The role of seed farmers groups is vital in efforts to achieve food self-sufficiency. The role of seed farmers groups mainly as a production unit that provides needs of superior seed, and act as learning forum, partnership forum, and marketing units. The aim of this study was to: (1) analyze the relationship between the roles of farmer’s group and the capacity of farmer’s group for foundation seeds breeder in East Lampung District; (2) formulate strategies to increase the breeder’s capacity by a way of optimizing the roles of farmer’s group. The study was conducted in East Lampung district seed farmers group with total sample of 59 farmers, seed breeders. The method of analysis was used Pearson's correlation matrix. The results showed that: (1) in general, there were significant relationship (p≥0,05) between the roles of farmer’s group and the capacity of farmer’s group irrigated lowland rice breeder; the roles of farmer’s group that was not significantly related to innovation mastery and capacity of technology components application; the role as a production unit with the capacity of technology component application; and role of a marketing unit with the capacity of technology component application, yield orientation and forging partnership; (2) the strategy to increase the breeder’s capacity could be conducted through optimizing the role of the farmer’s group as a learning class, collaboration vessel, production unit and marketing unit.Keywords: breeder’s capacity, foundation seeds, roles of group

The aim of this research are to: (1) analyze the role of the seed farmers in East Lampung regency; (2) analyze the capacity ofseed farmers in East Lampung regency; (3) analyzing role of farmer groups’relation with the capacity of seed farmers for paddy rice sources in East Lampung regency. The study was conducted in East Lampung district seed farmers group with total sample of 59 farmers seed breeders. The method of analysis was used Pearson's correlation matrix. The results showed that: (1) the role of the seed farmers group as partnership forum and marketing units is the most important with the higher category results than group's role as learning forum and production units with the medium category; (2) the capacity of farmers in the seed production preparation and sustainability efforts was in the high category, while in the mastery of innovation, the application of technology components, and marketing orientation was in the medium category; (3) generally there is a significant corelation between the role of farmer groups with the capacity of breeder farmers with the exception relation of partnership forum, unit production and marketing unit with the application of technology components, and marketing unit with the marketing orientation and a partnership.Keywords: capacity, farmer breeders, role of group, seed

Mango farmer need a technology to improve the production and the quality of mango. This study was aimed to analyse the factors related to the use of information by mango farmer, the relationship of farmer characteristics, level of information need, and level of information access with the use of information sources by the mango farmer, and to analyze the relationship between the use of information sources and the level of utilization of technology information by the mango farmer. A survey was conducted towards 65 farmers as respondents in Sedong Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency.The results showed that in the use of information sources of mango farmer, a few of information sources were used, the intensity of information access was low and the level of information appropriateness were low and very high. The influential factors towards the use of information sources were age, level of formal and non-formal education, scale of business, level of income, level of information need of cultivation, post-harvest, and marketing, and so level of easiness and affordability to access information. The level of utilization of information were very high to enhance the knowledge, very low to be applicated, and high to be forwarded to others. A very significant possitive correlation was found between the use of information sources and utilization of information.Keywords: utilization of information, mango, information need, information sources

Running water fish culture is one of the techniques in freshwater fish cultivation. This activity forms an agribusiness system and interactions from the individuals involved. These interactions form a communication network. This study aimed to provide a description of running water fish culture innovation, analyze the interpersonal communication networks in running water fish culture agribusiness, factors that influence the interpersonal communication networks, and analyze the factors that influence business sustainability. This research which used the census method was conducted in Caringin Subdistrict Bogor Regency. Survey results show that the communication network formed was of scattered personal networks. The outdegree centrality and indegree centrality values obtained were categorized as medium respectively. The closeness centrality value is also in the medium category. Whereas the betweenness centrality value for running water fish agribusiness participants is known to be the highest. Those individuals with high betweenness centrality values possess the ability to organize communication in their networks.

Internal communication can be understood as the foundation and building of an organizational culture. The existence of an organizational culture that has been firmly held by its employees will greatly support the process of the main purpose of the company. This research aims to analyze internal communication in building organization oriented on the results and time, using a sample of 30 respondents. This research is conducted by using quantitative approach supported by qualitative data. The results of this study indicate a change given by internal communication in building an organizational culture, which is one aspect is the leadership power that becomes a good example for the employees. A strong leadership role to provide direction and start with a good communication process, will get a positive response from its employees in work and improve the maximum work.

