Abstract

This research presents the preliminary design of an automatic vibration detection system that can be used as an earthquake early warning system using the Internet of Things and a smartphone display, and to investigate the relationship between vibration acceleration and vibration intensity and magnitude. Earthquake early warning is an important tool to reduce the danger of earthquakes and is a form of earthquake mitigation. This system is designed using MPU6050, ESP8266, Arduino IDE, Buzzer, LCD, and Smartphone sensors. The relationship between variations in vibration intensity and magnitude with vibration acceleration is directly proportional. This system has 96% accuracy and the accuracy of vibration acceleration read on the system is 92%. This system can be a simple earthquake early warning solution in earthquake-prone areas to minimize the risk of earthquake natural disasters and can be used as a basis for developing earthquake disaster mitigation systems.

Abstract

The integration of electroanalytical sensors with artificial intelligence (AI) technology is increasingly becoming a major focus in the development of real-time and accurate industrial pollution monitoring systems. This study uses a bibliometric approach to analyze publication trends, journal sources, authors, and research topics related to voltammetry, impedimetry, and AI sensors in the context of industrial environmental quality monitoring during the period 1998–2024. The analysis results reveal a significant increase in the number of publications and citations since 2019, with the journals Sensors and Biosensors as the main publication channels. Prominent authors and emerging topics such as the use of artificial neural networks mark rapid progress in this field. However, there is still a need for the development of multifunctional sensors, IoT system integration, and more adaptive AI algorithms. This study emphasizes the urgency of further research with a multidisciplinary approach to support sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly industrial pollution monitoring.

Abstract

Quality human resources are the main goal of a nation's ability to compete. The demands of the 21st century also require quality human resources. Therefore, learning resources are needed that support students' 4C skills. The purpose of this research is to develop learning resources in the form of science e-books that have been tested for validity and practicality. The type of research used is research and development, using the ADDIE development model. In the ADDIE development model, there are five stages, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity of the Science E-Book uses the Aiken's V scale, and the practicality of the Science E-Book uses the Likert scale. Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, the validity and practicality results were obtained as follows. The results of e-book validity tests by experts were obtained at 0.88. The results of the teacher's practicality were obtained at 89.25%, and the results of the students' practicality were obtained at 88%. So it can be concluded that the RADEC model-based science e-book (Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-Create) is valid and practical to use in science learning and to improve the 4C skills of junior high school students.
