Abstract

Tuban Village, Kuta District, Badung Regency has quite a wide coastline and is the estuary of several rivers in Badung Regency. Geologically, the beach consists of alluvium deposits composed of pebbles, gravel, sand, silt and clay resulting from river water and sea water sedimentation processes, which are very good for the growth of mangroves. Mangroves are not only a collection of plants, but are one of the natural resources that can provide benefits to the human life and the lives of the marine biota. This condition did not last long due to rapid development causing the conversion of coastal land for fisheries cultivation, settlements and industry which had an adverse impact on the mangrove ecosystem. The death of mangroves and depletion of living habitat resulted in a decreasing mangrove population. The existence and sustainable of the mangrove forests need to be maintained through local community involvement in the form of Kampoeng Kepiting ecotourism to gain economic value. The mangrove forest rehabilitation program takes the form of planting and maintenance as one of the efforts to restore the mangrove ecosystem in Kampoeng Kepiting, Tuban Village, Kuta District.

Abstract

Training and assistance in making organic fertilizer from microorganism-based organic materials was carried out at SMP Negeri 11 Denpasar. This training and assistance in making organic fertilizer is a work program from SMP Negeri 11 Denpasar in collaboration with the community service team from PGRI Mahadewa University Indonesia. Making organic fertilizer through composting activities is one of various methods of processing organic waste which aims to reduce and also change the composition of waste into products that are useful in life. Waste produced in life activities from organic materials and plant leaf waste produced in school gardens can be processed into organic fertilizer by using microorganisms as activators. The students who carried out this organic fertilizer making activity were welcomed enthusiastically, there was a sense of curiosity, cooperation and high enthusiasm because it was related to science learning at school and their daily lives.

Abstract

The management of waste produced by community households is not yet optimal, especially the handling of organic waste. To reduce the negative impact of organic waste whose management is not optimal, community service is carried out in the form of education and socialization of the application of organic waste processing by creating "Tebe Modern". This service activity is carried out using a descriptive evaluative method which is carried out by describing and analyzing the situation of the land used and maximized by socialization activities about how to process source-based waste by making "Tebe Modern". The results of this community service activity produced very good results, marked by high appreciation and enthusiasm from students, related agencies and community leaders.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Desa Bongkasa Pertiwi, Abiansemal, Badung merupakan Desa Bongkasa merupakan desa yang memiliki potensi besar di bidang pertanian dan peternakan. Potensi tersebut diantaranya terdapat limbah bio-slurry atau kotoran ternak yang belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dan saluran penampungan limbah belum tertampung dengan baik. Selain itu, potensi di bidang sumber daya manusia Desa Bongkasa dengan kelompok-kelompok yang bergerak di bidang pertanian dan peternakan masih belum maksimal. Masyarakat Desa Bongkasa memiliki minat yang tinggi terhadap kegiatan pemanfaatan limbah ini, akan tetapi minimnya pengetahuan terkait aspek-aspek budidaya menjadi hambatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil produksi Bio-slurry merupakan salah satu limbah yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternative pengganti gas LPG namun belum semua masyarakat memanfaatkannya dengan maksimal. Pembuatan limbah ternak ini dan cara mengolah yang mudah dan bernilai jual tinggi menjadi salah satu alasan mengembangan limbah bio-slurry ini dari Desa Bongkasa Pertiwi dengan memanfaatkan warga desa terdampak Covid-19. Melalui Kelompok tani Manik Pertiwi,masyarakat Desa Bongkasa pertiwi telah mengembangkan pengolahan limbah Bio-slurry namun terdapat beberapa kendala sehingga pengelolaannya kurang maksimal. Adapun beberapa metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu : sosialisasi, pendampingan dan pelatihan pengolahan limbah bi-slurry, pengadaan alat, membantu menentukan desain kemasan produk dan membantu pemasaran melalui website serta media sosial. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah melakukan kegiatan diantaranya yaitu : Kelompok Tani di Desa bongkasa Pertiwi mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dalam mengolah limbah bio-slurry dengan baik dan memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi sebesar 85%.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram Kosabangsa ini bertujuan untuk menekan perusakan hutan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat melalui memberdayakan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan, montoring dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan program. Fokus kegiatan ada 2 yaitu beternak lebah madu Trigona sp. dan pemanfaatan limbah ternak menjadi pupuk organik untuk menekan perusakan hutan di Desa Tukadaya, Kecamatan Melaya, Kabupaten Jembrana, Bali. Mitra sasaran ada 2 yaitu: (1) Kelompok Budidaya Lemah Madu Sabda Wisesa berjumlah 20 orang dan (2) Kelompok Pupuk Organik Anglus Amertha Sari Berjumlah 20 orang.  Mitra berharap adanya program kegiatan pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam beternak lebah madu Trigona sp. dan pembuatan pupuk organik. Setelah pelatihan dan pendampingan berakhir masyarakat memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam beternak lebah madu Trigona dan pupuk organik untuk meningkatkan pendapatan, sehingga perusakan hutan dapat ditekan dan kelestarian hutan tetap terjaga. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan; lebah madu; pupuk organik; perusakan hutan; Tukadaya AbstractThe Kosabangsa program aims to reduce forest destruction by the community through community empowerment. The methods used include socialization, training and mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The focus of the activity is 2, namely raising Trigona sp. honey bees and utilizing livestock waste into organic fertilizer to reduce forest destruction in Tukadaya Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency, Bali. There are 2 target partners, namely: (1) the Sabda Wisesa Lemah Madu Cultivation Group consisting of 20 people and (2) the Anglus Amertha Sari Organic Fertilizer Group consisting of 20 people. Partners hope that there will be an empowerment program to increase community knowledge and skills in raising Trigona sp. honey bees and making organic fertilizer. After the training and mentoring ends, the community has an understanding and skills in raising Trigona honey bees and organic fertilizer to increase income, so that forest destruction can be reduced and forest sustainability is maintained. Keyword: empowerment; honey bees; organic fertilizer; forest destruction; Tukadaya