Marketing communication by community based agrotourism marketer are needed so that many people are interested to visit and utilize the products or services offered. Personal selling is one form of marketing communication conducted by Kampung 99 Pepohonan Agrotourism. This paper aims to analyze the effectiveness of personal selling as marketing communication at Kampung 99 Pepohonan Agrotourism which the one of community based agrotourism and analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of personal selling as marketing communication. This research uses census method by using quantitative data in the form of questionnaires supported by qualitative data in the form of interview with informant. The results showed that the effectiveness of personal selling as marketing communications on cognitive aspect influenced by marketing communication skills variable and the completeness of message content variable, while the effectiveness of personal selling as marketing communication on affective and conative aspects influenced by messages delivery strategy.

abstrak: Keluarga dan lingkungan sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kepribadian remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggunakan konsep Positive Youth Development (PYD) yang belum populer di Indonesia. Konsep PYD meyakini bahwa potensi kebaikan dalam diri remaja akan tumbuh sebagai hasil interaksi antara karakteristik internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan format pernyataan menggunakan skala Likert 1-4 terhadap 316 siswa dari 15 SMA di Kota Bogor yang dipilih secara sengaja berdasarkan keikutsertaan mereka di dalam program ekstrakurikuler di sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Hasilnya bahwa waktu berkualitas remaja putri lebih tinggi daripada remaja laki-laki, sedangkan kompetensi remaja laki-laki lebih tinggi daripada remaja perempuan. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara empat komponen PYD yaitu kepercayaan diri, karakter, kepedulian, dan koneksi dengan waktu berkualitas bersama keluarga. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif antara seluruh komponen PYD dengan kepedulian pembina. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini yaitu diperlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak untuk memperbaiki waktu berkualitas bersama keluarga, sementara kepedulian pembina perlu terus dijaga agar tetap terlaksana dengan baik. Creative economy craftsmen have big contribution to regional income and able to sustain in crisis. It can be seen on the average of Gross Domestic Product has employed 5.4 million in average for 2002-2009 with participation level of 5.8%. Therefore, a strategic sustainability is needed especially for the determinant factors of sustainability related to creative economy craftsmen. This research aims to observe the determinant factors of sustainability of creative economy craftsmen in Wajo and Bulukumba Regencies in South Sulawesi Province. Sample for the research was 215 creative economy craftsmen. Data collection is conducted on January to April 2012 consists of primary and secondary data. Research method was using prospective analysis to determine important factors to the sustainability of creative economy craftsmen that predict future alternatives. Result from Rap-UEK simulation for the composite of five dimensions showed a less sustainable status of 48.97%. The GEKA.id website is an educational website for the prevention of free sex for teenagers, in Kampar Regency. Data in 2020 there are 6,797 AIDS cases in Riau Province, 82 of them are in Kampar Regency, where the cause is 2240 cases due to free sex and 2 percent of cases are teenagers aged 15-19 years. On the other hand, technological advances, various information can be obtained easily. Without guidance and education, teenagers can be plunged into misery free sex. The GEKA.id website is part of the GEKA.id Program implemented with partners, namely the School-level Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of using the GEKA.id website in increasing knowledge about the preventing free sex for youth. The method used is an evaluative research method, which is a design or procedure in collecting and analyzing data systematically to determine the success and benefits of a program. The results achieved in the GEKA.id Program are the development of a website with various features, and is equipped with a web usage manual and educational programs. The GEKA.id website has been proven to be effective in increasing adolescent knowledge about the prevention of free sex, and is rated very good based on a user satisfaction survey.

Penelitian ini membahas persepsi petani mengenai peranan petugas penyuluh pertanian di Desa Sidomulyo dan Muari, Distrik Oransbari, Kabupaten Manokwari Selatan, Papua Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi petani terhadap peranan penyuluh pertanian (teknisi, fasilitator dan advisor). Faktor tersebut meliputi: (1) faktor internal: karakteristik petani (umur, pendidikan formal, pendidikan non-formal, status kepemilikan lahan dan pengalaman berusaha tani) dan (2) faktor eksternal: sistem sosial petani (keterlibatan petani dalam kelompok dan pengetahuan petani terhadap peranan penyuluh pertanian). Responden sebanyak 80 petani yang masih aktif dalam kegiatan penyuluhan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan membuat tabel frekuensi dan persentase dan menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman pada taraf kepercayaan 0,05% untuk melihat tingkat keeratan hubungan antara variabel bebas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebagian besar anggota kelompok tani di Desa Sidomulyo dan Muari Distrik Oransbari masih berada pada usia produktif masa bekerja yaitu 35-47 tahun, dengan tingkat pendidikan tamat SLTP, sering mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan yang berhubungan dengan usaha tani, memiliki pengalaman berusaha tani 10-20 tahun, aktif mengikuti petemuan rutin kelompok tani, (2) persepsi petani terhadap peranan penyuluh pertanian sebagai teknisi,fasilitator dan advisor dikategorikan baik, (3) ada hubungan antara faktor internal karakteristik petani dan faktor eksternal (sistem sosial) terhadap persepsi petani terhadap peranan penyuluh pertanian sebagai teknisi, fasilitator dan advisor.Kata kunci: Persepsi, peranan penyuluh pertanian, petani, penyuluh pertanian.
