behavior which lived in its nature habitat. The results showed that there was no difference of its behavior in the study of food composition between the  Bekantan in ex-situ conservation compare to the Bekantan in its nature habitat. In average,  Bekantan in ex-situ conservation ate 76% leaves’tip. It was also investigated that several kinds of food eaten by Bekantan in ex-situ conservation, such as : “balaran” leaf ( Ipomea sp ), “kacangan” leaf ( Calopogonium caerulium), which are usually planted as cover crop, and “ketapang’s” tip of leaf ( T. catappa ). The daily activity of Bekantan’s behavior in ex-situ conservation was shown that there was no difference of its behavior compare to the Bekantan in its nature habitat. The Bekantan in its nature habit was mainly doing no activity, except resting and sleeping. The Bekantan in ex-situ conservation had more activity of movement. They moved, jumped, swinged, and walking using 2 or 4 feet. The conclusion of this research was found a similar eating habits of Bekantan in ex-situ conservation at PT Indocement Tarjun and Bekantan which lived in its habit. The investigation of food compositions showed that about 76% of both Bekantan ate leaves. The leaves’s tip could get from both tips of tree leaf or vegetables. There was a changing of Bekantan’s behavior in term of its movement. Bekantan in ex-situ conservation moved with jumping, swinging, and walking with 2 or 4 feet, hanging, and propagation.

Abstract

Learning human physiology is a study that we often encounter in everyday life related to the condition of the body, at any time it can experience problems or abnormalities that result in a decrease in the condition of human health itself. In addition, along with the development of science and technology, more and more problems are encountered in learning human physiology, so that the ability to think is needed in solving existing problems. This study aims to describe the profile of students' abilities in solving critical problems on the concept of human physiology. The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection instruments in this study included the main instrument, namely the researcher himself and the supporting instrument in the form of a written assignment to describe the profile of students who had programmed human physiology courses. Students are categorized based on a hypothetical theory which contains five levels of critical thinking skills, namely very critical, critical, moderately critical, less critical, and not critical. The results showed that the ability profile of several students of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University in solving critical problems on the concept of human physiology. Consists of four levels of critical thinking skills, namely very critical, critical, moderately critical, and less critical.AbstrakPembelajaran fisiologi manusia merupakan kajian yang sering kita jumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berhubungan dengan kondisi tubuh, sewaktu-waktu dapat mengalami permasalahan atau kelainan yang berakibat pada menurunnya kondisi kesehatan manusia itu sendiri. Selain itu, seiring dengan perkembangan IPTEK maka semakin banyak pula permasalahan yang dijumpai dalam pembelajaran fisiologi manusia, sehingga diperlukan kemampuan berpikir dalam penyelesaian masalah yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian masalah secara kritis pada konsep fisiologi manusia. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi instrumen utama yaitu peneliti sendiri dan instrumen pendukung berupa tugas tertulis untuk mendeskripsikan profil mahasiswa yang telah memprogramkan mata kulah fisiologi manusia. Mahasiswa dikategorikan berdasarkan teori hipotetik yangberisi lima tingkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, yaitu sangat kritis, kritis, cukup kritis, kurang kritis, dan tidak kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil kemampuan beberapa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Lambung Mangkuratdalam penyelesaian masalah secara kritis pada konsep fisiologi manusia. Terdiri dari empat tingkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu sangat kritis, kritis, cukup kritis, dan kurang kritis.

Abstract

Learning resources can be developed by utilizing the surrounding environment or based on local potential. Individual intelligence will grow and develop through a process of interaction with their environment, so it is necessary to use the environment in contextual learning. One of the sources of learning based on local potential that can be developed is popular scientific books. The development of learning resources in the form of popular scientific books in this study aims to overcome the problem of limited learning resources in low plant botanical subjects, especially on the topic of fungi with macroscopic materials and examples of fungi from the environment. This development research aims to test the practicality of a popular scientific book entitled "Forest Fungi Tabanio Beach". This development method uses Tessmer's formative evaluation. The practicality of popular scientific books was carried out by 3 students as small group test subjects to obtain expected practicality data and 17 students as field test subjects to obtain actual practicality data using student response questionnaires. In addition, data on the implementation of popular scientific books which were assessed by 3 observers were also obtained. The results showed that the developed popular scientific books were practical to be used as enrichment for Low Plant Botany courses.Abstrak Sumber belajar dapat dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar atau berbasis potensi lokal. Intelegensi individu akan tumbuh dan berkembang melalui proses interaksi dengan lingkungannya, sehingga perlu adanya pemanfaatan lingkungan dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal yang dapat dikembangkan salah satunya yaitu buku ilmiah populer. Pengembangan sumber belajar berbentuk buku ilmiah populer dalam penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah keterbatasan sumber belajar pada mata kuliah botani tumbuhan rendah khususnya pada topik jamur dengan materi dan contoh-contoh jamur makroskopis dari lingkungan. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menguji kepraktisan buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul "Jamur Hutan Pantai Tabanio". Metode pengembangan ini menggunakan evaluasi formatif dari Tessmer. Kepraktisan buku ilmiah populer dilakukan oleh 3 orang mahasiswa sebagai subjek uji small group untuk memperoleh data kepraktisan harapan dan 17 orang mahasiswa sebagai subjek uji field test untuk memperoleh data kepraktisan aktual dengan menggunakan angket respon mahasiswa. Selain itu juga diperoleh data keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer yang dinilai oleh 3 observer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan praktis digunakan sebagai pengayaan mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Rendah.

