Abstract

Prevalensi status gizi underweight  pada remaja putri  berusia 16-18 tahun di Provinsi Bengkulu tercatat sebesar 4,8%, padahal di usia ini terjadi pertumbuhan cepat kedua setelah bayi. Dampak kekurangan berat badan adalah gangguan perkembangan otak, konsentrasi, dan mudah lelah hingga aktivitas fisik berkurang. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan berat badan melalui pemberian makanan tambahan seperti kukis. Kukis adalah sejenis kue manis yang terbuat dari tepung terigu. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kenaikan berat badan remaja underweight dengan pemberian kukis ikan gaguk. Studi ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan memberikan kukis sebanyak 80gr/hari dan 80gr/3 kali seminggu selama 14 hari. Sebanyak 61 orang remaja underweight mendapatkan intervensi berupa kukis ikan gaguk. Rata-rata kepatuhan mengonsumsi kukis ikan gaguk pada kedua kelompok perlakuan masing-masing sebesar 92,2% dan 93,4%. Kenaikan rata-rata berat badan remaja setelah mendapatkan kukis ikan gaguk selama 14 hari pada kedua kelompok perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (p-value 0,001). Kata kunci: Kukis Ikan Gaguk, Penambahan Berat Badan, Remaja, Underweight   The prevalence of underweight among adolescent girls aged 16-18 years in Bengkulu province was recorded at 4.8%, despite this being a critical period marked by the second most rapid growth after infancy. Being overweight adversely affects brain development, concentration, and energy levels, decreasing physical activity. One strategy to improve body weight involves supplementing additional food, such as cookies. Cookies are a sweet cake made from wheat flour. The research aimed to determine the weight gain of underweight adolescents by giving them fish gaguk cookies. Employing a quasi-experimental design, participants received 80 g of fish gaguk cookies daily and 80 g of fish gaguk cookies three times a week for 14 days. Sixty-one underweight teenagers underwent intervention with fish gaguk cookies, with average compliance of 92.2% and 93.4% in the two treatment groups, respectively. The increase in average body weight after consuming fish gaguk cookies for 14 days in both treatment groups was statistically significant (p-value 0.001). Abstract

Underweight masa balita dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup anak. Banyak faktor yang berkontribusi munculnya underweight, antara lain pola konsumsi harian yang berdampak memperlambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pola konsumsi dengan kejadian underweight pada balita usia 24-59 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Anggut Atas Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan case control pada 60 sampel (10 kasus dan 50 kontrol). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan ibu balita menggunakan formulir FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire) dan pengukuran berat badan balita. Pengambilan sampel kelompok kontrol menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil uji kai kuadrat memperlihatkan ada hubungan pola konsumsi makan dengan kejadian underweight pada balita usia 24-59 bulan (nilai p= 0.001). Kesimpulan, anak yang memiliki pola konsumsi makan kurang (skor ≤ 500) ditemukan pada seluruh balita namun kelompok kasus lebih tinggi dibanding kontrol. Guna mencapai pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita secara optimal diawali dari ibu memperhatikan pola makan yang benar (3 kali sehari), jenis makanan yang beragam, dan porsi makan yang disediakan sehingga dapat mencegah underweight. Many factors contribute to the emergence of underweight, including daily consumption patterns that slow the growth and development of children. This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption patterns and underweight incidence in young people aged 24-59 months in the Puskesmas Anggut Working Region above Bengkulu City. The type of research is analytical observational with a case-control design on 60 samples (10 cases and 50 control). The data was collected using the FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire) form through interviews with babies and weight measurements of babies—sampling using accidental sampling techniques for control groups. The square test results showed a correlation between eating patterns and underweight incidence in young people aged 24-59 months (p-value = 0.001). Conclusions of children who had less eating patterns (if score ≤ 500) were found in the entire news, but the case group was higher than the control. The optimal growth and development of the baby starts with the mother paying attention to the proper diet (3 times a day), varied types of food, and served portions of meals to prevent underweight. Abstract

