Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia using the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) method. Sharia Conformity measures a bank's level of compliance with sharia principles, while profitability assesses a bank's ability to generate profits. The data used are the financial performance reports of Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2023. SCnP indicators include sharia-compliant product structures and compliance with the National Sharia Council (DSN) fatwas, while profitability is assessed through Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). The results show that Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Aceh Syariah are in the URQ quadrant, with Sharia Conformity levels of 75% and 79%, respectively. In terms of profitability, Bank Aceh Syariah performed 67.15% higher than Bank Muamalat Indonesia at 1.37%. This finding indicates a positive correlation between sharia compliance and profitability, where increased sharia conformity can strengthen financial performance. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of strategies that focus on sharia compliance to support the growth and competitiveness of sharia banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of cryptocurrency investment adoption through the Indodax application by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). Specifically, it investigates the mediating role of performance expectancy in linking effort expectancy and trust to behavioral intention. Data were collected from 417 Indodax users in Indonesia and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that performance expectancy significantly influences behavioral intention, while effort expectancy and trust do not have significant direct effects. However, both variables indirectly influence behavioral intention through performance expectancy. This indicates that users prioritize expected benefits over ease of use and trust when making investment decisions in high-risk environments. This study extends UTAUT2 by demonstrating that, in high-risk fintech contexts, adoption behavior follows an indirect and sequential cognitive evaluation process. It provides empirical evidence from the Indonesian cryptocurrency market and highlights the conditional applicability of UTAUT2 in emerging digital investment ecosystems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of organizational culture and its impact on employees’ organizational commitment within a faculty at a private university. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving 15 participants consisting of lecturers and administrative staff selected through purposive sampling based on tenure and organizational involvement. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis, with an interview protocol focusing on cultural practices, communication patterns, and perceived commitment levels. Data was analyzed using thematic coding, including open, axial, and selective coding to identify key patterns and relationships. To ensure research rigor, credibility strategies such as data triangulation across sources and member checking were applied to validate findings. The results indicate that organizational culture, characterized by collaboration, discipline, transparency, and open communication, significantly strengthens affective, normative, and continuance commitment. A supportive work environment fosters emotional attachment, while clear policies and professional development opportunities enhance employees' sense of responsibility and intention to remain in the organization. These findings provide both theoretical and practical implications for strengthening organizational commitment in higher education institutions.
