Most of the community surrounding forest areas in Sukabumi District are poor farmers. They traditionally cultivate medicinal plants. However, quality of the products is not standardized, and hence, low price. Therefore, it is needed to strengthen and empower the farmer capacity, by developing an integrated marketing model for medicinal plants and by enhancing the competitiveness of the farmer group institution so that they can build a partnership with industry. This activity involved farmers at Mekarjaya Village, Ciemas Subdistrict who are member of Srijaya Farmer Groups Association. Survey, in-depth interview, and focus group discussion were conducted to get data on the existing condition. Farmer institution strengthening was conducted through trainings for farmers on entrepreneurship, medicinal plant cultivation and processing, facilitation of farmer group institution, and establishment of demonstration plots of medicinal plant cultivation. Agribusiness networking and partnership was built through the memorandum of understanding on marketing between Sri Jaya with two biopharmaca companies.

ABSTRAKEkonomi Kreatif memiliki konsep mengintensifkan informasi dan kreativitas dengan mengandalkan ide dan pengetahuan dari sumber daya manusia sebagai faktor produksi utama dalam kegiatan ekonomi yang berbasis sumber daya alam sekarang menjadi berbasis sumber daya manusia, dari era pertanian ke era industri dan informasi. Peningkatan sistem perubahan baik dari sosial, lingkungan, ekonomi, kelembagaan dan perilaku kewirausahaan membutuhkan suatu proses yang berkelanjutan. Proses ini berupaya meningkatkan potensi masa kini dan masa depan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan aspirasi manusia. Tujuan Penelitian untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan usaha pengrajin ekonomi kreatif dan menentukan faktor-faktor pengungkit terhadap keberlanjutan usaha pengrajin ekonomi kreatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Wajo dan Bulukumba. Sampel adalah 215 pengrajin ekonomi kreatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai April 2012 terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder. Analisa data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Multi Dimensional Scaling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil simulasi Rap-UEK secara keseluruhan menunjukkan status kurang berkelanjutan sebesar 48,97% dan faktor-faktor pengungkit yang perlu diperhatikan berdasarkan hasil analisis leverage pada Dimensi Ekonomi ada tiga atribut, Dimensi Dimensi Sosial dan Lingkungan ada empat atribut , Dimensi Kelembagaan ada tiga atribut dan Dimensi Perilaku Kewirausahaan Usaha Ekonomi Kreatif ada tiga atribut.Kata kunci: analisis, keberlanjutan, ekonomi kreatif, pengrajin sutera

The objectives of this research was: to understand the farmers decision-making process in accepting the agribusiness joint venture company, to explore the factors relating to the farmers decision-making, and to analyze changes in farmer companies’s performances and a co-operative in Bogor, Cianjur, Bandung, and Garut. The population of the study was 285 farmers. The dissemination of Farmers decision to get involve in joint venture companies occurred through farmers to farmers interaction, and through their familyties. Some encouraging factor that affected farmers to joint the joint venture companies were guaranteed marketing, supply of seeds, manure, and pesticide, high vegetable productivity, extensiion agent’s technical assistance, and following other farmers.

The main problems for vegetable farmers are low technology and intensive use of pesticide, therefore farmers cannot produce vegetables with good quality continually. By applying agribusiness partnership it is expected the farmers would be able to overcome the limitation of technology and capital for small farmers attainment a good quality of vegetables, and problem of marketing. This study was aimed to analyze benefit involvement of farmers in agribusiness partnership. Collective case study method was used in five agribusiness companies and one co-operation which applying partnership of agribusiness in West Java: i.e. Bogor, Cianjur, Bandung, and Garut. The population are farmers around company and co-operation, the unit of analysis is farmers household counted of the 285 farmers. Involvement of farmers in partnership has effect on the improvement of farmers income, the use of technology (production and handling), appropriate pesticide use use, labor absorption, and capital usage. Involvement of farmers in partnership also has effect on continuity of farmers business.

