Abstract

The development of mathematics e-worksheets focused on forming critical thinking skills for class VII students is still very minimally carried out by teachers. This research is critical to test the effectiveness of guided inquiry-based e-worksheets implemented using the blended learning method in improving students' critical thinking abilities. The type of research was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent pretest-post-test control group design involving two subjects: the experimental group that applied guided inquiry-based e-worksheets and the control group that used other e-worksheets. Each subject group consisted of 18 students from one of the Yogyakarta boarding schools, which became the research population. Research data came from pretest and post-test results collected using critical thinking test instruments developed based on indicators from Facione (2018). Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test followed by an independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis show: (1) there is a significant difference between the pretest and post-test results in the experimental group; (2) there is a significant difference between the results of students' critical thinking tests in the experimental and control groups; and (3) the difference in increasing critical thinking skills of students in the experimental group is higher than students in the control group. These results conclude that applying guided inquiry-based e-worksheets using the blended learning method is more effective than other e-worksheets when viewed from the aspect of increasing students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Peran teknologi informasi dalam penyusunan bank soal saat ini memang sangat dibutuhkan dan diharuskan. Mengingat di era sekarang teknologi menjadi pokok utama dalam berbagai aktivitas. Teknologi dapat mempermudah implementasi proses pembelajaran serta evaluasi yang berbasis literasi dan numerasi. Guru mempunyai peran yang esensial dan memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap kualitas pembelajaran, terutama pada era digitial pada saat ini. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh STKIP Kusuma Negara ini adalah untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi dan numerasi di sekolah dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran literasi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat pada era digital saat ini yang akan terus menerus dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi. Budaya literasi sendiri mempunyai hubungan dalam menumbuhkan minat membaca dan menulis anak pada pendidikan tingkat sekolah dasar.. Dalam menumbuhkan minat membaca, menulis dan berhitung, budaya literasi dan numerasi merupakan kunci terpenting dalam terealisasinya minat tersebut. Program pengabdian dilakukan secara kolaboratif oleh kelompok dosen dan mahasiswa. Subjek pengabdian ini adalah guru, calon guru SD dan mahasiswa yang telah mendaftar melalui google form. Hasil pengabdian yang diperoleh adalah meningkatnya pemahaman para guru, calon guru atau mahasiswa terkait pembelajaran literasi dan numerasi berbasis digital. Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan salah satu jenjang pendidikan paling dasar untuk tumbuh kembang anak. Guru yang melaksanakan pendidikan pada anak usia dini disyaratkan memiliki tingkat pendidikan dan kompetensi khusus dalam menyiapkan modul ajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Modul ajar sebaiknya dikembangkan sendiri oleh guru agar sesuai dengan konteks lingkungan dan kebutuhan belajar muridnya, hal ini tidak terkecuali untuk guru pada Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Dewasa ini setiap guru di hampir semua jenjang pendidikan diwajibkan untuk melek teknologi, terutama teknologi informasi. Selain untuk menunjang kegiatan pendidikan, melek teknologi informasi juga menunjang guru dalam menyelesaikan persoalan administrasi. Salah satu administrasi yang rutin dilakukan guru adalah membuat rapor bagi siswa-siswinya. Penggunaan perangkat Perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel memiliki banyak fitur dan fungsi yang dapat membantu dalam pembuatan rapor. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah masih kurang familiarnya fitur-fitur yang disediakan Microsoft Excel di sebagian pengguna. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah membuat modul ajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan ketrampilan dan pemahaman peserta meningkat terkait penggunaan perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru diketahui bahwa semua guru memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang terhadap komponen modul ajar, langkah-langkah penyusunan dan penggunaan excel dalam pembuatan rapor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran TPS lebih baik dari model pembelajaran TAI terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII pada materi Lingkaran di SMP Islam Plus Mardhotillah Jakarta Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (Quasy Experimental) yang dilakukan dengan memberikan dua perlakuan yang berbeda, satu menggunakan model pembelajaran TPS dan satu lainnya menggunakan model pembelajaran TAI.Hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran TPS mempunyai rata-rata 76.80, sedangkan dengan model pembelajaran TAI mempunyai rata-rata 67.90. Adapun hasil analisisnya diperoleh thitung sebesar 3.32 dan ttabel sebesar 1.6795, maka thitung lebih besar dari ttabel dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan = 41. Dengan demikian diperoleh hasil bahwa Ho ditolak, sehingga model pembelajaran TPS lebih baik dari model pembelajaran TAI terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII pada materi Lingkaran di SMP Islam Plus Mardhotillah Jakarta Timur. Abstract

