Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a crucial stage in children's cognitive, motoric, and social development. One innovative method in PAUD learning is the use of origami as a teaching tool. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of origami in teaching the concept of the Pillars of Faith to early childhood students. Conducted at Tadika Tahfiz Nur Furqan, Kedah, Malaysia, this research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include direct classroom observations, in-depth interviews with educators, and document analysis of lesson plans and student activities. The findings indicate that origami enhances children's comprehension of the Pillars of Faith by making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging. It also improves children's fine motor skills, focus, and enthusiasm for learning. The project-based and interactive approach fosters a more dynamic learning experience, leading to better retention and understanding. These results highlight the potential of origami as an effective pedagogical tool in early childhood Islamic education.

Abstract

In the era of digital disruption, digital literacy is not just about technical skills, but also about ethics and media responsibility. The Gen Z generation, which has grown up with technology, needs a strong foundation of values. This study aims to critically analyse the role of Ḥadīth as a source of values and ethics in shaping Gen Z's digital literacy awareness, so that the use of technology is not only smart, but also moral and responsible. The background of this study is the increasing use of social media and digital platforms that are often misused, such as the spread of hoax news, hatred, and other unethical behaviour. Ḥadīth as one of the authentic sources of Islamic teachings can be used as a guide in shaping critical, ethical, and responsible attitudes in the digital space. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach and content analysis. Data were collected from various Ḥadīth texts related to communication manners, social responsibility, and ethics in conveying information. The results showed that Ḥadīth has a significant role in building digital literacy in the Gen Z generation. Values such as honesty, responsibility in conveying information, and the obligation to verify the truth of information (tabayyun) are very relevant in overcoming the challenges of the digital era. By taking Ḥadīth as a guideline, the Gen Z can be wiser in using digital technology, so that they are able to utilise digital media productively and positively.

Abstract

Pembelajaran inklusif berupaya memberikan kesempatan yang setara bagi semua anak, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Namun, implementasinya menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang perlu diidentifikasi dan diatasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan serta strategi dalam menerapkan pembelajaran inklusif pada anak usia dini di Tadika Tunasku Sayang Al Fikh Orchard, Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan tenaga pendidik. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran inklusif di tingkat PAUD adalah keterbatasan sumber daya dan fasilitas, serta kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru dalam menangani anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang berfokus pada hambatan umum, penelitian ini menawarkan strategi konkret seperti penyediaan ruang sensorik, peningkatan jumlah tenaga pendidik, pelatihan bahasa isyarat, serta penggunaan media pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif. Selain itu, peningkatan kapasitas guru melalui program pelatihan berkelanjutan menjadi langkah kunci dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran inklusif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini tidak hanya relevan bagi Tadika Tunasku Sayang, tetapi juga dapat diterapkan di institusi pendidikan anak usia dini lainnya. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang kebijakan pendidikan inklusif yang lebih efektif, termasuk alokasi dana untuk pengembangan fasilitas dan program pelatihan guru. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat praktik pendidikan inklusif yang lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the quality of Tadika Al Fikh Orchard (Early Childhood Education) teachers in Islamic Religious Education learning. In the context of mental therapy, it should be done by integrating remembrance in every aspect of a person's life. This research involved the participation of Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Malysia teachers as research subjects. The results of this research show a significant increase in the personality quality of educators at Tadika Orchard Malaysia. Over time, these programs become an important part of students' lives, producing positive changes in the mental state of teachers that, in the long run, benefit individual students. The findings of this research provide practical implications in efforts to improve the quality of learning at Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Malaysia. Mental therapy efforts with remembrance for Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Malaysia teachers provide mental health for educators who in turn provide role models for Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Malaysia students. It is hoped that this research can become a basis for developing policies and programs that focus on improving teacher quality in terms of mental health.

Abstract

(Dikdasmen) PCM Medan Deli in enhancing the quality of Muhammadiyah education. It focuses on assessing the extent to which the Majelis Dikdasmen PCM Medan Deli has fulfilled its tasks and functions, which are vital for supporting Muhammadiyah’s educational goals. The research employs a qualitative approach, particularly using ethnographic methods to understand the practices and contributions of the Majelis. Data was collected through observation, interviews with the chairman of Majelis Dikdasmen PCM Medan Deli, and analysis of documents related to educational practices. The results show that the Majelis has made significant contributions in various areas: providing educational facilities, improving teacher quality, and implementing regular evaluations of educational processes. These actions have fostered a synergy between schools and the Majelis, which has contributed to the growth of Muhammadiyah schools in Medan Deli. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the Majelis and schools in fulfilling Muhammadiyah's vision to create a society based on Islamic values and principles.

