Abstract

Muhammadiyah Junior High School 02 of Batu city has implemented the Strengthening of Character Education (SBE) through community service program in 2017. It is analyzed that the proram has obstacles in its implementation of classroom-based (SBE), it is proved by the inability of teachers to integrate character values into subjects to match the curriculum content. Thus, it is projected that to improve classroom-based SBE can be done by integrating literacy activities. The classroom-based SBE approach can be implemented through developing instructional method, classroom management, and integrating literacy activities into lesson plan of 2013 Curriculum. This community service program aims to improve SBE through literacy movement at MJHS 02 of Batu City. The method implemented was participation-based method through training and mentoring of SBE, also mentoring to plan and practice the SBE implementation through literacy movement. This program involves school teachers and principle of SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu, as many of 16 personnel. Data collection was gathered through observation and document which then analyzed descriptively. Results show that there is an improvement on teachers’ competence in developing lesson plan using classroom-based SBE concept through literacy movement, and an improvement also shown on teachers’ skill in implementing class instruction which is based on 2013 Curriculum that applies SBE through literacy movement. This improvement simultaneously contributes to students’ achievement expected in the 2013 Curriculum, namely character improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a study of the learning management of the Pasraman Sad Dharma Dwijendra Mataran at the Dharma Laksana Foundation.This research was conducted using qualitative methods with descriptive data analysis. Data collection techniques used in this study were non-participatory observation techniques, structured and unstructured interview techniques, and documentation. The data obtained is then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data using credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. Based on the results of the study, four findings were foud, namely 1). Lesson plans prepared by the teacher or Acarya include attendance, learning materials, learning models, strategies and methods, facilities and infrastructure, media, planning evaluation and paying attention to thr preparation of student or Brahmacari2). The organization of learning carried out by the teacher or Acarya includes organizing the learning schedule, organizing learning haours, organizing classes, organizing learning materials and resources, as well as organizing student or Brahmacari, 3). The implementation of learning carried out by the teacher or Acarya includes three stages, namely the preliminary activity stage, the core activity stage, the final learning activity stage; 4). The form of supervision or evaluation carried out by the teacher or Acarya is using practical methods, direct observation, and giving test orally and in writing to measure and know the skills and understanding of student or Brahmacari towards learning material.

Abstract

Assessment is essential to the curriculum to measure and assess competency levels. The implementation of the independent learning curriculum assessment is directed at sustainable assessments. A meaningful learning process requires a good, planned, and irrational assessment system. The research aims to describe the characteristics of the assessment in the implementation of the independent curriculum, including the knowledge of the school community, the process of planning, implementation, processing of assessment results, reporting on learning progress and obstacles along with school and teacher solutions in carrying out assessments in the independent curriculum. This research is qualitative descriptive. The study was conducted in June-December 2022 at SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu. The research population was all teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu. The research sample was all SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu teachers using a saturated sampling technique. The instruments used are interview guidelines, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results showed that the teacher understood the independent learning curriculum well. Schools began to apply learning and assessment principles, planning lessons and assessments, understanding learning outcomes, planning learning and assessments, implementing learning and assessments, and processing and reporting assessment results. Teachers generally carry out summative and formative assessments, while minimal diagnostic assessments are carried out. Regardless of the results of the research, future researchers can make efforts to assist teachers in overcoming obstacles to implementing assessments in the independent curriculum.

