Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini has significantly transformed how university students engage with academic tasks and learning processes. However, the widespread use of these tools has not been accompanied by an adequate understanding of ethical considerations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between AI digital literacy and students' ethical perceptions of AI usage in academic contexts. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed, involving 175 Educational Technology students from Universitas Negeri Makassar selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments consisted of two Likert-scale questionnaires measuring dimensions of technical skills, critical evaluation, ethical awareness, AI collaboration, and ethical perceptions. Descriptive statistics showed that ethical perception scored the highest average (M = 3.80), while critical evaluation scored the lowest (M = 3.25). Assumption tests confirmed normality, linearity, and homoscedasticity. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between AI digital literacy and ethical perception (r = 0.542, p < 0.001), with ethical awareness showing the strongest correlation (r = 0.612). These findings underscore the importance of enhancing digital literacy that encompasses not only technical and critical skills but also ethical understanding, to promote responsible AI use in academic environments.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between parental knowledge of educational games and children's interest in using them. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative method with a survey of 85 parents in Makassar, South Sulawesi, it was found that parental knowledge significantly and positively correlated (r = 0.42, p < 0.001) with children's interest in educational games. Parental knowledge explained 18% of the variance in children's interest. While most parents demonstrated a moderate level of knowledge (62%), their proficiency in game selection criteria (40%) and guidance strategies (45%) remained relatively low. Children's interest, conversely, was notably high (average score 72.8), particularly in enthusiasm and initiative. These findings underscore the crucial role of parental knowledge as a catalyst in optimizing the utilization of educational games, emphasizing the need for more targeted digital literacy programs for parents to effectively select and guide their children in the digital environment.tua dalam memilih dan mendampingi anak dalam lingkungan digital.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam dunia pendidikan tinggi menghadirkan peluang sekaligus tantangan etis, terutama di kalangan mahasiswa yang kerap memanfaatkan AI tanpa pemahaman etika akademik yang memadai. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi etika penggunaan AI di lingkungan akademik melalui pelatihan daring berbasis prinsip transparansi, tanggung jawab akademik, privasi data, keadilan akses, sikap kritis, dan pengembangan kompetensi. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi-refleksi, dengan total partisipasi sebanyak 56 mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan peserta yang sangat tinggi, dengan skor >96% untuk indikator kepuasan terhadap pembicara dan materi, serta peningkatan pengetahuan. Implikasi dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pelatihan yang partisipatif dan kontekstual mampu memperkuat kesadaran etis dan keterampilan kritis mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan AI secara bertanggung jawab. Pelatihan ini direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi dalam skala yang lebih luas sebagai upaya preventif terhadap penyalahgunaan AI di ranah akademik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kualitas pembelajaran, Micro-learning, dan pembelajaran pengalaman dalam rangka mengoptimalkan pendidikan melalui pendekatan inovatif. Analisis menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan di antara ketiga variabel tersebut, yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya integrasi metodologi baru dalam pendidikan. Pertama, ditemukan korelasi yang kuat antara kualitas pembelajaran dan Micro-learning (r = 0.590**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Micro-learning yang efektif mampu meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran secara keseluruhan. Kedua, korelasi antara kualitas pembelajaran dan pembelajaran pengalaman juga signifikan (r = 0.726**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menegaskan dampak positif pengalaman belajar langsung terhadap pemahaman dan penerapan pengetahuan siswa. Ketiga, Micro-learning dan pembelajaran pengalaman menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan (r = 0.694**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menunjukkan peran saling melengkapi dalam meningkatkan pengalaman belajar yang holistik. