Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of laboratory work guidance for making pineapple cenil on the sub material of the plants role in economy and students? responses tolaboratory work guidance. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R & D) method, consisting of six stages out of ten stages, namely potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision and limited product trial. To know the feasibility of laboratory work guidance was evaluated by five validators consisting of two Biology education lecturers and three biology teachers from senior high school. Based on validation result of laboratory work guidance, there was 0,99 of CVI value in showed a valid criteria, in accordance to minimum value of Lawshe. There feasibility of all so followed by very high response (81,94%) by students? to laboratory work guidance for making pineapple cenil, so that laboratory work guidance suitable to be used as teaching materials on sub material of the plants role in economy.  Keyword: Feasibility, Laboratory Work Guidance, Pineapple Cenil, R&D Method, and Responses.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the feasibility of science comics as media of learning in food nutrition submaterial. The form of research used is descriptive. The stages of making science comics is a) determining the title and idea of the story, b) determining the character of the characters and storyline, c) making storyboards, d) drawing in the form of sketches, e) image thickening, f) scanning, layout, and editing, then g) making a synopsis of the story. The instrument used in this study was validation sheet. The feasibility of science comics was measured thought test validity by 6 validators, consist of 3 media expert validators and 3 material expert validators. Validity test of media experts used 3 aspects of format, content, and language. Validity test of material experts used 6 aspects of integration, emphasis, balance, form, design and color, images and writing. The results of validation analysis of science comic on sub material food nutrition is considered feasible to be used as a media of learning with the average validation of material experts is 3,12 and validation of media experts  is 3,65.Keywords: Science Comics, Media, Sub Material Food Nutrition

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to identify the effect of cooperative learning type of kartu arisan toward students learning outcomes. The research focused on the material about cell for eleventh grade science major. The research applied quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. Sample in this research was taken through intact group technique, where eleventh grade of science 1 as the experimental class and eleventh grade of science 2 as the control class. The instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 questions. The average value of students outcomes at the experimental class was 19.97. Meanwhile, the average for control class was 18.38. Using U Mann-Whitney test, the research obtained -Zcount < -Ztable there was -1.98 < -1.96. This value means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between students who use cooperative learning type of arisan card and those who study conventionally. The value of effect size obtained in this research was 0.45 which could be classified medium. It shows us that cooperative learning of type arisan card has an effect as much as 17.36% towards students outcomes, especially in the material of cell eleventh grade science student. Keywords: Cooperative Learning type of kartu arisan, learning outcomes, cell

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to identifying the effect of cooperative learning model with Flipbook to the student learning outcomes to tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Bengkayang on bacterial subject. This research form was quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used a saturated sample, with X IPA 2 as the experimental class and X IPA 1 as the control class. The instrument was a multiple choice test of 20 questions. The average outcome of the experimental class was 14.26 and the control class was 11.94 . Based on U Mann-Whitney test results, obtain Zcount < -Ztabel (-2.94 < -1.96), that’s mean there was a significant differences between the learning outcome using cooperative learning models with flipbook and conventional models. The value of effect size obtained in this research was 0.61 which could be  medium category. It shows us that cooperative learning model with Flipbook has an effect as much as  22.91% towards students outcomes, especially in the material of bacterial tenth grade students. Keyword : Cooperative, Flipbook, Learning outcome

Abstract

 Abstract This research aims to understand process science skill of students who had by using the method outdoor learning on the material biodiversity in the class ten grade science student of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The research applied quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. Sample in this research was taken through intact group technique, where ten grade science three as the experimental class and ten grade science one as the control class. The instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 questions. The average value skill the process science of students at the experimental class was 16.07. Meanwhile, the average for control class was 13.67. Using U Mann-Whitney test, the research obtained -Zcount < -Ztable which was -4.29 < -1.96. This value means that there is a significant difference of skill the process science of students between students who use method outdoor learning and those who study conventionally.Keywords: Process Science skill of Students, Biodiversity, Outdoor Learning

Abstract

Abstract The laboratory experiment of making  ginger (Zingiber officinale var. officinale) donut on sub chapter of Plant Role in Economy of Class X SMA / MA aimed to know students responses of laboratory work which was a new learning method on Sub Chapter of Plant Role in Economy Class X SMA / MA. This  laboraatory experiment was a new breakthrough in the optimization of abundant local plants namely Ginger elephant (Zingiber officinale var officinale). This research used descriptive method and the subject was students class X MIPA 1 of MAN 1 Pontianak. Student responses was viewed used a response questionnaire given after the students carry out the experiment. The average percentage of students responses was 90% very high category, so that this laboratory experiment  method was suggested implemented as a method of learning on Sub Chapter Role of Plant in Economy.Keywords: laboratory experiment, ginger, ginger donut, responses.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of leaflet for making pineapple jelly candy in the sub-material role of plants in the economy and students' response to leaflet for making pineapple jelly candy.This research uses Research & Development method which sixout of ten stages namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and limited trial.Questionnaireswere validated by one biology  teachers andlecturers.The data were analyzed using Lawshe methode. Leaflet obtaineded  CVI value of 0,96 and categorized as valid there for it was feasible to be use as a learning media. In edition students responsed very high 84%to leaflet media.Keywords: feasibility,leaflets,pineapple jelly candy,research and development methode, and student response.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to find out the feasibility of a pocket book as a sub-media for learning the benefits of biodiversity in 10th grade. This research was arranged with descriptive method and quantitative approach. The feasibility of pocket book was tested by two lecturers of Biology Education Study Programme FKIP Untan and three senior high school biology teachers in Ngabang, Landak regency. The results of the ethnobotany research were then implemented in the form of biodiversity pocket book learning media. Based on the evaluation of validators from SMAN 1 Ngabang, Pelita Ngabang High School and MAN 1 Ngabang obtained an average value of total validation of 3.81. This research was attempted to prove that the pocket book was valid and suitable to be used as a learning media in the sub-material for biodiversity benefits in 10th grade. Keywords: Biodiversity, Media, Pocket Book, Ngabang

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to know feasibility of a tutorial video for laboratory work of making banana semprong on the sub material plant role in economy and students’ responses to tutorial video. This research was Research and Development (R & D) consisting of six stages out of ten stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision and limited product trial. To find out the feasibility of the tutorial video, evaluation was carried out by six validators consisting of three media expert and three material experts. Aspects measured by media expert were visual communication, sound display (audio), software engineering and tutorial video characteristics while aspects measured by material experts were material substance,concept breadth, learning and linguistic aspects used. The validation was analyzed using Ratio Total Validation (RTV). Validation results showed the RTV value for material expert and media expert was 3.71 and 3.64, subsequently. Therefore both expert categorized tutorial video feasible to be used as learning media. In addition, limited product  trial showed  students responses was very high (81,8%). Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of present study was to measure the feasibility of flipchart media on ferns sub-topic. The method used in this research was descriptive method with quantitative research technique. This flipchart media then was tested for feasibility by media experts. Flipchart media was validated by two lecturers of Biology Education of FKIP Untan and three biology teachers of class X three senior high schools in Mandor District. According to the validators, , the flipchart was valid with the average score of the Content Validity Index (CVI) 0.93 and feasible to use as a learning media for ferns sub-topic (Pteridophyta).Keywords: Feasibility, Flipchart, Ferns sub-topic
