Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the e-Plantation system on employee performance through job satisfaction at PT. Source of Palm Mahardika. In particular, this study examines three main aspects: (1) the effect of the e-Plantation system on job satisfaction, (2) the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, and (3) the effect of the e-Plantation system on employee performance through job satisfaction. The population in this study is all employees of PT. Sumber Mahardika Sawit, which totals 45 people, with a working period of more than one year. Due to the limited population number, this study used a census method, in which the entire population was sampled. The data was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach with the help of Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of the study show that the e-Plantation system has a significant influence on employee job satisfaction, which in turn has a positive impact on employee performance. In addition, job satisfaction has been proven to be a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between the e-Plantation system and employee performance. Thus, the optimal implementation of the e-Plantation system can increase job satisfaction, which will further contribute to improving overall employee performance.

Abstract

Development in the agricultural sector in the context of supporting national food security is the main concern of the government. In this case the government has issued a policy to strengthen food security and anticipate extreme climate conditions that could disrupt national food production, namely by providing direct assistance policies in the form of distribution of subsidized fertilizers through farmer groups. The agricultural policy is contained in regulations and the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 106/Kpts/SR.130/2/2004 regarding subsidized fertilizer policies. The policy states that the reason for providing subsidized fertilizers is in the context of realizing a national food security program through increasing production of agricultural commodities. Farmers immediately respond either in purchasing or using subsidized fertilizers directly or indirectly. Based on this, this study aims to analyze what factors influence rice farmers' decisions to buy subsidized fertilizers in Jember Regency. Location determination using purposive sampling method, and the data used is primary data with interview techniques using a questionnaire. The analytical method used is by using Logistic Regression Analysis. The sampling method used is multistage sampling with certain considerations, namely incidental sampling. The results of logistic regression analysis showed that the independent variables had an influence on the dependent variable (the decision to buy subsidized fertilizer) in this study, namely income (X3), price of subsidized urea fertilizer (X6), and place of purchase (D9). While the variables Age (X1), Education (X2), Number of Family Members (X4), Land Area (X5), Price of Non-Subsidized Urea Fertilizer (X7), Access to Information (D8), Fertilizer Availability (D10) have no effect on the variable dependent (decision to buy subsidized fertilizer). The results of the analysis also show that the Nagelkerke R Square value is 0.533 or it can mean that the variability of the dependent variable can be explained by the variability of the independent variables of 53.3% and the remaining 46.7% is explained by the diversity of other variables outside the model. The conclusions of the research results are: 1) Factors that partially have a significant influence on farmers' decisions in buying subsidized fertilizer in Jember Regency based on the Wald test with a confidence level of 90% are income, price of subsidized urea fertilizer and place of purchase. Meanwhile, the factors that partially have an insignificant effect based on the Wald test are age, education, number of family members, land area, price of non-subsidized urea fertilizer, access to information and availability of fertilizer. Keywords: Attitude, Rice Farmer, Logistic Regression Analysis

Abstract

Mosques and Islamic study groups are two important institutions in Islamic education that have roots dating back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). However, in contemporary practice, their function is often limited to routine lectures without any innovation in curriculum or methods. This study aims to explore the transformation of mosque-based education and Islamic study groups through a library approach by examining primary sources (the Qur'an, hadith), academic literature, and recent research, particularly in East Kalimantan. The results of the study indicate that mosques and Islamic study groups can play a role as centers of lifelong learning through four main strategies: (1) expanding access to inclusive education for all groups; (2) developing a contextual curriculum that includes religious, digital, and socio-economic literacy; (3) implementing a blended learning model that combines face-to-face with digital platforms; and (4) strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships with universities, the government, and the community. The normative basis of QS. Al-'Alaq [96]:1, QS. At-Taubah [9]:18, and the Prophet's hadith regarding the obligation to seek knowledge emphasizes the relevance of this innovation to Islamic teachings. With the support of higher education institutions such as UINSI Samarinda, mosques and Islamic study groups in East Kalimantan have the potential to become centers of adaptive, moderate, and sustainable community-based Islamic education.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to examine the effect of provision of red pomegranate juice on the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and blood lactic acid in Wistar rats with maximum physical activity. The study employed a true experiment design. The pretest-posttest with control group design was done on 35 rats given maximum physical activity and treatment for 28 days. The rats were divided into 5 groups: the control group, group with treatment of multivitamin, group with treatment of red pomegranate 2 ml, 4 ml, and 6 ml. The MDA level was measured by TBARS method and lactic acid levels were analysed using ELISA. Comparison statistical analysis was done using paired t-test, while comparison of mean differences between treatment groups were tested using One-way ANOVA, and followed by LSD as the post hoc test. Provision of red pomegranate juice in a variety of doses significantly decreased the levels of MDA and blood lactic acid (p<0.05). The highest MDA level decrease occurred in the group treated with multivitamin (68.02%) and the highest decrease in the levels of blood lactic acid occurred in the group with 6 ml red pomegranate juice (25.94%). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that red pomegranate juice can lower the levels of MDA and blood lactic acid significantly in rats with maximum physical activity.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of transformational leadership style on employee performance and examines the role of work motivation as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used with path analysis based on Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The research sample consisted of 94 employees of PT PLN Nusantara Power Bukit Asam who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.656; T = 6,884; P = 0.000) and work motivation (β = 0.543; T = 5.429; P = 0.000). However, work motivation had no significant effect on performance (β = 0.198; T = 1,759; P = 0.079) and did not mediate the relationship between transformational leadership style and performance significantly (Z = 1.587; P = 0.112). These findings confirm that the direct influence of transformational leadership styles on employee performance is stronger than the indirect influence through work motivation.