Abstract

This study examines Azyumardi Azra’s thoughts on Islamic education in Indonesia. Azra emphasizes the necessity of reforming Islamic education to adapt to contemporary developments while shaping human character based on Islamic values. His proposed concept aims for Islamic education to evolve in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an and as-sunnah. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review of Azra’s works, including books, articles, and manuscripts sourced from libraries. The findings indicate that Islamic education in Indonesia requires reform to address modern challenges. This reform involves a textual understanding of Islamic teachings and the integration of religious knowledge with general sciences. The objective is to produce a Muslim generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, and capable of adapting to changing times. Azyumardi Azra’s thoughts serve as an important inspiration for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Creating a positive school culture is essential for fostering students' moral, social, and academic development. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers are seen as key agents in cultivating value-based environments within educational institutions. This study aims to analyse the role of PAI teachers in shaping a positive culture at SMPN 6 Torgamba by identifying the forms of positive culture developed, the teachers’ planning strategies, their functional roles, and the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. A qualitative method with a case study approach was applied, utilising participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and a documentation study. The findings reveal that five core aspects of positive culture have been developed at the school: religious culture, discipline culture, literacy culture, mutual cooperation culture, and tolerance culture. PAI teachers’ planning encompasses learning, religious programs, collaboration, and self-development. Their roles are embodied in six dimensions: as educators (mu’allim), role models (uswatun hasanah), mentors (mursyid), motivators, cultural facilitators, and evaluators. Key factors include school policy support, inter-teacher collaboration, active student engagement, parental and community involvement, and adequate facilities. Conversely, challenges include time constraints, diverse student backgrounds, negative technological influences, limited teacher competencies, and resistance to change. This study highlights the strategic role of PAI teachers in driving cultural transformation and recommends greater institutional support for character-based education in public schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for developing students’ religious character through routine religious programs at SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. The research is grounded in the urgency of religious character education amid challenges of moral degradation, popular culture, and the penetration of digital technology. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation of sources to ensure validity. The findings reveal that the strategies for religious character formation are carried out in a structured, continuous, and collaborative manner. These strategies include teacher role modeling as uswah hasanah, habituation of worship practices such as the one day one verse program, sholat dhuha, morning dzikir, and congregational prayers, active student participation in religious leadership, evaluation of Qur’an memorization through weekly and annual tahfiz assessments, as well as the reinforcement of a religious culture through Islamic holidays and social activities. The study concludes that these strategies effectively enhance students’ religiosity, strengthen the role of teachers as role models, and foster a distinctive religious school culture. This model can serve as an implementable reference for other Islamic schools in nurturing a generation with Islamic character and integrity

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Wordwall media in improving students’ understanding of Islamic Religious Education concepts, specifically on the topic of syu‘abul iman, in grade X at SMA IT Unggul Almunadi. The background of this research stems from the challenges of PAI learning, which is often considered monotonous, especially in teaching syu‘abul iman with its numerous and abstract branches. The research employed a qualitative case study method. The subjects were grade X students, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively using source triangulation. The findings reveal that Wordwall effectively enhances students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Students were able to understand and classify the branches of faith more easily, showed greater motivation and confidence, and actively participated in class activities. Supporting factors included teacher readiness, students’ digital literacy, and the relevance of media to the material, while barriers involved limited internet, devices, and time. Thus, Wordwall serves as an innovative alternative for creating interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful PAI learning.

Abstract

The determination of the ideal age of marriage remains a critical issue in Indonesia, where child marriage persists despite the enactment of Law No. 16 of 2019, which raised the minimum marriage age to nineteen. This article aims to formulate an integrative model that combines procedural safeguards under positive law with the substantive readiness criteria of rusyd in Islamic jurisprudence. The study employs a normative-juridical method with comparative analysis, drawing on primary sources (the Quran, classical fiqh, and statutory law) and secondary empirical data from BPS, UNICEF, and religious court decisions. The comparative framework is structured across three dimensions: (1) legal objectives (maqasid al-shariah and child protection norms), (2) substantive indicators of marital readiness (psychological, financial, and emotional maturity), and (3) procedural instruments (statutory age thresholds and judicial dispensations). The findings reveal that while positive law provides procedural certainty through age limits, its effectiveness is weakened by frequent dispensations that rarely assess readiness. Conversely, Islamic law emphasizes rusyd as a holistic benchmark but lacks enforceable procedural mechanisms. This study proposes a dual-layered model in which statutory age serves as a procedural safeguard, while readiness assessments operationalize rusyd as substantive criteria. The originality of this research lies in the proposal of a readiness assessment instrument for religious courts, designed to standardize judicial discretion in marriage dispensation cases. By integrating doctrinal analysis with socio-legal evidence, the study not only advances family law scholarship but also offers concrete policy implications. In practice, the readiness assessment can serve as a tool for judges to evaluate applicants’ intellectual, emotional, and socio-economic maturity, thereby reducing the incidence of early marriages approved through dispensations. This approach strengthens family resilience, aligns judicial practice with the objectives of maqasid al-shariah, and ensures that legal reforms are translated into measurable improvements in child protection and community well-being.
