Abstract

This article is about the Qur’an and feminism. In Islam, feminism is a movement that demands equal rights for men and women and seeks to eliminate gender roles and discrimination in society. The study uses qualitative methodology that uses descriptive-analysis techniques. The study focused on the verses of the Qur’an related to feminism and gender, and the results and discussions reached conclusions about feminism and sex from the perspective of the reinterpretation of those verses.

Abstract

Diskursus kebebasan dan kemajemukan beragama di Indonesia telah lama disorot oleh para elemen negara dan para cendekiawan Tanah Air. Pada akhirnya jalan keluar satu-satunya yang ditemukan hingga saat ini adalah dengan menerapkan konsep moderasi dalam beragama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan akan esensi moderasi beragama ditinjau dari sudut pandang Islam, dan menjadi bahan referensi juga kajian yang patut dibaca kemudian ditelaah tentang masalah klasik yang menjadi sorotan tentang umat dan pegangannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode maudu’i (tematik) yang sepenuhnya merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber referensi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumen cetak dan digital, baik berupa kitab, buku, jurnal, essay, dan referensi lain yang relavan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam sudut pandang Islam, moderasi dalam beragama berarti mendahulukan sikap toleran dalam perbedaan, keterbukaan dalam menerima keberagaman (inklusivisme), baik beragam dalam aliran atau madzhab ataupun beragam dalam beragama. Di Indonesia, eksistensi pemikiran moderat dalam beragama telah ada sejak lama. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan mengidentifikasi beberapa hal, yaitu, pertama, kesejahteraan masuknya Islam ke bumi Nusantara; kedua, selama sepanjang sejarah para ulama terkenal telah memberikan respon pada dinamika laju pemikiran yang terus berkembang hingga saat ini; ketiga, para tokoh Islam kian menghadapi konstruk sosial yang semakin dinamis yang mengharuskan mereka agar lebih berupaya membangun masyarakat dengan merespon berbagai modernitas yang selalu berkembang.

Abstract

Trend fashion clothing is currently experiencing significant developments, especially in the field of women's hijab. This development certainly inspires women to wear the hijab, but the use of the hijab is not only limited to covering the genitals but also following the elements of fashion in it. This research aims to introduce us to the development of the hijab itself as well as current issues surrounding the hijab and how the Qur'an reacts to it. This research uses the maudu'i (thematic) method which is entirely a qualitative research. The results and discussion cover the current hijab phenomena, knowing what veils, headscarves and burqas are, knowing the history of hijab in pre-Islamic and post-Islamic times, and knowing the problems faced regarding hijab at this time. The benefits of research are to add insight regarding the problems faced with hijab and how the Qur'an reacts to them and also become an additional reference for future researchers who research hijab.

Abstract

This study examines Islam and Globalisation which is one of the discussions on contemporary issues in the perspective of the Qur'an. By using the maudhu'i method of interpretation, namely by presenting the verse, verse translation, asbabun nuzul, munasabah and its interpretations. It starts by selecting word equivalents related to the word globalisation in the Qur'an, then quoted and examined with the maudhu'i interpretation method. This research presents the issue of how Islam relates to an era that we call the era of Globalisation. It is an era that encourages us to keep up with the flow with various even technology. Globalisation builds a vision of creating a modernist life, which provides convenience to humans in the continuity of human life. In this era, humans seem to have no barrier to do any activity. However, this paper will not explore all of the above issues, this paper will focus more on the issue of Islam and globalisation.

Abstract

This study examines Islam and religious moderation which is one of the contemporary issues in the perspective of the Qur'an. With the muadhu'i interpretation method, namely by presenting the verse, its translation, Asbabun nuzul, munasabah, and interpretation. Starting with choosing the equivalent of words that have to do with the word moderation in the Qur'an then quoted and elaborated with the method of tafsir maudhu'i. This study concludes that in Islamic thought and the perspective of the Qur'an, moderation encourages tolerance of differences. willingness to embrace diversity (inclusivism). Diversity in madhhabs and also religious diversity. Our differences do not prevent us from working together under the basic idea of humanity. Thinking that Islam is the true religion does not require us to harass followers of other religions, so that there is religious harmony and unity. Nowadays, moderation generally refers to the balance between creed, behavior, relationships between people, and morals, showing that Islam is a moderate religion that does not have extreme beliefs, arrogance, gentleness, and other traits. To show religious moderation can be shown by cultivating the values contained in various moserasi in daily life such as taking the middle path (tawassuth), balance (Tawazun), Tolerance, deliberation, reform, dynamic and innovative and civilized.

