Abstract

East Java Province is one of the leading national chili producers. But, East Java still imports chilies to meet fluctuating demand and prices. The variables of imports, production, consumption, pricing, and currency rates were employed in this study and ranged from 2019 to 2021. This study aims to forecast the volume of chili imports in East Java for the next year (12 months) and analyze the factors that influence chili imports in East Java to determine the most dominant influencing factors. The method used in this study is (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) ARIMA model and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show: The development of chili imports in East Java in the prediction results with the ARIMA model (1,1,1) shows that chili imports have a downward trend, and simultaneously chili imports are influenced by production, consumption, price, and exchange rate, with consumption as the most dominant factor. It is hoped that the government will regulate the volume of imports by imposing import quotas and controlling chili prices

Abstract

The partnership performance of broiler chickens in the nucleus-plasma partnership pattern can be seen from the aspect of profitability, both at the core company and plasma breeders. A balanced partnership performance will create mutually beneficial and unilateral cooperation. This study aims to test the performance of the partnership by analyzing the core-plasma profitability of broiler chicken farms. This study was conducted from December 2020 to January 2021 in Kasiman District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. The population in this study was PT. Charoen Pokphand and all broiler bredeers who have a partnership with PT. X and the determinan of respondents is done by census. Data collected were analyzed descriptive quantitatively. The results of the study show that the profitability of the core company is in very healthy condition while the profitability of the plasma breeders is in a healthy condition so that the performance of the core and plasma partnerships in the broiler chicken farm is unilateral weight and is more profitable for the core company.Keywords: rentability; chicken; core-plasma partnership

Abstract

Indonesian mangoes have an excellent opportunity to participate in the international market, but amid intense competition in the international market, Indonesian mangoes feel unable to compete. This study analyzes trade specialization, comparative advantage, and competitive advantage, as well as Indonesia's position as a mango exporter in the global market. The Trade Specialty Index (TSI) is a method used to analyze trade specialization, while Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) is a method for analyzing comparative advantage, and Export Product Dynamics (EPD) is a method for analyzing competitive advantage and market position for Indonesian mangoes. The study falls under the quantitative category because it uses secondary data in the form of a time series that spans ten years, from 2012 to 2021. The research uses India, Thailand, and Pakistan as comparison countries and Singapore, Malaysia, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany as destination countries. According to the results of the TSI analysis, Indonesian mangoes exhibit trade specialization as importers in five destination countries, except for Malaysia and Singapore. Malaysia and Singapore are in the growth stage, Germany is in the introduction stage, and four other countries are in the import substitution stage. According to the average value of revealed comparative advantage (RCA), only two of the seven destination nations, Malaysia and France, exhibited strong competitiveness for Indonesian mangoes. The Export Product Dynamic (EPD) matrix reveals that Indonesian mangoes are in a retreating position toward the markets of Malaysia and Singapore. At the same time, the other five target countries are in a falling star position. Increasing the value of TSI, RCA, and EPD can be accomplished by improving post-harvest technology to increase production quantity and quality and developing marketing networks.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mentoring marketing, accounting, and production on the acceleration start-up program to the performance of the food and beverages start-up in Indonesia. For the Accelererator Start-Up using 3 variable which is mentoring marketing, finance, and production. The research method used is the quantitative analysis using a questionnaire. The number of samples in this study was 31 food and beverages start-up which join Food Start-Up Inovation Accelerator Program in Accelerice Indonesia. This study uses warpPLS software 7.0 to process data to find answers to hypotheses. The research results show that mentoring marketing and production affect the performance but mentoring finance does not affect the performance of the food and beverages start-up which join this program

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the added value of siwalan dawet and legen siwalan products in Hendrosari Village, Menganti District, Gresik Regency and to analyze the strategy of developing Siwalan agroindustry in Hendrosari Village, Menganti District, Gresik Regency. The data analysis method used in this study was descriptive quantitative, covering the data processing stage and descriptive data interpretation. The analysis used consisted of value added analysis of the hayami method and SWOT analysis. The results obtained from this study are the added value resulting from processing siwalan fruit into siwalan dawet is higher than the added value from processing siwalan sap into siwalan legen. %, while the added value from processing siwalan sap into siwalan legen is IDR 1,000/bottle or 29%. The SWOT analysis shows the IFAS value of 3.05 and the EFAS value of 2.78. This value is in quadrant IV (stability growth), in the internal external matrix including the White Area, so the strategy that can be done is the S-O strategy. The S-O strategy is a strategy used to maximize the strengths and opportunities of the Siwalan agroindustry. The strategy that can be used is to strengthen relations with suppliers to maintain the availability of raw materials, maintain the existing market and expand the reach of market share, increase the production capacity of dawet siwalan.

Abstract

Background: This research delves into the book "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman, exploring the intersection of environmental ethics and the environmental crises arising from human exploitation of nature. Method: The study employs a qualitative literature review methodology, drawing insights from primary and secondary sources to shed light on the ethical dimensions of environmental degradation. Findings: The findings underscore the critical role of environmental ethics in guiding sustainable development practices, emphasizing the need for responsible stewardship of natural resources and the preservation of biodiversity. Conclusion: The article advocates for an ethical framework that integrates environmental considerations into decision-making processes, fostering a sense of responsibility and promoting sustainable development practices that prioritize environmental health, social equity, and long-term well-being. Novelty/Originality in this Study:  By imagining a world without human presence, this study not only explores the impact of human exploitation of nature but also formulates an innovative, ethical framework for sustainable development, challenging how we view human-nature relationships.