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the self regulated learning model on emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. The population in this study were all class X MIA students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar consisting of 7 classes. Sampling used a random sampling technique, where class X MIA 7 was the experimental class and class X MIA 5 was the control class. Emotional intelligence data and student learning outcomes data were obtained using an essay test method and analyzed using a t-test. Based on the analysis of the hypothesis testing of emotional intelligence data and student learning outcomes data with a t-test, a significance figure of 0.00 was obtained with a significance level of 5%. This shows that the examiner's significance figure <the set significance figure (0.00 <0.05) so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the self regulated learning model affects emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar.

Abstract

Local wisdom (local knowledge, local wisdom) acts as a source of innovation and skills that can be empowered for the welfare of society. Local wisdom related to natural resources, especially the diversity of biological resources, culture and customs contains a moral message that society always maintains natural resources and traditional traditions so that they do not change due to the development of the times. Biology, which discusses living things, including their variety, origins, habitat, interactions, utilization and sustainability, has been philosophically reflected in the social order of life in the form of local wisdom. The purpose of writing this article is to reveal that local wisdom can be used as a medium for learning biology in schools, and can also be used as a learning resource so that students are motivated to improve their scientific literacy skills in studying local wisdom into biology learning materials, so that its existence can be preserved. Local wisdom-based learning in the future is expected to instill character in the community to maintain and preserve ancestral heritage, especially biological resources, to be used sustainably to support community life. This writing method uses a literature review method combined with direct experience in society. The implementation of local wisdom-based learning can be in the form of assigning students to write papers and integrate them into biology learning materials about several local wisdoms of the Balinese people that have existed for generations in the form of religious ceremonies, mythology, and advice that is highly adhered to by the community.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness starting from the household environment, school, footpath and the wider environment really needs to be maintained together from garbage. SMP Negeri 11 Denpasar is located on the edge of Serangan Island beach and really needs shade trees, a fairly large playground and sports yard, lots of shade trees and the school canteen is a source of organic waste that needs to be managed properly. The existence of garbage really disturbs the beauty, beauty and source of disease and other negative impacts, so it needs to be managed properly so that there is no pile of garbage and reduces the sending of garbage to TPS. Management of organic waste into organic fertilizer and eco enzyme is a form of innovation and creativity to maintain the cleanliness of the school environment. Innovation and creativity can be implemented through community service activities in the form of training and mentoring in managing waste into organic fertilizer and eco enzyme. Community service activities can be carried out in collaboration with academics from universities as a form of implementing Tridharma. Training and mentoring in managing waste into organic fertilizer and eco enzyme is carried out in the school yard, so there will be interaction between students and the natural environment as a form of deep learning. The implementation of community service can be packaged in such a way that students can carry out activities well and happily as a form of developing the knowledge gained in classroom learning.

