Abstract

This study aims to produce learning videos with stop motion animation based on kinemaster for thematic learning in elementary schools that are valid and practical. This type of research is development research with a 4-D development model (define, design, develop and disseminate). The research instruments used were learning video validation sheets and practicality sheets (teacher and student response questionnaires). The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Based on the experts' assessment, the results of learning videos with stop motion animation based on kinemaster were in a very valid category and student response questionnaires were in a very practical category. Thus learning videos with stop motion animation based on kinemaster in thematic learning can be used in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of integrative thematic learning faced by teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating integrative thematic learning. This research is included in qualitative research due to the method used by researchers through descriptive methods. Data obtained through observation, interviews, personal documentation and other official documentation. The results obtained from this study are that integrative thematic learning in elementary schools has not run optimally. This can be seen from some of the problems encountered, among others, problems in terms of planning where there are some teachers who are not yet able to operate electronic and computer media so that in making learning tools including lesson plans they still need the help of other teachers and in the implementation of learning, teachers still tend to get confused explains learning that is integrated or connected to several subjects in one theme. The teacher's lack of understanding about integrative thematic learning, the teacher has not prepared interesting learning media and the lack of learning resources used.

Abstract

A baglog mixing machine is a machine or tool used to stir oyster mushroom planting media. The aim of making this machine is to make it more effective and streamline the time and energy of oyster mushroom farmers. The ingredients contained in oyster mushroom seeds are rice bran, mahogany sawdust, rice bran and agricultural lime. For the stirring system, steel is used which is rotated using an electric motor. This machine has a door at the bottom of the container to make it easier to remove the baglog mixing results. This machine is designed to be ergonomic, easy to use and safe for operators when working on this machine. It is hoped that the existence of this oyster mushroom baglog mixing tool or machine can help increase the amount of oyster mushroom baglog production and ease the work of oyster mushroom entrepreneurs. This machine has a volume capacity of 100 kg of oyster mushroom baglog and takes 20 minutes for one stir.

Abstract

Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana L. Wild) is an economically valuable plantation commodity in Indonesia; however, post-harvest handling is largely conducted using conventional shelling methods, which are inefficient and often cause seed damage, reducing quality and market value. Previous studies have investigated operational parameters of double roll shellers, such as rotational speed, roll spacing, and hopper width, yet most focused on one or two parameters in isolation, without comprehensively assessing the relationship between production capacity, shelling effectiveness, and kernel quality, nor comparing machine performance with traditional methods used by farmers. This research addresses that gap by designing and evaluating a double roll candlenut sheller made of ST37 steel with a target capacity of 82 kg/hour, considering production capacity, shelling efficiency, and kernel quality simultaneously. The design process included literature review, physical and mechanical characterization of candlenuts, structural and transmission system design, and calculations for power requirements and component safety. Results indicated that the maximum force required to shell two candlenuts simultaneously is 3,418.46 N, with a total machine power of 4,012.80 W (≈5.38 hp); applying a service factor of 1.2, a 6.5 hp gasoline engine was selected. Shafts, pulleys, V-belts, and gears were designed to ensure torque, shear stress, and deflection remain within safe limits. The machine operates at a roll speed of 150 rpm, achieves the targeted production capacity, and reduces kernel damage, thereby increasing the value of candlenuts for farmers. This integrated design approach provides a practical and efficient alternative to conventional shelling methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tingkat kebugaran jasmani atlet taekwondo kyorugi pemula doojang Fast Fighter Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 12 atlet dengan penarikan teknik total sampling dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tingkat kebugaran jasmani atlet taekwondo kyourugi pemula doojang Fast Fighter Pekanbaru secara rinci, sebanyak 0 atlet (0%) mempunyai kebugaran jasmani baik sekali, 2 atlet (0,17%) mempunyai kebugaran jasmani baik, 7 atlet (0,58%) mempunyai kebugaran jasmani sedang, 2 atlet (0,17%) mempunyai kebugaran jasmani kurang, dan 1 atlet (0,08%) mempunyai kebugaran jasmani kurang sekali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa atlet taekwondo kyourugi pemula doojang Fast Fighter Pekanbaru memiliki kebugaran jasmani sedang.

Abstract

Community empowerment through innovation in the health and environmental sectors is a strategic step to improve the quality of life and community resilience to various health and environmental problems. The Universitas Riau and Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai Service Team Work Program in Sungai Kayu Ara Village, Siak Regency, aims to educate and empower the community through three main activities, namely the socialization of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) at SDN 06 Sungai Kayu Ara, the socialization of making soap from eco enzyme, as well as socializing the manufacture of dishwashing soap and water purifier. This program is implemented with a community participation-based approach, aiming to reduce dependence on products made from dangerous chemicals and provide practical, environmentally friendly solutions. The first activity was carried out on 12 October 2024, followed by the second activity on 16 October 2024, and the third activity on 6 December 2024. The results of this activity showed an increase in public knowledge regarding PHBS and the use of natural ingredients in everyday life, which had a positive impact on a healthier and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Abstract

This problem iss motivated by the low problem solving abilities of students in completing mathematics story promblems at SDM 002 Penyasawan, Kampar sub-district, Kampar district. One solution to overcome this problem is apply the Polya stage. The aim of this research is to describe the application of the Polya stages to improve problem solving abilities. This research method is classroom action research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle concists of two meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. And the implementation time is October 2025. The subjects of this research were 20 grade 5 students, consisting of 10 boys and 10 girls. Data collection techniques include observation sheets, tests, documentation. The result of the research can be concluded that the level of problem solving wuth the 5th grade the Polya stage at SDM 002 Penyasawan in cycle I is quite low with an average of 69. Furthermore, out of 20 students, only 12 students completed the classical completion with 60%. While in cycle II it was good enough with an average of 84.25 out of 20 students, only 2 students did not complete tthe classical completeness of 90%. Thus it can be concluded that using the Polya stages can improve the problem solving abilities of the grade 5 students at SDM 002 Penyaswan.

Abstract

The Discussion method may be more suitable for teaching these manual skills, where physical movements and movements involved in holding an object will be learned, or for teaching routine matters (Staton, 1978:91). In other words, the Discussion method aims to teach physical skills rather than intellectual skills. Cardille argues that the discussion method can be used to: 1) teach students how to perform an action or use a new procedure or product, 2) increase students' confidence that a procedure is possible, 3) increase attention in learning and the use of procedures. By demonstrating or acting out an action, process, or procedure, the Discussion method has the following advantages: 1) It reduces the possibility of error compared to when students only read or hear explanations, because discussion provides a concrete picture that clarifies students' learning outcomes from their observations. 2) It allows students to be directly involved in discussion activities, thus providing a great opportunity for students to gain direct experience. The opportunity for student involvement gives students the chance to develop their skills and gain recognition and appreciation. 3) It makes it easier for students to focus their attention on things that are considered important, so that students will really pay special attention to these things.
