Abstract

The Al-Ummahat Women Farmers Group is a group of productive women who produce various kinds of processed food products, but are still constrained by problems with product packaging. One of the superior products that need attention is coconut oil. The coconut oil produced by KWT has great potential to enter the modern market, but from a packaging point of view, it is still not feasible because it uses used plastic bottles and glass bottles. This service activity aims to provide traditional coconut oil packaging training to members of the KWT Al-Ummahat group, so as to create coconut oil that has selling value and attractiveness. The service method used is starting with a location survey to review the conditions and problems being faced by KWT. After getting the problem of community service activities, it is continued by providing socialization through presentations, demonstrations, packaging practices and evaluations. The output of this service activity is in the form of traditional coconut oil which has been packaged using polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. Coconut oil that has been put into packaged bottles is then labeled with complete information such as brand, composition, manufacturer's address and contact, as well as the product's shelf life. Products that have been packaged and labeled are then ready to be marketed both offline in the modern market and online with a wider target market. Through packaging training, members are able to make products more attractive with proper packaging and product information, so they are ready to be marketed.

Abstract

The MSME group in Setiling Village is in Central Lombok Regency. This group focuses on the processing and marketing of traditional herbal products, chayote chips, ant sugar and fern chips. So far, MSMEs in Setiling Village are still carrying out marketing activities in a conventional way targeting community buyers in the village. As a result, these marketing activities have not been optimal and have not been supported by the use of technology regarding the importance of producing good product photos. This service aims to improve marketing strategies for MSMEs in Setiling Village, Central Lombok Regency through product photo training. This product photo activity was carried out using the participant's smartphone. The main target in this activity is MSME actors who have received training and assistance in 2022. The method used in this community service activity is interactive participatory. Service is divided into three stages, namely planning and preparation, implementation and evaluation. Participants in the service activity consisted of 14 MSME actors and three students. At the beginning of the activity, participants were given material regarding the importance of product photos in marketing. Participants were also given an understanding of product photography techniques and product photo examples as a reference. After the material delivery activity, the participants then directly practiced the knowledge gained using their smartphones. During practical activities participants can use the property brought by the service team. Based on the activities that have been carried out, participants already have an understanding of product photo techniques and are able to produce product photos using their smartphone. Thus, there was an increase in participants' understanding of marketing strategies. Another result is that participants managed to upload product photos to their e-commerce accounts.

Abstract

Desa Mekarsari adalah desa dengan kondisi tata kelola yang perlu mendapat perhatian, karena belum dapat mengembalikan seperti kondisi sebelumnya paska kejadian gempa bumi pada tahun 2018. Akar permasalahan yang dialami Desa Mekarsari dalam melakukan pengembangan baik infrastruktur hingga ekonomi, sosial dan budaya setempat adalah rendahnya Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam melakukan tata kelola serta kurangnya kolaborasi antar stakeholder dalam menyusun program-program desa yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat lokal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas SDM stakeholder-stakeholder di tingkat desa melalui peningkatan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam perencanaan desa. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi tahap persiapan, sosialisasi, Participatory Rural Appraisal dan monitoring evaluasi. Teknik PRA digunakan untuk melibatkan masyarakat dan menjadikan masyarakat sebagai pelaku yang turut serta dalam melakukan eksplorasi potensi dan masalah desa, kemudian merumuskannya dalam bentuk strategi pengembangan desa yang tepat. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian tersebut, Kegiatan perencanaan desa berbasis partisipasi di Desa Mekarsari meningkatkan kapasitas SDM dan partisipasi masyarakat, di mana melalui metode PRA, masyarakat mengenali potensi dan masalah desa, mendorong kolaborasi stakeholder, serta memperkuat kelembagaan dan pembangunan desa. Sehingga diharapkan masyarakat lebih sadar bahwa masing-masing individu memiliki peran dan berhak untuk berpartisipasi dalam merencanakan desa kedepannya. Dan terwujudnya Masyarakat yang memiliki pengetahuan baru mengenai teknik PRA yang dapat meningkatkan pemikiran kritis dalam mengeksplor berbagai kondisi desa.