Taiwan's rapid development in education is evidenced by its high ranking in the 2022 PISA assessment, making it an attractive destination for international students. National Dong Hwa University, particularly its Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), has become popular among these students. This study focuses on the impact of integrating local and international students in calculus courses, a required subject, due to the close relationship between mathematics and computer science. The study sampled 14 international and 14 local first-year students, collecting data through questionnaires to assess their self-confidence, communication skills, and motivation. At the same time, academic performance was measured through midterm exam scores. The findings revealed significant differences in academic performance, self-confidence, and communication between local and international students, with p-values of .024*, .016*, and .012*, respectively. Among international students, self-confidence and communication were significantly correlated with academic performance (p=.013* and p=.026*), while for local students, a significant relationship was found between scores and communication (p=.035*).

Abstract

Limbah pasar merupakan hal yang dapat memberikan dampak negatif pada lingkungan jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut maka perlu suatu upaya pengelolaan untuk menghasilkan produk yang dapat bermanfaat. Pengolahan limbah pasar terutama limbah sayuran hendaknya dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan lahan yang sempit mengingat sulitnya mencari lahan di kota besar saat ini. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh ibu-ibu warga di sekitar lingkungan sanggar anak KABASA BekasiKecamatan Bekasi Jaya, Bekasi Timur yang mayoritas dari mereka merupakan ibu rumah tangga, pedagang dan pemulung. Melalui inovasi ini diharapkan ibu-ibu mendapatkan kegiatan baru yang dapat menghasilkan uang karena produk yang mereka hasilkan dapat dijual. Pembuatan pupuk cair dan pupuk kompos dari limbah pasar yang berupa sampah sayuran diolah dengan penambahan bioaktivator EM4 (Effective Microorganisms) bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh waktu pembuatan terhadap kandungan N, P, K, dan C dalam pupuk organik cair, serta menentukan pengaruh bioaktivator EM4 terhadap kandungan N, P, K, dan C dalam pupuk organik cair.

Abstract

Poor mathematical communication skills and motivation are influenced by several factors, such as the use of learning models used by teachers in learning. The use of appropriate learning models can improve students’ mathematical communication skills and motivation. This study aimed to determine the effect of the discussion learning model using Google Classroom and Google Form on students' mathematical communication in terms of students’ learning motivation. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the discussion learning model using Google Classroom provided better communication skills than the learning model using Google Form, (2) there was no difference in the effect of learning motivation on students' mathematical communication, and (3) there was no interaction between learning model and learning motivation towards students' mathematical communication skills. Further research is needed to develop learning models using Google Classroom and Google Form by taking into account the characteristics of other students that are adjusted to the school curriculum.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to investigate the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement in Mathematics viewed from the spatial ability of the students. This research used the quasi experimental research method with the factorial design of 3 x 3. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data of the research were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells.The results of the research are as follows.1) The cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the cooperative learning model of the TAI type and the direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the conventional learning model.2) The learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the high spatial ability was better than that of the students with the moderate and low spatial abilities, and the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the moderate spatial ability was better than that of the students with the low spatial ability. 3) There was an interaction the aforementioned learning models and the categories of the spatial ability on the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of mathematics are not appropriate thought of learning models in the classroom. Therefore, the NHT and TPS learning models can be applied to improve the learning of outcomes of the student. This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes using the NHT learning model with the TPS learning model. The sampling technique is used as a random sampling cluster with 2 groups of experiments for the first experimental group  (classroom view of TPS model) and the second experimental group (classes of NHT modeling). The instrument of this research uses the test of mathematics learning result. The hypothesis test is used  T-Test. The conclusion of research that are differences in the outcomes of the two learning models (NHT and TPS) on learning outcomes, based on the marginal mean of the TPS learning model is better learning outcomes than the NHT learning model.

Abstract

The students' mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication abilities are influenced by several factors such as the use of learning models used by teachers in learning. The use of appropriate learning models can increase students' mathematical communication abilities and reasoning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Accelerated Learning Cycle, Brain-based learning model and Direct Instruction learning models on students' mathematical reasoning abilities seen from their communication abilities. This is a quasi-experimental research. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance with unequal cells. This study concludes that, first, Accelerated Learning Cycle provides better mathematical reasoning abilities than the Brain-based learning model and the Direct Instruction learning model and Brain-based learning model provide better mathematical reasoning abilities than the Direct Instruction learning model. Second, students who have high mathematical communication abilities have better mathematical reasoning than students with moderate or low mathematical communication abilities, students who have medium communication abilities have better mathematical reasoning than students with low mathematical communication abilities