Background: Central obesity manifests as the accumulation of adipose tissue in abdominal (visceral). The assessment of this condition often employs abdominal circumference (AC) as a commonly utilized metric. The increasing prevalence of central obesity is linked to dietary habits encompassing simple carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, environment, behavior, and genetic factors. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between sugar, salt, and oil consumption patterns and central obesity in employees. Methods: This research was an observational study with a cross-sectional design on 35 employees. Data collection included sugar, salt, and oil consumption patterns collected using a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), and central obesity was obtained by measuring abdominal circumference using measuring tape, then statistical analysis using the Chi-square test. Results: Most respondents had unhealthy consumption patterns of sugar, salt, and oil that were 71.4%, 62.9%, and 82.9%, respectively. There was a significant relationship between consumption patterns of sugar (p=0.002), salt (p=0.033), oil (p=0.019) and the proportion of central obesity in employees at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Bengkulu Province. Conclusions: Twenty-two employees experienced central obesity, with the majority surpassing daily sugar, salt, and oil intake recommendations as a notable risk factor. To mitigate this, Bengkulu Province Regional Library and Archives Office staff are advised to limit the consumption of sugar, salt, and oil-rich items such as salted fish, canned sardines, dried shrimp, instant chili sauce, soy sauce, instant noodles, palm oil, and coconut milk in their meals.

Abstract

Keluhan yang paling sering muncul pada trimester akhir kehamilan adalah rasa cemas, nyeri pinggang bawah, dan sulit tidur sehingga mengganggu rutinitas sehari-hari. Metode nonfarmakologi berupa pijat aromaterapi dan latihan goyang panggul merupakan metode yang membantu mengurangi rasa cemas, nyeri pinggang bawah dan mengatasi sulit tidur pada ibu hamil trimester ketiga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest and posttest controlled group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling, sebanyak 32 ibu hamil pada kelompok pijat aromaterapi dan 32 ibu hamil pada kelompok latihan goyang panggul, sehingga total sampel sebanyak 64 ibu hamil. Uji analisis menggunakan uji Mc Nemar dan uji Wilcoxon. Kriteria inklusi meliputi ibu hamil trimester ketiga dengan usia kehamilan ≥ 35 minggu, berusia antara 20-35 tahun. Sedangkan kriteria eksklusi adalah ibu hamil trimester III yang memiliki penyakit penyerta seperti radang sistemik, skiatika, kelainan ginekologi, kardiovaskular, tumor, osteoporosis, atau pernah mengalami patah tulang belakang. Terdapat pengaruh pijat aromaterapi dan latihan goyang panggul terhadap kecemasan, nyeri pinggang bawah dan kualitas tidur pada ibu hamil trimester III. Pijat aromaterapi lebih efektif dibandingkan latihan goyang panggul dalam menurunkan kecemasan dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur, dengan nilai p masing-masing sebesar 0,042 dan 0,013. Keduanya sama-sama efektif dalam menurunkan nyeri pinggang bawah (nilai p= 0,479), dan terbukti berpengaruh terhadap keluhan trimester III pada ibu hamil.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara tropis, tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan masyarakat termasuk mahasiswa mengalami defisiensi vitamin D. Penyebab kekurangan vitamin D antara lain menghindari paparan sinar matahari, rendahnya konsumsi makanan yang mengandung vitamin D, yang di dukung oleh kurangnya pengetahuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan vitamin D dan paparan sinar matahari pada mahasiswa program studi diploma tiga Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dlakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni tahun 2025 dengan 160 mahasiswa Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu. Data tingkat pengetahuan vitamin D dan paparan sinar matahari dikumpulkan dengan menjawab 15 soal pertanyaan dimana skor ≤ 55% pengetahuan kurang, 56 – 75 % pengetahuan cukup, dan ≥ 76 % pengetahuan baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 53 mahasiswa (35,3%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang tentang vitamin D dan 75 mahasiswa (50,0%) kurang memahami paparan sinar matahari. Sebagian besar mahasiswa Jurusan Gizi masih memiliki pengetahuan yang rendah terkait vitamin D dan paparan sinar matahari, sehingga diperlukan edukasi lebih intensif untuk meningkatakan kesehatan akan pentingnya vitamin D bagi kesehatan. Rata-rata mahasiswa kurang mengetahui tentang manfaat vitamin D untuk tubuh dan penggunaan tabir surya yang cukup bagi tubuh.