Abstract

Aktivitas kehidupan manusia setiap hari tidak terlepas dari adanya bahan sisa sebagai buangan berupa sampah. Peningkatan kualitas hidup dan tuntutan dalam pembangunan, terlebih Bali sebagai destinasi wisata tingkat dunia akan berkontribusi terhadap sampah yang dihasilkan terus meningkat yang yang dibuang pada tempat pemrosesan sementara (TPS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Pemanfaatan Mikroorganisme dan Larva Black Solder Fly (BSF) dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Organik Berbasis Sumber untuk Menuju Bali Bersih Sampah. Sosilisasi dan bantuan sarana dan prasarana serta penyediaan lahan di tingkat Desa/Kelurahan perlu dilakukan pemerintah. Sampah organik yang paling dominan dihasilkan di tingkat rumah tangga bisa dikelola dengan alih teknologi berupa pemanfaatan mikroorganisme dan Larva Black Solder Fly sebagai biodekomposer dan biokonversi material sampah organik menjadi nutrien baru yang memberikan lemanfaatan bagi pengurangan tumpukan sampah dan kesehatan dengan menjadikan sebagai pupuk organik berbasis mikroorganisme. Budidaya larva black soldier fly dari serangga maggot memiliki potensi dikembangkan untuk memakan sampah organik dengan prospek menggembirakan mengingat sumber pakan berupa sampah organik tersedia sangat melimpah dan mudah merawatnya. Larva black soldier fly menghasilkan pupuk kasgot (bekas maggot) yang sangat subur serta memiliki kandungan protein cukup tinggi dapat diolah menjadi pakan ternak unggas dan pelet untuk pakan ikan yang bisa menjadi nilai ekonomi untuk menambah penghasilan.

Abstract

Produksi sampah dihasilkan dari aktivitas masyarakat dari tingkat rumah tanggamengalami peningkatan, sehingga menjadi basis pengelolaan sampah dari tingkat bawah,mulai dari pemilahan sampah organik dan anorganik. Penanganan sampah masih bersifatkonvensional, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan sampah dari rumah tangga kemudian dibuangke tempat pemrosesan sementara (TPS) atau tempat pengelolaan sampah terpadu (TPST),sehingga penumpukan sampah sebelum diangkut ke tempat pemrosesan akhir (TPA).Penumpukan sampah dapat menyebabkan bau busuk, kotor, sumber penyakit danmenimbulkan menimbulkan dampak negatif dalam kehidupan. Tujuan dari penelitian iniyaitu mengelola sampah secara mandiri melalui inovasi alih teknologi pengelolaan sampahberbasis sumber menjadi lebih bermanfaat dan berkurangnya pengiriman sampah ketempat pemrosesan sementara (TPS). Salah satu inovasi teknologi yang dikembangkanberupa pengelolaan sampah organik dengan memanfaatkan larva black soldier fly dariserangga maggot. Budidaya maggot sangat berpotensi dikembangkan dengan prospekmenggembirakan mengingat sumber pakan berupa sampah organik tersedia sangatmelimpah dan mudah merawatnya. Imago akan bertelur dan menetas meghasilkan larvayang memiliki kemampuan mendegradasi sampah organik dari kulit buah berdaging untuk dikonversi menjadi pupuk organik berupa kasgot. Larva black soldier fly memiliki kandungan protein cukup tinggi dapat diolah menjadi pakan ternak unggas dan pelet untukpakan ikan yang bisa menjadi nilai ekonomi menambah penghasilan.
