Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan literasi dan numerasi di sekolah disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengenalan literasi dan numerasi dalam pembelajaran dan kesulitan mengembangkan soal literasi dan numerasi dalam proses evaluasi.  Mengatasi permasalahan mitra, tim melakukan PKM dalam bentuk service learning berupa pelatihan literasi dan numerasi kepada guru dan siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dan numerasi, mendukung penguatan sumber daya manusia Indonesia, serta mengenalkan pentingnya literasi dan numerasi di dalam pembelajaran sejalan dengan tugas dosen yang dilaksanakan FKIP UNTAN. Kegiatan PKM ini mencakup 2 tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pelatihan serta pendampingan penyusunan dan pembuatan soal literasi dan numerasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan, dan antusiasme peserta dalam menyusun soal berkualitas sesuai standar kurikulum dengan hasil evaluasi menunjukkan kepuasan, komitmen, fokus, relevansi kebutuhan, dan harapan besar peserta untuk terus mengembangkan kemampuan serta berbagi ilmu demi peningkatan literasi dan numerasi guru dan siswa

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students"™ learning motivation in their learning process by using biocard media on the topic of taxonomy at Junior High School 10 Pontianak. This is a   classroom action research for the seventh grade students in which 10 male students and 20 female students participated. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, the first and second cycle research instruments were questionnaires, each consisted of 20 statements. Based on the results of the first cycle research, students' learning motivation which included in the low category was 6.67%, while the high category was 73.33% and 20% was very high. In cycle 2 there is an increase in students"™ learning motivation that there are no students (0%) who are categorized as low, 10% are in the high category and 90% are categorized very high. It can be concluded that by using biocard media, it can increase students' learning motivation in the taxonomy material.

Abstract

How is Technology Positioned in the Implementation of SSI-Based Learning? Objectives: Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI)-based learning is an educational approach that combines scientific content with ethical, social, and real-world issues. This learning model is significantly influenced by technology, which enhances student engagement, facilitates access to a variety of information sources, and offers interactive and immersive experiences. This research endeavors to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the position of technology in SSI-based learning, with a particular emphasis on its functions, forms of application, and effects. Methods: The PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) method was employed to conduct the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Keywords associated with "Social-Scientific Issues" and "technology in education" were implemented during a literature search of Scopus-indexed journals from 2016 to 2025. The initial search identified 399 articles, which were subsequently filtered through the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion processes, culminating in 39 eligible articles. Articles published in English, indexed in Scopus, and specifically addressing the intersection of SSI and technology are included in the inclusion criteria. In order to investigate patterns, keyword trends, and thematic clusters, articles were subjected to bibliometric analysis using RStudio–Biblioshiny and VOS viewer. Findings: These findings categorize the role of technology in two main ways: (1) Direct implementation in SSI-based teaching, such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), web-based platforms, and educational games; and (2) Integration of technology in broader pedagogical approaches, including STEM, STEAM, STS, and Computational Thinking (CT). Conclusion: Technology serves variety functions: it acts as a source of information, a collaborative tool, a platform for virtual experimentation, and a medium for communicating ideas. This review highlights the growing significance of technology in shaping effective, critical, and contextually rich SSI-based learning in the digital age. Keywords: socio-scientific issues (ssi), technology, digital application, systematic literature review.

Abstract

Adanya keterbatasan keterampilan dan juga kurangnya informasi terkait aplikasi yang dapat digunakan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar, ditambah dengan keterbatasan waktu serta begitu banyaknya tugas guru di sekolah. Pelatihan dan pendampingan menjadi salah satu cara yang dibutuhkan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) menggunakan live worksheets. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun dan membahas pengembangan LKPD berbasis live worksheet. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke yang dihadiri oleh 22 guru sekolah menengah yang ada di Kecamatan Menyuke, Kabupaten Landak. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Service Learning (SL) yang melibatkan empat proses, yaitu Focus Group Discussion, pelatihan, workshop, dan pembimbingan atau pendampingan. Pengukuran peningkatan kompetensi dan pengetahuan dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu di awal untuk mengetahui kompetensi dan pengetahuan awal peserta serta dilakukan di akhir untuk mengetahui respons guru menggunakan angket evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis live worksheet yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan pengukuran awal dan akhir sebanyak 50%. Seluruh peserta (100%) mengalami peningkatan skor pengukuran dan memiliki masing-masing minimal satu LKPD yang telah siap diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berhasil dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan guru dalam merancang LKPD berbasis live worksheet.

