Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the effect of Capital Adequacy Levels (CAR), Operational Efficiency (OEOI), Credit Risk (NPF) and Liquidity (FDR) partially on Profitability (ROA), (2) to determine the effect of the effect of Capital Adequacy Levels (CAR), Operational efficiency (OEOI), Credit risk (NPF) and Liquidity (FDR) simultaneously on Profitability (ROA), and (3) to determine which of the effect of Capital Adequacy Levels (CAR), Operational efficiency (OEOI), Credit risk (NPF) and Liquidity (FDR) has the most influence on Profitability (ROA) in Islamic banking registered with the OJK for the period 2015-2019. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The result of research is multiple linear regression equation Y = 21,756 + 0,11X1 - 0,349X2 + 0,507X3 + 0,117X4 + e. Partially CAR has no significant effect on the ROA, OEOI has a significant negative effect on the ROA, NPF and FDR has a significant positive effect on the ROA. Simultaneously CAR, OEOI, NPF and FDR partially to ROA. The most dominant variable in this research is OEOI with value -13,352. The predictive ability of these variables on ROA in this study was 89,1%, while the remaining 10,9% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

The objective of these research was to study the impact of ultrasonication and delignification pretreatments in several wood species on their easiness for enzymatic hydrolysis, having the potential to be developed as the feedstocks for bioethanol production. Four different wood species from three botanical gardens in Indonesia have been selected, i.e., Gymnostoma sumatranum, Firmiana malayana, Pterocarpus indicus, and Alstonia scholaris, due to their higher sugar released values than a fast-grown tree, Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria), when all were directly enzymatically hydrolyzed without pretreatment. The sugar released values after ultrasonication and enzymatic hydrolysis were between 3 – 5.5 mg/100 mg wood meal. When delignification pretreatment was performed, the sugar released values were higher than those with ultrasonication, ranging between 4 – 10.2 mg/100 mg wood meal. All the sugar released values after pretreatment were higher than those without pretreatment. Gymnostoma sumatranum was selected as the most potential wood species in this study due to its consistency among the species producing highest sugar released across different treatments. The SEM results showed that there was no significant changes in the morphological structure of the untreated fiber before and after enzymatic saccharification since it still had a complex structure due to the high lignin content. However, after the delignification treatment, the surface morphology of the fiber showed a decrease in the number of pits of the fiber, the surface residual of pits were reduced, parallel lines were more clearly visible, and the fiber structure was damaged with more small holes presented. The surface morphology of the fiber from the wood powder having delignification pretreatment supports the sugar released values which shows that the these values were higher than other treatments due to more recalcitrant substances were degraded, making it was easier for enzymes to break down cellulose. After ultrasonication, the SEM result showed less disrupted cell wall compared to after delignification which confirmed the higher sugar released data with delignification.

A multi-industrial sector company is one of the companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and is considered more productive and can provide wide-ranging effects so as to increase the added value of raw materials, increase workforce, produce various consumer needs, generate foreign exchange sources, and contribute to taxes and largest customs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Ownership Structure on Firm Value with Debt Policy as an intervening variable in Multi-Industrial Sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020. The population of this study is all companies in the various industrial sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2020 period as many as 51 companies. The sampling technique was determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study used the Structural Equation-Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) method. The results of the direct influence hypothesis test using the Smart PLS 3.0 application, show that ownership structure has a negative but not significant effect on debt policy, ownership structure has a negative but not significant effect on firm value, debt policy has a significant positive effect on firm value. The results of the indirect effect hypothesis test show that the ownership structure has a positive but not significant effect on firm value through debt policy.
