Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze learning methods and approaches within the Islamic educational tradition, and to assess their relevance in the contemporary educational context. Since its inception, Islamic education has developed learning methods that emphasize the integration of knowledge, morality, and spirituality, as seen through the practices of tahfizh (memorization of the Qur'an), talaqqi (recitation of the Qur'an), question and answer (Q&A), value instillation, and teacher role models. However, previous studies have tended to discuss traditional methods and modern approaches separately, thus lacking a comprehensive understanding of their relationship and integration. Through library research, data were obtained from accredited national journals, scientific books, and relevant academic sources, then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research results show that Islamic learning methods are dynamic and continuously evolving, characterized by the integration of classical methods and modern pedagogical approaches such as Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and humanistic learning. The role of teachers as role models (uswah) and facilitators is also a crucial factor in the successful internalization of values and character formation of students. This research confirms that the combination of classical and modern methods can produce an Islamic learning model that is holistic, contextual, and adaptive to the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are major public health problems that develop slowly and are often asymptomatic in the early stages. The Baduy community has limited access to modern health services, resulting in a lack of routine health screening. This community service activity aimed to conduct health screening through uric acid, blood sugar, and blood pressure examinations as an effort for early detection of NCDs in the Baduy community of Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Banten. The activity methods included preparation, health examinations, health education, and evaluation. A total of 17 community members participated in the activity. The results showed that 41.2% of participants had elevated uric acid levels, 11.8% had high blood sugar levels, and 47.1% had high blood pressure. This activity increased community awareness of the importance of routine health checks and provided an initial overview of NCD risk factors. Health screening combined with education is expected to contribute to the prevention of NCDs and improvement of community quality of life.

Abstract

Vektor merupakan salah satu konsep fundamental dalam matematika yang memiliki peranan penting dalam berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan, seperti fisika, teknik, ekonomi, dan ilmu terapan lainnya. Vektor digunakan untuk merepresentasikan besaran yang tidak hanya memiliki nilai (magnitudo), tetapi juga arah, sehingga sangat relevan dalam pemodelan berbagai fenomena alam dan permasalahan matematis. Dalam kajian matematika lanjutan, pemahaman mengenai operasi antar vektor dan integral vektor menjadi hal yang sangat penting, karena kedua konsep tersebut merupakan dasar dalam kalkulus vektor. Artikel ini membahas secara sistematis pengertian vektor, jenis-jenis operasi antar vektor, seperti penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dengan skalar, perkalian titik, dan perkalian silang, serta konsep integral vektor yang meliputi integral garis, integral permukaan, dan integral volume. Selain itu, artikel ini juga menguraikan penerapan operasi dan integral vektor dalam berbagai bidang, khususnya dalam penyelesaian masalah fisika dan teknik, seperti perhitungan kerja, fluks, dan medan gaya. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman konseptual yang lebih mendalam dan terstruktur mengenai operasi vektor dan integral vektor, sehingga dapat membantu mahasiswa, khususnya mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, dalam memahami materi kalkulus vektor secara teoritis maupun aplikatif. Diharapkan artikel ini dapat menjadi bahan referensi pembelajaran yang bermanfaat serta mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir analitis dan pemecahan masalah dalam matematika.