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini meliputi pengoptimalan pembelajaran melalui integrasi mendalam antara Micro-learning dan pembelajaran pengalaman, yang dapat mendukung pemahaman konseptual sekaligus mengembangkan keterampilan praktis siswa. Temuan ini mendorong pengembangan kurikulum berbasis bukti untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Para pendidik dapat menyesuaikan strategi pengajaran dengan memanfaatkan Micro-learning untuk penyampaian konten yang terstruktur dan pembelajaran pengalaman untuk aplikasi di dunia nyata. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya metodologi pendidikan berkualitas tinggi untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal dan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan masa depan. Penelitian lanjutan dapat mengeksplorasi dampak spesifik dari berbagai format Micro-learning serta efek jangka panjang dari pendekatan pembelajaran terintegrasi terhadap keberhasilan siswa dan kesiapan karier mereka.   The study investigates the relationship between the quality of learning, micro-learning, and experiential learning designed to improve education via innovative approaches. The analysis indicates a noteworthy positive correlation among these variables, highlighting the necessity of incorporating innovative strategies in education. A significant relationship is found between the quality of learning and micro-learning (r = 0.590**, p < 0.01), indicating that effective micro-learning improves overall learning outcomes. In a similar vein, the correlation between the quality of learning and experiential learning is noteworthy (r = 0.726**, p < 0.01), underscoring the beneficial effect of practical experiences on students' comprehension and utilization of knowledge. Additionally, there is a significant correlation between micro-learning and experiential learning (r = 0.694**, p < 0.01), highlighting their synergistic contributions to enhancing comprehensive learning experiences. The results indicate that combining micro-learning with experiential learning can enhance educational outcomes by fostering knowledge comprehension and hands-on skill acquisition. The results support the development of curriculum grounded in empirical evidence to enhance the quality of learning. Educators have the ability to customize approaches by employing micro-learning for organized content dissemination and experiential learning for practical application in real-world scenarios. This study highlights the importance of creative instructional methods in attaining the best results and equipping learners for upcoming challenges. Future studies may investigate various micro-learning formats and the enduring effects of integrated approaches on student achievement and career preparedness.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) di kalangan mahasiswa melalui pelatihan bertema "Penggunaan AI sebagai Alat, Kreativitas Tetap di Tangan". Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring dan diikuti oleh 56 mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup presentasi materi, diskusi, serta praktik terbimbing dalam penggunaan prompt AI untuk mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan unjuk kerja peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap materi, fasilitator, dan kebermanfaatan pelatihan, dengan persentase kepuasan mencapai 98% pada beberapa indikator. Peserta juga berhasil menghasilkan karya berbasis AI yang relevan dengan konteks akademik mereka. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam membangun kesadaran mahasiswa untuk menggunakan AI secara kritis, etis, dan kreatif. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya integrasi literasi AI reflektif dalam pendidikan tinggi sebagai upaya menyeimbangkan pemanfaatan teknologi dengan penguatan nilai akademik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem e-portofolio berbasis website yang terintegrasi dengan platform Behance sebagai alat penilaian dan pameran online mahasiswa di Program Studi Teknologi Pendidikan. Model yang diterapkan adalah Web Based Learning yang melewati empat langkah utama: 1) Gathering Information (Pengumpulan Informasi), di mana peneliti menyiapkan dokumen informasi dan menentukan metode pengiriman sistem untuk memastikan aksesibilitas yang mudah; 2) Developing Materials (Mengembangkan Bahan), yang melibatkan perancangan website dan fitur sistem e-portofolio dengan fokus pada pengalaman pengguna; 3) Producing Materials (Memproduksi Bahan), termasuk pembuatan alur kerja yang jelas untuk pengunggahan tugas; dan 4) Evaluating Materials (Mengevaluasi Bahan), di mana uji coba sistem dilakukan dalam situasi nyata untuk menilai fungsionalitas dan kemudahan penggunaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-portofolio dapat meningkatkan dokumentasi dan evaluasi karya mahasiswa, serta memfasilitasi aksesibilitas yang lebih baik bagi dosen dalam memberikan umpan balik. Validasi oleh ahli program menunjukkan desain yang sangat layak dan efektif, sementara uji coba pada kelompok kecil dan besar menunjukkan hasil yang positif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa e-portofolio adalah alat yang efektif dalam mendukung proses penilaian dan pameran online mahasiswa, sekaligus meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam aktivitas kreatif.