Abstract

The development of a popular scientific book that is developed based on the local potential of a region is one solution that can be used to overcome problems that often arise such as a lack of student reading interest due to boring teaching materials and learning medifications in the Low Plant Botany course, especially in several studies of shrub diversity that require students to make direct observations. This development research aims to describe the practicality of the popular scientific book prototype entitled "Diversity of the Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village." The research method used was the development model by EDR which was limited to the formative evaluation phase based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the results of the feasibility test for popular scientific books got an average score of 88.9% with very good criteria and the results of student responses to popular scientific books got an average of 89.18% with criterion strongly agree. This shows that a popular scientific book entitled "Diversity of Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village" is very practical to be used as an enrichment material in learning Low Plant Botany.AbstrakPengembangan sebuah buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan berdasarkan potensi lokal yang dimiliki sebuah daerah merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang sering muncul seperti kurangnya minat membaca mahasiswa karena bahan ajar dan medifikasi pembelajaran yang membosankan pada mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi khususnya pada beberapa kajian keanekaragaman semak yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk melakukan pengamatan langsung. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah model pengembangan Education Design Reserch (EDR) yang dibatasi sampai pada fase evaluasi formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil uji keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 88,9% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respond mahasiswa terhadap buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan rata-rata 89,18% dengan kriteris sangat setuju. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” sangat praktis digunakan sebagai bahan pengayaan dalam pembelajaran Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi.

Abstract

Learning using popular scientific books based on the local potential of an area is one solution that can be used to overcome students' lack of reading interest in learning due to limited learning resources in the Pteridophyta concept. This study aims to describe the practicality of a popular scientific book Diversity of the Tabanio Coastal Forest Pteridophyta. The method used is development research with the Tessmer formative test. The results showed that popular scientific books that have been developed obtained student responses with an average of 94.3% with very good criteria and the results of implementing the use of popular scientific books with an average of 92.6% with very good criteria. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan uji formatif Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buku ilmiah populer yang telah dikembangkan memperoleh hasil respons mahasiswa dengan rata-rata sebesar 94,3% dengan kriteria sangat setuju dan hasil keterlaksanaan penggunaan buku ilmiah populer dengan rata-rata sebesar 92,6% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Abstract

Cultural heritage in an area that is unique is one step in preserving it so that it can be used as a source of learning based on local potential in contextual learning developed in popular scientific book teaching materials. This development research entitled "Ethnobotany of Moraceae Plants Case Study at KHDTK ULM" aims to examine the practicality of the contents of the BIP, the practicality of expectations and the actual of BIP. The method in developing this research is to lead to formative evaluation by Tessmer. The results of the research on the readability test got very good criteria with an average value of 94.23%, in addition, the results of the BIP implementation test with an average value of 95.18% so that it can be grouped into very good criteria and the results of student responses show the average score BIP is 96.15% so it can be grouped into very practical criteria. This shows that a popular scientific book with the title "Plant Ethnobotany Moraceae case study at KHDTK ULM" is very practical to use and attracts students' reading interest in Ethnobotany learning.Abstrak Warisan budaya pada suatu daerah yang bersifat khas yaitu salah satu langkah dalam melestarikannya sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal dalam pembelajaran kontekstual yang dikembangkan dalam bahan ajar buku ilmiah populer. Penelitian pengembangan ini berjudul “Etnobotani Tumbuhan Moraceae Studi kasus di KHDTK ULM” memiliki tujuan untuk menguji kepraktisan isi BIP, kepraktisan harapan dan aktual BIP. Metode dalam pengembangan penelitian ini yaitu menggarah pada evaluasi formatif oleh Tessmer. Hasil penelitian pada uji keterbacaan mendapatkan kriteria sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 94,23%, selain itu, hasil uji keterlaksanaan BIP dengan nilai rata-rata 95.18% sehingga dapat dikelompokan dalam kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respon mahasiswa menunjukan hasil nilai rata-rata BIP yaitu 96,15% sehingga dapat dikelompokan dalam kriteria sangat praktis. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Etnobotani Tumbuhan Moraceae studi kasus di KHDTK ULM” sangat praktis digunakan dan menarik minat baca mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Etnobotani.