Abstract

This study focuses on the instructional practices of Kitab Kuning (classical Islamic texts) teaching at Pondok Pesantren Arabi Darul Yamani, located in Sasak Ranah Pasisie, Pasaman Barat Regency. The aim of this research is to describe the planning, instructional process, and evaluation methods employed by teachers who are graduates of the pesantren system. Utilizing a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested using triangulation. The findings reveal that in the planning phase, Kitab Kuning teachers who are graduates of the pesantren do not develop written learning objectives, curriculum mapping, or instructional tools such as lesson plans (RPP), syllabi, annual programs (Prota), or semester programs (Prosem). Instead, teachers rely on their understanding of the material and determine the extent of the syllabus coverage without systematic planning. In the instructional process, teachers conduct initial, core, and concluding activities with a considerable effort to achieve optimal results. Evaluation is carried out both in written and oral forms, at the end of the class sessions as well as after several meetings. These findings suggest that while the instructional and evaluative processes are generally well-implemented, there are notable shortcomings in the planning phase that could affect the overall effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Mothers in Bingkat Village have daily activities as housewives and participate with their husbands as farmers and livestock raisers, as well as social activities in village organizations and religion, not to mention activities to improve the family economy. Making loose powder for prickly heat from natural ingredients, such as nutmeg and lemongrass or other plants around the house is very easy, requires simple tools, is inexpensive, and has economic value. The target of this activity is to provide assistance in making loose powder for prickly heat and relieve itching and redness. Based on this, it is deemed necessary to provide assistance in making loose powder for prickly heat and relieve itching. Assistance is not only for production, but also includes good product packaging and counseling on marketing products made by the Bingkat Village community. This natural loose powder product has a selling value, so it is hoped that it can increase family income and welfare.

Abstract

Poverty remains a structural issue in Indonesia that demands sustained policy intervention, particularly in the education sector. One key poverty alleviation strategy emphasized by welfare states is the expansion of access to education. This study aims to analyze the urgency of reconstructing the compulsory education program from 12 to 13 years within the framework of legal principles and sustainable development. A normative juridical method was employed, utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings reveal that compulsory education represents the fulfillment of human rights as guaranteed by various national legal instruments, including Government Regulation No. 47 of 2008. The reconstruction of compulsory education to 13 years is viewed as a concrete effort by the state to reinforce its role in ensuring the right to education and its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education. The implementation of 13 years of compulsory education also holds strategic implications for preparing the 2045 Golden Generation by ensuring more inclusive and equitable access to education. Therefore, the expansion of compulsory education is not merely an educational policy, but also a structural instrument for building a more prosperous and competitive society.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a rechtstaat (rule of law) state, implicitly adopts the principles of a welfare state, one of which is reflected in the regulation of the national civil service system. Following the enactment of Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning State Civil Apparatus (UU ASN 2023), the management of civil servants has become more organized and adaptive to the needs of government institutions. However, this regulation presents normative issues, particularly for non-civil servant (non-PNS) lecturers at public universities. This study aims to examine the legal politics behind the enactment of UU ASN 2023 and its implications for the regulation of lecturers within the public higher education system. A normative juridical method was employed, utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that the legal politics of UU ASN 2023 are directed at reforming civil servant management to be more flexible and competitive, including in the recruitment of talent in the public sector. Nonetheless, the implementation of this regulation generates normative conflicts with Law Number 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers (UU Guru Dosen), particularly regarding the recognition of non-PNS lecturers in public universities. Therefore, in drafting implementing regulations for UU ASN 2023, the government should refer to UU Guru Dosen as lex specialis to ensure legal certainty and continuity for non-PNS lecturers. These findings underscore the importance of regulatory harmonization in the higher education sector to prevent legal uncertainty and to safeguard the professional rights of lecturers.

Abstract

Improper drug storage and disposal practices at the household level remain a public health problem. In Celikah Village, drugs are still found to be stored without regard for temperature, humidity, and expiration dates. This condition has the potential to pose health risks and environmental pollution due to the use of damaged or expired drugs. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and awareness regarding the correct management of household drugs based on the principle of Obtain, Use, Store, and Dispose of Drugs Properly (DAGUSIBU). The activity was carried out by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) of Kader Bangsa University, targeting 30 housewives and village health cadres. The implementation method included preparation, coordination with the village government and health workers, preparation of educational materials, and implementation of counseling through lectures, interactive discussions, and distribution of leaflets. Evaluation of the activity was carried out through observation and a question and answer session to assess participants' understanding of the material provided. The activity began with participation in a toddler posyandu (integrated health post) and continued with the delivery of material on how to obtain, use, store, and dispose of drugs safely and rationally. The results of the activity showed that before the education, there were still drug storage habits that did not meet standards. After the activity, participants were able to recognize the signs of damaged and expired medications and understand the importance of proper medication storage. This activity contributed to increasing public awareness as a preventative measure to prevent the use of inappropriate medications.