Abstract

Asupan gizi yang cukup sangat krusial pada dua tahun pertama kehidupan anak untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal. Kekurangan gizi pada periode ini dapat menimbulkan dampak jangka panjang seperti gangguan mental, motorik, bahkan kematian. Beberapa faktor lain yang menjadi penyebab yaitu pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) yang tidak adekuat dan penyapihan yang terlalu cepat. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian MPASI dan status gizi pada baduta di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sawah Lebar Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki baduta usia 6-23 bulan di Puskesmas Sawah Lebar Kota Bengkulu, dengan sampel sebanyak 48 ibu yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar ibu baduta memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang pemberian MPASI (47,9%). Sebagian kecil baduta menunjukkan status kurang berdasarkan indikator Berat Badan menurut Umur (BB/U) (4.2%), Panjang Badan menurut Umur (PB/U) (4.2%), Berat Badan menurut Panjang Badan (BB/PB) (6,3%), dan Indeks Massa Tubuh menurut Umur (IMT/U) (6,3%). Meskipun demikian, mayoritas baduta masih berada dalam kategori status gizi baik. Disimpulkanmayoritas ibu baduta di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sawah Lebar Kota Bengkulu memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang MPASI, dan sebagian kecil baduta memiliki status gizi kurang.

Abstract

Background: Questionnaires are data collection tools that are used relevantly in a study. Questionnaire items can be used if they have been proven valid and reliable. An instrument if r count ≥ r table then the statement item can be said to be valid, reliable if the Cronbach's alpha result is > 0.70. . The prevalence of anemia in women in Indonesia is 23.9%, while the prevalence of anemia in women aged 5-14 years is 26.4% and 15-24 years is 18.4%. . Compliance is generally influenced by individual perceptions regarding drug use and health status.Objective: To assess whether the iron supplement consumption compliance questionnaire for adolescent girls based on the HBM theory is valid and reliable, so that it can be used as a basis for health programs and policies to prevent anemia in adolescents.Methods: A cross-sectional analytical observational technique was used with 40 respondents from SMPN 4 Bengkulu City. This study used 40 respondents because this number was sufficient for the questionnaire trial and was appropriate for the time and conditions. However, this number is still limited; therefore, the results cannot be representative of all junior high school girls in general. The six HBM domain statements of the questionnaire include vulnerability (8 items), severity (3), benefits (7), barriers (6), self-confidence (6), and cues to action (7). The survey was completed directly by respondents using a Likert scale.Results: The study found that all 37 questionnaire items were valid and reliable. This valid and reliable questionnaire can form the basis for more targeted adolescent health interventions to improve adherence to iron supplement consumption in the field.Conclusion: All questionnaire items refer to the HBM theoretical approach and can be used as a valid and reliable measuring tool to assess compliance with iron supplement consumption among adolescent groups, which can be used to educate adolescents with low compliance in iron supplement consumption.

Abstract

Background: Food delivery applications are increasingly popular among students, providing convenience in ordering food that is often high in energy, potentially affecting Body Mass Index (BMI).Objective: To explore the relationship between the frequency of using food delivery applications and BMI among students at Nutrition Deparment Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu.Method: This observational analytic study employed a cross-sectional design, involving 64 students from the Nutrition Department aged 18-24 who had food delivery applications. Data were collected in May 2024 through interviews regarding the frequency of app usage and direct anthropometric measurements for BMIResults: Among the 64 students, 24 used the application 1-3 times a week, with 15 exhibiting abnormal nutritional status. Additionally, 12 students used the app more than 3 times a week, of which 8 (66.7%) had abnormal nutritional status. A significant relationship was found between the frequency of app usage and BMI (p=0.001; OR 3.492)Conclusion: The frequency of using food delivery applications is linked to nutritional issues, particularly BMI. Students with low BMI are encouraged to improve their nutritional intake, while those with high BMI should manage their diet and increase physical activity.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic and sustained elevations in blood glucose levels. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is the most common type and is often accompanied by complications such as hypertension, anemia, and urinary tract infections. This study aims to assess the results of implementing a standardized nutritional care process in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with complications of hypertension, anemia, and urinary tract infections. This study used an observational design with a case study approach in an inpatient (Tn H, 56 years) at Harapan Doa Hospital in Bengkulu City for three days of observation. The nutritional care process included assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring and evaluation. Data collected included dietary intake, anthropometry, biochemistry, and the patient's clinical physical condition. The results showed a gradual increase in energy and protein intake during the intervention, as well as a decrease in random blood sugar levels from 363 mg/dL to 157 mg/dL. In addition, there was an improvement in clinical condition, characterized by stabilization of vital signs and a decrease in blood pressure to near normal. Thus, the implementation of standardized nutritional care through a diabetes mellitus diet and the DASH dietary approach is effective in helping improve the patient's metabolic and clinical conditions.