Abstract

The Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile utilized a Project-based Learning (PjBL) approach, distinguishing it from intracurricular PjBL programs. The implementation of this project in schools remains complex due to its novelty and the ongoing search for an effective model for planning, implementation, and evaluation. The objectives of this study were as follows: (1) to describe the implementation of the PjBL model in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile at a Muhammadiyah junior high school in Batu City, (2) to describe the development of the Pancasila Student Profile after the implementation of the PjBL model in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile, and (3) to outline the challenges faced by the school and their corresponding solutions in implementing the PjBL model in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. This research adopted a descriptive and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques encompassed in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The findings revealed that: (1) the implementation of the PjBL model in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile commenced with material mastery, followed by project execution, and concluded with a celebration, (2) the students demonstrated good character development in alignment with the Pancasila Student Profile, which consists of six competencies formulated as key dimensions, and (3) the encountered challenges in implementing the PjBL model in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile included difficulties in determining the appropriate time for implementing the P5 Project due to the teachers' busy schedules. In conclusion, the activities of the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile, utilizing the PjBL approach, have been successfully carried out and have led to the formation of the Pancasila student profile, although there have been implementation obstacles. The best practices observed at Muhammadiyah Middle School in Batu City can serve as an inspiration for other Muhammadiyah schools and private institutions. Widespread implementation of such practices poses a challenge for future researchers.

Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Batu sudah melaksanakan Kurikulum Merdeka secara mandiri dengan memilih opsi mandiri belajar yang didampingi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah belum semua guru matapelajaran dapat mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka dan belum semua guru matapelajaran terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru matapelajaran dalam mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka dan agar guru terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan mekanisme pelatihan dan pendampingan. Masalah diatasi dengan solusi berupa melalui FGD, dengan menerapkan kurikulum merdeka mandiri belajar dalam mengembangkan modul ajar tanpa membuat silabus dan alur tujuan pembelajaran (ATP) dan semua guru mempraktikkan modul ajar yang sudah dibuat. Kegiatan pengabdian dapat berlangsung sesuai target, ditunjukkan dengan hasil bahwa semua guru dapat mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum merdeka dan guru terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka berupa video pembelajaran. Assistance in the Development of the Independent Curriculum Teaching Module and Its Implementation at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu City Abstract SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu City has implemented the Independent Curriculum independently by choosing the independent study option accompanied by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The problem faced is that not all subject teachers can develop Independent Curriculum teaching modules and not all subject teachers are skilled in implementing learning based on the Independent Curriculum. This activity aims to assist subject teachers in developing Independent Curriculum teaching modules and so that teachers are skilled in implementing learning based on the Independent Curriculum. This activity is carried out with training and mentoring mechanisms. The problem was overcome with a solution in the form of FGD, by implementing an independent independent learning curriculum in developing teaching modules without creating a syllabus and learning objective flow (ATP) and all teachers practicing the teaching modules that had been created. Service activities can take place according to targets, shown by the results that all teachers can develop independent curriculum teaching modules and skilled teachers carry out learning based on the independent curriculum in the form of learning videos.

Abstract

One of the diseases caused by pathogenic microbial infections is pyothorax. Pyothorax, also known as thoracic empyema, accumulates purulent exudates in the pleural space. This study aims to understand the diagnosis and therapy of pyothorax in Domestic Short Hair (DSH) cats. A male DSH cat came with a harsh breath condition or acute dyspnea. The cat was breathing more rapidly, having to make more effort to breathe. The anamnesis showed that the patient had a cough history and repeated with a dyspnea condition. Some diagnoses were radiographic examination (x-ray) and laboratory tests such as complete blood cell, blood chemistry, cytology, and bacterial culture. Result of radiography examination and laboratory examination showed that increasing of white blood cells or leukocytosis in complete blood cell test, fluid loss (dehydration) in the blood chemistry test, radiography (x-ray) imaging saw the abnormalities in the lungs that was a white color (radio-opaque) and looked homogeneous. Thoracocentesis founded pleural effusions in the form of pus/pyo, cytology examination found polymorphonuclear cells (PMN) neutrophils and mononuclear cells (MN), and the result of pus bacterial culture was Acinobacter baumannii. The examination results in patients showed positive pyothorax with causal of Acinobacter baumanii. Antibiotic therapy sensitive to Acinobacter baumanii had been proven effective until the patient recovered. The antibiotics for therapy started with 10 mg/kg BW of Enrofloxacin, 20 mg/kg BW of Meropenem, and 20 mg/kg BW of Tigecycline. Tigecycline has proven to be effective until the cat recovers.