Abstract

Creativity is one of the important points in the world of education, one of which is creativity in designing creative and innovative learning activities to anticipate or answer educational challenges in the 21st century. This service activity aims to find out the ability of biology education students in preparing innovative learning plans based on the independent curriculum. The method in this service is observation and analysis of problems and needs, determination of activity schedules, core activities/training with interactive lectures, workshops, presentation discussions, and reflections. The results of the service hone students' creativity in designing learning plans, where the resulting learning planning (100%) shows conformity with the principles of the Independent Curriculum, and 85% of them show strong innovation elements. Through practice-based training, workshops, and reflective discussions, students gain concrete experience in developing teaching modules that are contextual, differentiated, and oriented towards learning outcomes and authentic assessments. This activity also has strategic implications for the development of study programs and LPTK in preparing prospective teachers who are professional, adaptive, and responsive to the dynamics of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a pocket book on conventional biotechnology sub-material developed from the isolation, characterization, and phylogenetic relationships of lactic acid bacteria in mandai. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study utilizes three stages of the ADDIE model: Analysis, Design, and Development. During the analysis stage, needs were identified through interviews with biology teachers in grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Sampit, which revealed the absence of learning media based on local potential. The design stage produced a pocket book design based on the learning outcomes of the Merdeka Curriculum, incorporating conventional biotechnology content, research results on the isolation and characterization of bacteria, and the phylogenetic relationships of lactic acid bacteria. The development stage produced a 9 x 12 cm pocket book consisting of 34 pages, which was then validated by five validators. The validation results showed an average Content Validity Ratio (CVR) of 0.99, which is considered valid. Thus, the pocket book is deemed suitable for use as a learning medium for the sub-subject of Conventional Biotechnology based on local potential at the high school level. Abstract

Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) mencatat bahwa literasi sains peserta didik di Indonesia masih belum mencapai tingkat yang memadai. Padahal, literasi sains merupakan kemampuan penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh setiap individu dalam menghadapi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, serta arus informasi yang semakin kompleks. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejauh mana literasi sains peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya serta faktor-faktor yang turut mempengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 229 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas soal literasi sains berdasarkan indikator PISA dan angket faktor yang mempengaruhi, yang telah divalidasi oleh tujuh orang ahli. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya yaitu kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah sebesar 56,16%, merancang dan mengevaluasi penyelidikan ilmiah sebesar 56,68%, serta menafsirkan data dan bukti ilmiah sebesar 67,60%. Rata-rata keseluruhan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya memperoleh persentase 60% dengan kategori cukup. Faktor internal dari peserta didik mencapai 71,77%, sedangkan faktor eksternal meliputi peran guru 73,43% dan dukungan sekolah 79,26%. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, diperlukan upaya berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik agar mencapai kategori yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Information regarding the evaluation of reasoning skills related to online socio-scientific issues is still limited due to limited instruments. This research aims to determine the validity and reliability of an online socio-scientific issue-based critical reasoning instrument. Content validity was proven by the assessment method by five experts. Confirmatory factor analysis was carried out with the Lisrel 8.8 program to prove construct validity. Instrument testing was carried out on 145 grade 10 high school students. Convergent validity was determined through the Average Variance Extracted (AVE) calculation, and reliability was determined through Construct Reliability (CR). There are 12 items from four dimensions of critical reasoning based on online socio-scientific issues: (1) evaluating SSI information, (2) identifying SSI complexity, (3) checking the credibility of information sources, and (4) multiperspective. The results of the content validity test obtained the Aiken coefficient value in the valid category. Based on the analysis results, the GFI, RMSEA, and p-value of the instrument fit the model and have loading factors that meet the minimum criteria. In addition, the instrument meets convergent validity and internal consistency. Thus, it is concluded that the instrument is declared valid and reliable and can be used to measure critical reasoning based on online socio-scientific issues.

Abstract

This study investigates the potential synergy between metaphorical thinking profiles and Higher-Order Thinking skills (HOTs) optimization in contemporary education. The research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing literature review and content analysis to construct a comprehensive epistemological framework. The study's primary objective is to elucidate the relationship between symbolic thinking processes and the development of HOTs, specifically focusing on the dimensions of analysis, evaluation, and creation. The resultant conceptual framework demonstrates a strong correspondence between the stages of metaphorical thinking (including target concept identification, source domain exploration, structural mapping, elaboration, extension, evaluation, adjustment, and integration) and the core components of HOTs. These findings suggest that integrating symbolic thinking processes into educational strategies could significantly enhance HOTs development, potentially revolutionizing pedagogical approaches for the 21st century. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on cognitive skill development and offers practical implications for educators seeking innovative methods to prepare learners for the complexities of the global era.
