Abstract

The research aims to mapping the tsunami-prone areas in Watulimo District using numerical simulation methods and spatial analysis as well as compiling tsunami response planning by determining shelters and evacuation routes in a participatory manner according to the characteristics of residents local wisdom of Watulimo District using weighting analysis and network analysis with ArcGIS. The most prone area to tsunami is Prigi Village because it has the lowest topography compared to the other two villages. Determination of shelter is carried out by considering the building function, number of floors, building area, building capacity, distance from the coastline, location from the road, and building construction. Public facilities with the number of floors >1 such as flat, trade facilities; religious facilities; educational facilities; government facilities; as well as health facilities in Watulimo District can be used as shelters during tsunami. Based on the analysis, the shelters obtained can accommodate the population in tsunami-prone areas. The evacuation route can be determined by considering the distance, road width, road conditions, road class, and travel time to obtain the fastest route from settlement to the nearest shelter. The evacuation routes that can be used in Watulimo District are the existing roads. However, there is a need for road repairs in damaged/ potholed road conditions, road widening, adding new roads to facilitate the evacuation process of disaster victims to the shelter, and carrying out routine road maintenance on roads that will be used as evacuation routes, so that these roads are always in good condition.

Abstract

Introduction: In the last 10 years, Mount Bromo has erupted four times; 2004, 2010, 2015 and 2019. However, it is unique that people at Tengger are reluctant to evacuate even though Mount Bromo is erupting and releasing volcanic material such as stones and dust. Methods: This research is a quantitative study, using correlative analytic observational design and cross sectional approach with pourposife sample of 120 taken from online questionare results of bivariate analysis using gamma correlation test obtained the results of knowledge factors (p=0.005; r=0.27) attitude (p=0.000; r=0.45), means of infrastructure (p=0.000; r=0.58), and android application (p=0.000; r=0.59) for health preparedness. Results: Knowledge, attitude, infrastructure and android application factors can influence health preparedness in disaster risk reduction in Bromo area.Using the smartphone application as the Mount Bromo information facilities are one of an effort so that people and tourists can activate if an eruption occurs. There is important health preparedness about features made in the application such as distribution shelters, evacuation routes, health centres, photos, videos, and primary health care information. Conclusion: Assessment results to the application interface, the information conveyed, and the features offered showed that the application was very useful and gives a new perspective in conveying accurate information to the public and also tourists. The health preparedness community level is also quite good with the services provided by the Bromo alert application.

Abstract

Many cases show that the condition of existing resources will cause problems for every educational institution. There are two possibilities; (1) If the number of teachers is lower than the ideal number, and (2) If the number of existing teachers exceeds the ideal number needed. Therefore, each institution must plan teacher needs with a scientific approach, both qualitative and quantitative. This study aims to plan teacher needs for the 2018/2019 school year at the International Standard Madrasah, Amanatul Ummah, Pacet, Mojokerto, East Java. The teacher planning used in this study is a trend analysis predicting the number of new students in 2018/2019 which will then be the basis for determining the number of study groups. Based on the number of study groups, it is then determined by the needs of teachers, especially those who are subject to national testing. The results showed that the composition of the teacher was needed, based on the basic and current needs of the trend analysis.

Abstract

Basically, curriculum management has three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The three stages of management are integrative which determine the success of the school curriculum. Curriculum management is one of the important components in an educational institution where curriculum management is very influential on the quality of education. Education is said to be of quality if it has succeeded in creating outputs whose results are in accordance with the goals that have been set. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning, implementation and evaluation of curriculum management in improving the quality of education at SMA Al-Azhar Menganti. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that curriculum planning begins with the formation of a quality assurance team that will prepare a context and SWOT analysis, then based on the results of the analysis a curriculum development team is formed which will compile curriculum documents at the education unit level. Implementation of the curriculum begins with socialization and training to teachers in preparing learning tools. then the evaluation process is carried out with learning supervision, teacher performance assessment, monthly evaluation and evaluation at the end of the school year.

Abstract

The city of Bandung is one part of the Greater Bandung Area which has been designated as a National Activity Center (PKN) which has a role as a collection and distribution center on international, national, and several provincial scales. This has resulted in a high level of development driven by the pace of the economy and population growth which continues to increase in the city of Bandung, resulting in an increase in the need for built-up land which is accompanied by a decrease in non-built land, especially green open space, so that it can affect the temperature and humidity of the air as well as the thermal comfort of the microclimate or temperature. This research aims to identify the distribution of THI as a measure of the level of thermal comfort in Bandung City. The approach is remote sensing, specifically utilizing Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS image processing for 2013 and 2023 on Google Earth Engine Software. The data processing process goes through several stages, including NDVI processing, land cover classification, surface temperature, and THI. After going through these stages, it was found that the distribution of temperature humidity index values in 2023 in Bandung City was dominated by the uncomfortable class (>26°C).

Abstract

This research uses logic model analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the HIPPA Program (Productive and Safe Rural Irrigation Revitalization Program) in Ngulanan Village. The main objectives of the research are to assess the program's compliance with the technical guidelines of P3TGAI in 2021 and to understand the impact of community participation on program effectiveness. The analytical method involves the formation of a logical framework that encompasses program stages and issues related to sanitation infrastructure, as well as evaluating program compliance based on established criteria. The research results indicate that approximately 53% of the program's success criteria have been met, but there is still room for improvement, especially regarding community participation and effective communication. The analysis also reveals disparities among stakeholders, which can affect community participation. Implementation factors such as a lack of effective communication and resource constraints are also obstacles to program implementation. Therefore, efforts are needed to enhance community participation, improve communication, and allocate resources more efficiently to enhance the effectiveness of the HIPPA Program in the future. The research concludes that evaluation adopting the technical guidelines of P3TGAI 2021 is an essential instrument in assessing and improving program quality, along with a commitment to providing a positive and sustainable impact for the Ngulanan Village community.

Abstract

Cengkir village stands out as a promising area for agricultural land conservation within Bojonegoro Municipality. Consequently, planning and developing water irrigation infrastructure in Cengkir village has become crucial to supporting agricultural activities. However, practical implementation of water irrigation often encounters numerous obstacles, mainly due to mismanagement and insufficient community participation. Therefore, understanding the farmers' perspectives on management and identifying key factors influencing it are essential for further improvement. Cengkir village offers a compelling case for exploration in this regard. This research aims to investigate farmers' views regarding agricultural irrigation management within the Association of Water User Farmers (Himpunan Petani Pemakai Air - HIPPA) in Cengkir Village.Additionally, this study evaluates the relationship among factors influencing farmers' views on agricultural irrigation management. So, to understand the important factors from this perspective, this study employs the Likert Scale's weighting technique. The weighting technique is followed by a non-parametric Spearman Rank Correlation test to define the relationships among the variables and the influencing factors. The findings reveal that farmers' perceptions regarding irrigation management are at a standard level. Moreover, a high correlation exists among factors such as formal education level, motivation, needs, experience in rice cultivation, information knowledge, social environment, support from related departments, and land area, with the perspectives of HIPPA community members towards agricultural irrigation.