Abstract

Education is very important need for developing the quality of human resources. With quality education, it can improve the welfare and standard of living of an individual and also the surrounding community. A strategy is needed in an effort to improve the quality of education in the current era of modernization. Especially in Islamic education as a national education system that aspires to form a muslim with integrity, ethics and noble character. The research uses qualitative research methods through literature analysis, case studies, and related sources. By analyzing information about strategies and education according to the perspective of an Islamic education expert, amastuhu. So that information is produced about the strategy of Islamic education in the era of modernization in the form of descriptive narratives.

Abstract

Community service activities are carried out in providing simple knowledge and understanding of the concept of local wisdom in the implementation of religious activities.  The selection of the venue for the Ida Pedanda Nyoman Sebali Keniten Mangkuh Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The main thing that is socialized in this is to use the form of the meaning function of the ketupat, with the existence of the birth ketupat which is identical to the food of local wisdom, from various customs and customs or traditions. The annual tradition carried out by the majority of the population of Indonesia, namely the Eid al-Fitr tradition community, the Eid al-Fitr tradition is one of the traditions that usually occurs in the community, the Muslim community. This is a harmony that needs to be studied and revealed in order to have the right understanding. The result of this service is open insight in religious moderation, tolerance, and harmony in sitting together to make ketupat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kegiatan jual beli arisan uang dan tinjauan hukum islam dalam perspektif jual beli. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan menggunakan purposive sampling dengan teknik pengumpulan data pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang dilanjutkan dengan paparan data, analisis, dan pembahasan. Uji keabsahan data menggunkan trianggulasi data. Lokasi penelitian ini di desa Grujugan RT 01 Kecamatan Cermee Kabupaten Bondowoso. Arisan merupakan kegiatan mengumpulkan uang atau barang yang bernilai sama oleh beberapa orang kemudian diundi di antara mereka untuk menentukan siapa yang memperolehnya. Undian dilaksanakan dalam sebuah pertemuan secara rutin bulanan setelah kegiatan keagamaan pembacaan shalawat nariyah. Setiap anggota arisan pasti mendapatkan uang atau barang yang telah disepakati berdasarkan hasil undian tertinggi. Dalam arisan uang inilah terjadi transaksi jual beli arisan uang antar anggota yang merupakan ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Pada dasarnya al-Quran dan hadits sebagai pedoman muamalah umat islam membolehkan jual beli selama merujuk pada rukun dan syaratnya yang telah disyariatkan. Hasil Analisis menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, praktik jual beli arisan ini yang diperjual belikan bukanlah barang melainkan kesempatan yaitu peristiwa atau waktu memperoleh undian tertinggi. Kedua, transaksi jual beli ini tidak sesuai dengan rukun dan syarat jual beli dalam islam karena tidak adanya barang yang diperjual belikan.

Abstract

This article examines the contestation of religious moderation discourse in da'wah on the YouTube Channels of Buya Syakur and Buya Yahya. Both are clerics from moderate Islamic mass organizations who are known to actively promote religious moderation. This research is a qualitative research with a cyber ethnography approach and text analysis based on Stephen Toulmin's argumentative rhetoric model. Toulmin's argumentative rhetoric combines Claim (C), Data/Ground (D), Warrant (W), Backing (B), Qualifier (Q) and Exception/Rebutta (R). The results of the study indicate that there are different views on the moderation of the concept and discourse of religious moderation and its implementation in national and state life. Buya Syakur discusses moderation as a necessity to create unity and brotherhood amidst the reality of religious and cultural plurality. He recommends a reinterpretation of religious texts. Unlike Buya Syakur, Buya Yahya states that Muslims do not actually need a religious moderation movement, because Islam is a religion that has moderate characteristics since its inception. Buya Yahya actually appealed to Muslims to be aware of the discourse and movement which he feared could damage the peace of Muslims themselves. The difference in views between Buya Syakur and Buya Yahya occurred due to differences in understanding several concepts in the Quran. The difference in views between the two shows the existence of contestation in the preaching of religious moderation. Contestation is commonplace in the digital space. However, this contestation actually enriches the discourse on religious moderation in Indonesia.