Abstract

Secularism is seen as a teaching that does not have a strong foundation in Islam, both in concept and in action. In the next stage, secularism grew more complex to the point that it became a debate among Muslims. Therefore, insights about secularism, both its background and its essence, should be understood, especially by Muslims. This study uses a qualitative method with more emphasis on descriptive writing and interpreting the verses using the Maudu'i method. The word secularism was first mentioned by George Jacob Holyoake. In its historical development, secularism manifested itself regarding the need to break worldly life to solve religious problems. In the Qur'an, there are verses on secularism, some of which are Q.S. al-Baqarah: 85–86, Q.S. Hud: 15–16, and Q.S. al-Isra: 18.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of state institutions using the maudhu'i interpretation approach. This research uses a qualitative method of literature study. State institutions are bodies (organizations) whose purpose is to carry out a scientific investigation or carry out a business. In the Qur'an there are several state terms, namely balad, bilad, baldatun, qoryah, and ad-dar. State institutions can help achieve state goals if their principles and criteria are in accordance with good and correct regulations.

Abstract

This paper discusses Islam dan globalization. This study uses a descriptive methodology and maudhu’i interpretation. A qualitative research methodology that relies on secondary data sources, namely works of literature related to research topics taken from books, journal articles, and other sources. The historical facts of globalization have had a major impact on every individual in living life. A wise response must be made in the face globalization. Islam is a religion with a universal and global order has contributed to solving the issue of globalization. That universality of Islam proves that Islam has a huge impact on how the world will be. Islamic universalism can be observed in various ways such as cosmopolitan cultural teachings, scientific progress, holistic social structures, and plenary ideals. Islam has the ability to overcome problems in the fields of technology, economics, education, and other problems. Islamic teachings instruct Muslims to avoid falling into imitation or rejection in the negative context of globalization. In line with adherence to Islamic values, as well as tolerance and understanding of reality, Islam teaches how to be objective.

Abstract

The maudu’i method of interpretation, which involves the presentation of the verse, its translation, asbabun nuzul, munasabah, and exegesis, is used in this study to investigate Islam and liberalism, one of the contemporaray issues, from a Qur’anic perspective. Starting with the Qur’anic term closest to the word “liberalism”, the maudu’I tafsir approach is used to quote and explain. The study comes to the conclusion that liberalism is freedom of thught from the perspevtive of Islam dand the Qur’an. The Arabic word for liberalism is muhararran which means pure. Thus the Islamic reform movement, characterized by the introduction of Western subject with Wstern themes, is where the issues of liberalism in Islam first emerged. Moreover, Islamic liberalism aims to combine western-style higher education with Islamic beliefs.

Abstract

Surat Ar-Ra'd ayat 11 menegaskan bahwa perubahan dalam masyarakat tidak akan terjadi tanpa adanya upaya dari individu-individu di dalamnya. Allah menekankan bahwa Dia tidak akan merubah nasib suatu kaum kecuali jika mereka melakukan perubahan dalam diri mereka sendiri. Ayat tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa jika Allah menghendaki keburukan terhadap suatu kaum, tidak ada yang dapat menghalangi atau melindungi mereka dari keputusan-Nya. Ayat ini menggambarkan bagaimana fenomena globalisasi mempengaruhi budaya, agama, dan pendidikan secara luas. Globalisasi membawa perubahan besar dalam cara masyarakat berinteraksi, berkomunikasi, dan berdagang. Namun, Islam mengajarkan bahwa dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi, umat harus mempertahankan pemahaman yang bijak dan moderat. Islam mengajarkan nilai-nilai universal seperti keadilan, kasih sayang, dan persaudaraan, tetapi juga menghargai keragaman budaya dan keberagaman manusia. Oleh karena itu, umat Islam perlu mengambil pendekatan yang arif dan bijak dalam menghadapi globalisasi, mempertahankan nilai-nilai Islam yang kokoh sambil tetap terbuka terhadap perkembangan global. Maka pentingnya peran individu dalam mengubah nasibnya sendiri, serta kebijaksanaan dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi agar nilai-nilai Islam tetap dijunjung tinggi dalam era yang semakin terhubung dan terbuka ini.