Abstract

This research addresses the need for innovative and practical teaching materials in higher education entrepreneurship courses. The study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive digital module based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) to enhance student engagement and bridge the gap between theory and practice. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 3D model (Define, Design, Develop), a digital flipbook module was created, featuring multimedia content and QR codes that link theoretical concepts to practical project guidelines. The product was evaluated through expert validation and user practicality trials. The results demonstrated the module's high feasibility, achieving a content validity score of 86% and a media validity score of 94%. Furthermore, the module proved highly practical, with consistent scores from students (85-86%) and the course lecturer (90%). The study concludes that the systematic integration of a PjBL workflow into an interactive digital module is an effective solution for creating an active and autonomous learning environment. This research provides a valid, practical, and replicable model for developing modern educational resources. Future studies are recommended to quantitatively measure the module's impact on student learning outcomes and entrepreneurial competencies.

Abstract

This study investigates the development of Augmented Reality (AR)-based teaching materials to enhance students’ understanding of local wisdom and cultural diversity in secondary schools in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved 304 students across four major ethnic regions, namely Makassar, Bone, Toraja, and Mandar, which were divided equally into experimental and control groups. The experimental group utilized AR-integrated materials, whereas the control group employed traditional methods. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and student perception surveys. Results revealed a significant increase in students' cultural awareness and understanding after the intervention, particularly among Bugis Makassar and Bugis Bone groups. The mean improvement in the experimental group was statistically significant (p < 0.001), confirming the pedagogical benefits of AR in promoting cultural literacy. Additionally, students expressed strong appreciation for AR’s interactive features, which enhanced their engagement and motivation. This study underscores the importance of integrating AR and local wisdom in educational content to foster inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments. The findings emphasize that augmented reality (AR)-based instructional resources serve as a powerful tool in enhancing students' understanding of indigenous knowledge and cultural diversity within secondary education. The incorporation of local wisdom into educational content not only enhances students’ learning experiences but also cultivates a profound appreciation of their cultural heritage. The results highlight the potential of AR as a transformative technology that can bridge the deficiencies inherent in conventional pedagogical approaches, particularly in fostering cultural awareness among learners.

Abstract

This study was conducted by researchers referring to initial observations where researchers found the fact that the teaching module used was not in accordance with the guidelines for implementing the independent curriculum, where data that was designed visually still required data in the form of clear images or illustrations and materials that were not yet appropriate, especially in sociology subjects. This study aims to (1) determine the level of development needs, (2) design sociology subject teaching modules, (3) determine the level of validation of teaching modules, (4) determine the level of practicality of teaching modules. This study uses an R&D approach with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Luwu Timur with a total of 30 students and 1 sociology subject teacher as research subjects. The results of this study indicate that the needs analysis is at the level of need, needed because the previous teaching devices were not optimal, which were dominated by printed books, so that interactive teaching modules were needed and contained reading materials, videos and evaluation instruments. Then in the design of the teaching module developed using software such as Microsoft Word, Canva, Capcut and hardware using a printer. The level of product validity based on the alpha test of learning media experts is in a very valid qualification, then the material/content experts are in a very valid qualification so that it can be tested in the field. The level of product practicality is in a very practical qualification and the teacher's response results are in a very practical qualification. Based on the results of research and development, this teaching module is able to increase student involvement and understanding in accordance with the principles of the independent curriculum and can be an innovative alternative in supporting the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore children's preferences for books and interactive technologies and to identify the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) in enhancing their reading interest. A quantitative survey was conducted with children to gather data on their preferences for visual and multimedia elements in books. The results show that 85% of children like books with many pictures, and 78% feel that interesting pictures help them better understand the story. Additionally, 92% of children enjoy watching videos on their phones, and 83% are interested in books that include educational videos. Notably, 87% of children expressed a desire to try reading books with AR technology and enjoy AR features such as 3D animations, educational games, and simulations. These findings indicate that AR-based books have great potential to increase children's interest in reading and support their learning in a more enjoyable and effective way. By developing books that are appealing and tailored to children's needs, AR can become an innovative tool that helps cultivate a love for reading and improve children's literacy skills. This study suggests that integrating AR technology into children's books can provide a richer and more interactive reading experience, meeting their visual and interactive preferences and enhancing their engagement and motivation to read.