Abstract

Poverty and social problems give rise to many different perspectives and analyzes related to the causative factors and their complexity. These differences have an impact on different social interventions conducted by various parties, including among pesantren in Indonesia. Using qualitative method, this study explores the perspectives and analysis of pesantren on poverty and community empowerment in two pesantrens organizing socio-economic empowerment programs for subordinate groups namely Pesantren Al-Imdad in Yogyakarta and Pesantren Maslakul Huda in Central Java. This research results in three types of analysis, i.e. conventional, semi-progressive and progressive. The conventional analysis defines poverty as community’s inability to meet their basic needs, caused by their own mistakes of not having skills and enterpreneurship so that empowerment is viewed as a tool to direct the community in accordance with the pesantren’s decisions of empowerment programs. The semi-progressive analysis defines poverty as a multidimenstional problem, caused by structural and human factors so that empowerment is viewed as a strategy to increase the capacity of community and pesantren. The progressive analysis defines poverty as multidimentional problem, caused by structural factors and community is seen as a victim of unjust system so that empowerment is viewed as pesantren's alignments to subordinate groups by organizing joint forces to fight for the rights and interests of the community.

Abstract

Bertani Untuk Negeri adalah suatu program magang bagi mahasiswa aktif pertanian, perkebunan, dan peternakan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas serta sebagai wadah berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman dengan petani secara langsung di lapangan. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bulili, Kecamatan Nokilalaki, Kabupaten Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah yang berfokus pada komoditi kakao. Mahasiswa magang dapat langsung berinteraksi dengan petani untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan mereka, salah satunya mengenai rehabilitasi tanaman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menjalin komunikasi dan tali silaturahmi yang baik antara mahasiswa magang dan petani dampingan, (2) Memberikan pemahaman kepada petani terkait pentingnya melakukan rehabilitasi pada tanaman kakao tua yang beproduktivitas rendah, (3) Petani dapat melakukan rehabilitasi tanaman secara mandiri. Pencapaian tujuan kegiatan pendampingan ini dilakukan melalui beberapa kegiatan, yaitu 1) Observasi, 2) Perencanaan pendampingan, 3) Pelaksanaan pendampingan, 4) Evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini, mahasiswa magang dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya melakukan rehabilitasi pada tanaman tua yang telah mencapai usia 20 tahun ke atas, syarat-syarat melakukan rehabilitasi tanaman, dan perawatan yang harus dilakukan setelah rehabilitasi tanaman. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah terjalin komunikasi dan tali silaturahmi yang baik antara mahasiswa magang dan petani dampingan, petani memahami pentingnya melakukan rehabilitasi tanaman, dan dapat mempraktekkan langsung teknik rehabilitasi tanaman di kebun masing-masing.

Abstract

Bertani untuk negeri (BUN) merupakan salah satu kegiatan magang yang ditujukan kepada mahasiswa di seluruh indonesia, khususnya mahasiswa aktif di bidang pertanian dan peternakan. Kegiatan magang bertani untuk negeri (BUN) ini merupakan magang dalam hal pendampingan kepada petani ataupun peternak. Peserta magang dalam magang bertani untuk negeri (BUN) ini ditunjuk untuk bisa membantu masalah petani ataupun kendala petani dalam kegiatan bertaninya, salah satunya yakni dalam proses penerapan Good Agriculture Practices (GAP). Kegiatan pendampingan petani ini dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi secara langsung, konsultasi kepada mentor penanggung jawab kegiatan di lokasi magang mengenai kendala dan hambatan yang dialami petani, pelaksanaan pendmapingan, serta kegiatan sekolah lapang. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi secara langsung, berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara secara langsung kepada 21 petani, 16 dari 21 petani petani belum melaksanakan penerapan GAP, hal tersebut dikarenakan banyak petani yang belum paham apa itu GAP dan bagaimana penerapannya sehingga banyak tanaman kakao mereka yang produktivitasnya menurun. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini, mahasiswa magang dapat memberikan informasi, pengetahuan serta pemahaman kepada petani terkait pentingnya penerapan GAP dalam budidaya yang dilaksakannya. Hasil yang di peroleh selama kegiatan pendampingan diantaranya petani mampu memahami terkait pentingnya penerapan GAP, memahami praktik-praktik yang sesuai standar GAP seperti pemangkasan, pemupukan, sanitasi, panen sering, dan mempraktikkan secara langsung dalam budidaya tanaman yang dilakukan petani.

Abstract

UMKM merupakan usaha produktif yang membantu meningkatkan perekonomian di Indonesia. Peran digital marketing pada era modern ini juga sangat penting karena dapat mempengaruhi pasar. Pemasaran secara online kini menjadi salah satu tren yang paling banyak diminati karena mudah dan tidak membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Kegiatan promosi dan pencarian pasar dengan memanfaatkan jejaring sosial sangat cocok untuk digunakan meningkatkan penjualan suatu produk dan itu disebut sebagai digital marketing. Untuk mendapatkan laba yang sebesar – besarnya para pelaku UMKM sering kali mengkolaborasikan bersama media promosi digital. Akan tetapi banyak juga pelaku UMKM yang belum paham dan mengetahui terkait digital marketing. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan digital marketing untuk nasabah Bank BTPN Syariah ini sangat cocok untuk diberikan untuk meningkatkan usaha yang dimiliki.
