Abstract

Abstract: Covid-19 outbreak has already created such big changes in education all over the world. However, rapid response improvement is needed to overcome the reality. One of the improvements is using Project Based Learning (PBL) which ensured that students can still become active and enthusiastic during remote learning. PBL implementation can be done using collaborative technique, which empirically proven to have better result. This research took place in Information System Study Program at Universitas Ma Chung Malang, in course which includes laboratory activity (in this case is Programming Language course). This implementation then being measured using focus group discussion (FGD), which gather and interviewing random sampling to evaluate its effectiveness and being held twice in one semester, thus it can review and repair the implementation during half semester. This research should give generic prescription as its result for other lecturers who has difficulties in improving remote learning process during Covid-19 outbreak or post outbreak. After evaluating the implementation with three main topics (development of students, collaboration aspect, and professional development) from random sampling students, there are some improvements to made, which are: (1) lecturer become more active involved, (2) invite professional to give guest lecturer, (3) encourage about the importance of teamwork, and (4) giving reward and penalty.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused the effects of learning activities from home. The phenomenon requires improvisation as a quick response so that the teaching and learning process continues to run and maintains learning motivation, especially in the scope of college. Activities that are assumed to be able to maintain motivation online is to provide tasks in the form of projects or Project Based Learning (PBL) which in this context does not mean eliminating face-to-face activities offline, but in the sense of providing sustainable projects in one semester and staying connected to lecture materials. This PBL is combined with Collaborative Learning (CL) in order to conduct a continuous project review. This research was conducted in Ma Chung University's Information Systems study program for Programming Language courses. The results of this implementation are evaluated by conducting FGD (Focus Group Discussion) in two stages. In the first stage there are some shortcomings that are then corrected by adding the obligation to upload the project to Github and intensify the involvement of lecturers. So in the second stage, FGD results show improved results. The results of the study are generic prescriptions, namely: the implementation of PBL accompanied by a mature plan and preparation, improvisation of PBL accompanied by the application of CL accompanied by the role of lecturers as facilitators need to be evaluated gradually, and the implementation of online collaboration can be applied because students can quickly adapt online. Abstract

TKK Santa Maria 3 is formed in the 1980s under the auspices of the Surabaya Dharma Putri Association Foundation. One of the difficulties faced emerged after the Covid-19 pandemic occurred online learning. In addition to facilities and infrastructure, the existing human resources at the TKK Santa Maria 3 Malang school still do not have adequate provisions for the implementation of online learning. Therefore, the service team from Ma Chung University held training for kindergarten teachers, especially at TKK Santa Maria 3  Malang, during the pandemic and post-pandemic, in order to be better prepared in the online learning process. This hybrid, offline and online activity is carried out in early 2021 with the hope that teachers can be more confident and apply better creativity in carrying out online learning. In practice, there are three main materials based on brainstorming and initial situation analysis, namely: (1) seeking information or seeking information, (2) blended learning and (3) acquisition of information or acquiring information that has been obtained for dissemination to students. The results of these activities can be carried out well, but after the evaluation is complete, there are several things that still need further explanation and adaptation in the post-pandemic PTMT period in 2022. So it is recommended that the team should hold similar activities again by adding more material which can bring teachers to adapt to the new conditions at current condition

Abstract

OKOS is an online boarding information system that can make it easier for boarding house seekers to choose the boarding house they want, besides that boarding house owners can also register their boarding house business premises. OKOS was created to meet the needs of boarding house seekers from outside the city to be more helpful in finding a boarding house and boarding house owners who can be helped in promoting their boarding house business. The method used to research the creation of the OKOS is the SDLC waterfall which consists of planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The conclusion from making the OKOS information system website is that OKOS can meet the needs of boarding house owners and boarding house seekers because OKOS can be an intermediary between boarding house seekers and boarding house owners even though they are in different cities. In addition, OKOS provides complete information so that boarding house seekers can choose a boarding house based on the type of boarding house, facilities, price, room area, maximum occupants per room, to a map of the boarding location. The suggestion that the author can convey is that there is a need for further research on what things are considered for boarding house seekers to choose the desired or needed boarding house so that it can be considered by boarding house owners or application developers like OKOS to attract the attention of boarding house seekers

Abstract

Abstract

The Ma Chung University community service team, which had discussed in a brainstorming session with the BLK managers, then agreed to provide videography training with the PBL (Project Based Learning) model with the assumption that the model was better able to increase the enthusiasm for learning and optimize the creative potential of the participants. The training, which was carried out offline for a limited time in the Poncokusumo area, Malang Regency, was proven to be able to improve the skills of the participants in learning and more visible learning outcomes based on the video project made by the participants. So it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model in this training process can be more effective in the limited training period.