For achieve educational equity, government, private and non government organization provide scholarships. Scholarships are awarded as an effort to empower the recipients. Therefore this study aims to (1) analyze the scholarship program based on the concept of empowerment, (2) measure the factors that influence academic achievement of grantees. This research was conducted to 41 grantees Beastudi Etos at Jabodetabek during November-December 2013. The results showed that the scholarship is effective to be an empowerment program. Because it increase achievement motivation of grantees, and create positif environment to support learning process.Keywords: academic achievement, effectiveness of scholarship

The teacher is a strategic factor in the learning process. For that teachers must have good skills, especially the ability to communicate, because the whole learning process is closely related to communication. But the reality has not been able to optimize the ability of the teacher to the students of boys and girls. This study aims to develop the communication behavior of a gender responsive teachers. The study was designed as ekplanatory survey research conducted by two hundred the number of respondents using Taro Yamane formula. This research was conducted in the city of Padang and Padang Pariaman since June-December 2013. Results showed that the strategy of development of gender responsive teacher communication behaviors through strengthening the internal and external factors.Keywords: teacher, strategies, gender responsive, learning process

Life skill education is an essential thing that must be owned by people to gain knowledge and practical skill in particular work fields. The success of life skill education was determined by the direct involvement of the society based on the planning, implementation, evaluation, and benefit of the result. The society would have involved in an activity if it was appropriate with the necessity, the interest, the aptitude, and the availability and the continuity of the source so that the society can apply the skill and the knowledge which are required for themselves and are useful for teaching the local society. The participation of the society was influenced by age, level of formal and informal education, attitude toward life skills, level of knowledge of life skills, functional skills, previous experience about life skills, the guidance of facilitators, and also the availability of supported facilities. According to Arstein, the participation of the society included in tokenism group which is the involvement due to the push in order to make them agree, the announcement of the same direction, the advice from the society is accepted but anyhow it became useless. The degree of the participation from the society gives much effect toward the success of life skill education in attitude change related to personal skill and academic skill. The attitude is also seen in social and vocational skills.Keywords: the level participation, life skill

The government should work with the elements of society to solve a growing social problem, including organizations that exist at the village level. Karang Taruna as one of the youth organizations, is a partner that could take the role in solving social problems. The purpose of this study is to determine how youth perceptions of the Karang Taruna role and the factors that influence these perceptions. Descriptive analytical study design by incidental sampling techniques to 93 youths carried out at Bogor City. Data collection was conducted between February until April 2014. Processed data using regression analysis. The results showed that age, education, motivation, experience, interaction with organization, social environment, knowledge about the social problem and knowledge about karang taruna role in the implementation of social welfare influence statistically significant to youth perceptions about Karang Tarunaâ€™s role in solving social problems.Keywords: role, karang taruna, perception, social problems, karang taruna

Integrated crop management (ICM) can increase productivity, economic benefit rice farming through the efficient use of inputs, and conserve land resources for sustainable production systems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of adoption, perception of ICM, and factors that influence the adoption of innovation ICM of paddy in Leuwiliang District. The research location was in Barengkok village and Leuwimekar village, Leuwiliang Sub-district. Research was implemented from May until July 2014. Respondents in this study were 80 farmers. The respondent covered 40 farmers from the Barengkok village and 40 farmers from Leuwimekar village. The data was collected by using a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. Multiple regression analysis test was used to analyze the data. The research results showed (1) The adoption level of integrated crop management (ICM) of paddy in the Leuwiliang Sub district was in high category, and (2) The factors of age, experience, land area, the availability of technology information, knowledge and perceptions of farmers were significantly affected the adoption level of ICM paddy.Keywords: adoptiom, innovation, paddy field in Leuwiliang, integrated crop management

Field School of Comprehensive Agriculture Land-Use Management (SL-PTT) is agriculture innovation from ministry of agriculture. The SL-PTT program aims accelerating the adoption of innovation at the farm level to increase production in a sustainable manner. The study aims to analyze decision making process by the farmers to adopt and utilize the technology of rice innovation in their land-use and and how much the production level of rice achieved by the farmers in SL-PTT program. The study was planned using survey descriptive correlational on March-April 2014 covered 80 farmers in village of Abbokongeng, Sub District of Kulo, District of Sidrap, South Sulawesi. Data were analyzed and tested using multiple linear regression. The evidence showed that almost all (91,25%) of the farmers applied all innovations, such as: using high qualified seeds, planting system, using appropriate fertilizer and water irrigarion, controlling pests, harvest and past-harvest management. Production of rice were more than 6,000 kg /ha with average profit is Rp 18,969,950/Ha. To increase adoption innovation of technology by the farmers, exntension worker should carry out more intensive approach. Communication between the farmers and the extension worker should be maintained and increased through the SL-PTT program in such that the rice production can be consistently increazed.Keywords: Adoption, technology, farmer, extension worker, SL-PTT
