Abstract

Increasing the amount of data stored in the DBMS, resulting in data mining processes less efficiently implemented through machine learning applications. In general, the data mining process is carried out by implementing a number of work steps starting from data cleaning, data integration, data selection, data transformation and then data mining. In this series of steps, there is a process whereby data stored in a database is taken then exported for analysis. Exporting data from a database allows data to be insecure. Implementation of data mining algorithms in the database, is one solution to overcome these problems. In addition, implementing a data mining process on a DBMS can guarantee data security. The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya has used the DBMS to store and manage student data. The application of data mining processes to predict the success of studies in the academic data of the Faculty of Computer Science is done by replicating the database. In implementing the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm in the database, the table design stage is carried out by mapping each algorithm using SQL operations. At the design stage, SQL operations are stored in stored procedures. The results of stored procedure execution were tested by comparing the results of the MySQL DBMS system and the results of the WEKA application, obtaining an accuracy of the classification results of 96,94% using a MySQL DBMS and 96,84% using a WEKA.

Abstract

In order to make sure the quality of the learning process at Brawijaya University, students are asked to filling out some questionnaire. The questionnaire is filled out by students at the end of the semester online, at the University of Brawijaya (SIAM UB). Data from the questionnaire given by the head of the study program. The recapitulation data of teaching lecturers is also given by the head of the study program. But if you want to analyzed them the processing is still done manually. To obtain this information, a data collection mechanism from 2 or more integrated sources is needed. The data set will then be analyzed to be used as a source of reporting. The results of the analysis can be used as an evaluation for a study program. Therefore we need a solution that help the study program to analyzed data to the maximum. The solution that can be used for handling this kind of problems is data warehouse. To be able to have quality data that will be data warehouse, it needs the Extract, Transform, Loading (ETL) process. There are various kinds of software that handle ETL, one of them is Talend Open Studio. After the ETL is complete, using data visualization tool named Tableau a dashboard will be created. Based on the test results, verification of the ETL in the data warehouse tables was successfully done. The results of validation testing on the dashboard within the data warehouse also display valid status. Then also performed time testing on the ETL. The average time needed to execute ETL with a total of 4,625 rows is + 7 seconds.

Abstract

Liburan sekolah is a travel agency engaged in services, which offer tour packages and guide tourists in visiting the Thousand Islands tours. To make a tour package booking, visitors must contact customer service via telephone or whatsApp and customer service records each order entered manually. This becomes less effective because customer service must reply to every order that comes in and checks every transaction made by a visitor. Based on this we need an information system that can facilitate visitors and customer service in the process of ordering and registering orders. In the process of developing a system used a method that is carried out sequentially or commonly known as the waterfall method. The results of the needs analysis yielded 15 functional needs which were described in the use of case diagrams and the results of system design were described in sequence diagrams, activity diagrams and database modeling. In the process of implementing the system, the Laravel and mysql framework are used for database storage, at this stage 6 controllers are generated. Based on the results of black box testing shows all functions can run well and is declared valid and based on the results of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test with 10 respondents producing an index value of 89.6% can conclude the system can be accepted. Based on the results of this study produced a tour package booking information system that can facilitate tourists and admins and the transaction process

Abstract

The New Student Development Program (Startup Academy) is an introduction to campus life in the Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM). Students who do not pass the Startup Academy cannot become members or administrators of Student Organizations in the Faculty of Computer Science. The difficulty in accessing this data has caused several institutions to continue recruiting students who did not pass Probinmaba (Startup Academy) because they did not know their graduation status. This caused the values that were expected to be conveyed to new students in the Student Orientation to be meaningless and many laws were violated by the organization management and the new students themselves. Based on these problems, one effort that can be done is to build a system as an assessment information center that can help institutional administrators in accessing student graduation data. The system built also aims to make it easier for the executive committee to manage assessment data from year to year and general students to find out the details of the value and archive of their graduation certificates. The API that was built is intended for institutions that want to integrate the admission selection system for the management with existing graduation data. To test whether the system being developed meets the needs, a REST API, functionality, compatibility and usability test is carried out. The success rate of the test is 100% valid. This system is acceptable and according to user requirements.

Abstract

A compound is a single substance composed of two or more elements that form chemical bonds. There are two types of compounds, namely active compounds and inactive compounds. Active compounds are compounds that have physiological effects on other organisms. In Indonesia, there are still many active compounds whose function is unknown. Therefore, a classification method is needed to help determine the function of the active compound. Classification is done with data written in SMILES notation. From the SMILES notation, features such as the number of atoms B, C, N, O, P, S, F, Cl, Br, I, OH, =, #, @, -, +, COC, C = C, are taken. O-], N +, C = O, and () go through the preprocessing process. Before being used for the classification process, all these features are divided by the length of the SMILES notation to get their value. This research was conducted to classify the function of active compounds by applying the Random Forest (RF) method with the SMILES data object with 4 classes of compound functions. RF was chosen because this method has almost no overfitting conditions, is able to handle data with many features, and this method is not affected by datasets that have missing values. The best accuracy resulted in testing with 4 class data is 69% and the best average in testing with the K-Fold Cross Validation method is 63%. Then, on the data with 3 classes of compound functions, the best accuracy is 76% and the best average in testing with the K-Fold Cross Validation method is 70%. Finally, testing data with 2 classes of compound functions produces the highest accuracy of 86% and the best average of 80%.
