Abstract

AbstractTourism has become one of the sectors contributing to the country's economic growth. In order for tourism to be sustainable, community participation is needed in its management,  one of them is the role of customary institutions. This qualitative study aims to categorizing the types of tourism in Aceh and analyze the roles and obstacles of "Panglima Laot"as a Traditional institution that has the authority regulate maritime affairs in local wisdom in Aceh Province. Data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation studies, in the form of collecting and analyzing from several relevant reports, data, articles and journals. The results showed that tourism in Aceh Province can be categorized as seven types, namely: religious tourism, indigenous and cultural tourism, historical tourism, nature tourism, marine tourism, pilgrimage tourism and culinary tourism. The role of “Panglima Laot” is very important in the sustainability of marine tourism in Aceh Province. Because this institution is a recognized and respected existence by the fishing community to regulate and implement marine customary law and other maritime affairs.  However, in carrying out their duties there are various obstacles, including the development of human resource capacity, budget and regional boundaries. Therefore we need support from the government for the strengthening of the “Panglima Laot”  Institution in managing marine tourism and maintaining the survival of marine ecosystems in Aceh Province. Keywords: Panglima Laot, customary institutions, Marine Tourism

Abstract

This study aims at exploring the roles of educators in conducting teaching learning activity during disruptive era. The method used in this study was the Literature Review by searching articles on electronic journals database. The database used in this study were Google Scholars, Springer and Science Direct from 2003 to 2018. 10 articels were found using keyword: The roles of educator, teaching and learning activities and disruptive era. The data were analized by collecting the related articles, reducing it based on the discussion topic, displaying the data and last but not the least, taking the conclusion. The result of this study found that the shifting of educational paradigm requires the adoption of the roles of educators in conducting teaching learning process in disruptive era.  In terms of the role of educators, there are some shifting of the role of educators in the disruptive era; the role of educators as conceptor, innovator, facilitator and innovator/ role model. This study describes some phenomenon of educational paradigm and the roles of educators in Indonesia. It is urged that further study on this issue is carried out in more global context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe why the role of the principal in self-development of students through extracurricular activities at MIN 1 Bener Meriah, and to describe the role of  the principal in self-development of students through extracurricular activities at MIN 1 Bener Meriah. This study is a qualitative type using observational, interviews and documentation, data analysis using triangulation theory. Based on the results of the research: the role of the principal is very important in the self-development of students at MIN 1 Bener Meriah. Among these roles are (1) educator: teaching with teacher intermediaries, (2) manager: managing with POAC even though the field is narrow, (3) administrators: take care of correspondence and funding for extracurricular activities, (4) supervise extracurricular activities through joint meetings and direct involvement, (5) leaders: mobilize involved teachers and students in extracurricular activities, (6) innovator: Principals make reforms such as creative guel dance (7) motivator: the principal provides encouragement in the form of words and gifts for students who excel, including in extracurricular activities. So that the role of the principal is done well, it will also have a good impact on the development of students in the extracurricular program.

Abstract

The laboratory is a facility for supporting Education, Research, and development purposes. the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine science consists of 3 specific majors, Management of Fishery Resources, Utilization of Fisheries and Marine Resources, and Fisheries Socio-Economics. Each departments provides several laboratories. In laboratory administration management, such as inventory of tools and materials, scheduling, borrowing and monitoring are still done with conventional method using excel spreadsheet documentation and loan master book. So that there are several obstacles such as the lack of information on specifications and conditions of tools and materials, the differentiation of the data held by the laboratory assistant with the head of the laboratory, the laboratory assistant must scan for one by one from all loan forms when students do free laboratory and return tools. Based on this findings, so that laboratory management can run well, a laboratory management information system is needed that can solve problems of inventory, scheduling, borrowing, archiving and monitoring laboratory activities. The process of analysis and design of laboratory management information systems is carried out using the Ripple method and using the Problem Pyramid method in the analysis phase. The results of the needs analysis are illustrated with activity diagrams, user interface sketches and use case diagrams. While the results of the design are described with class diagrams, communication diagrams, sequence diagrams and database schema. The results of analysis and design testing using consistency analysis with the results of the Requirement Consistency Index is 100% which shows that all elements of the requirements have been defined consistently and the traceability matrix test shows the traceability of each requirement.

Abstract

The implementation of entrepreneurship course can be carried out by integrating the tridharma of higher education (the threefold missions of higher education) simultaneously in learning, for which a guideline is needed for its implementation. This study aims to design and assess the Islamic Entrepreneurship Education (IEE) model in the tridharma in Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI) in Aceh. This research was conducted through Design-Based Research (DBR) involving 3 experts and 6 lecturers. The research instrument used was a questionnaire which was analyzed statistically descriptively, while the qualitative data used interviews and were analyzed with an interactive model. The results of the design of the IEE model has produced three aspects along with four elements for the dimensions of education and teaching, research, and community service. These three aspects are inter-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, and extra-curricular activities, while the four elements are the objectives of implementing entrepreneurship education learning activities, entrepreneurial learning materials/content, using entrepreneurship learning methods, and implementing evaluations of entrepreneurship learning. The design of this model has the description for the implementation procedure. This design of IEE model can be used by lecturers as a model for implementing IEE in Islamic Religious Universities.

Abstract

The purpose of this service-based research is to design the mentoring of mudabbir-mudabbirah in the care of santri with a mau'idhah hasanah approach in dayah of boarding school. The research method used is research and development based on Sugiyono which refers to the theory of Borg and Gall and takes three (3) steps; potential and problems, data collection and activity design. The data were analyzed in a qualitative descriptive. The results of the service-based research of mudabbir mudabbirah mentoring in nurturing santri with mau'idhah hasanah were carried out using a five-stage frame of reference; input, activities, output, purpose and goal.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic law in Aceh had impact for the existence of non-Muslim minority groups. Even though they are guaranteed freedom to worship, harmony and protected, and can live side by side with the Aceh society, on the other hand, they are also feeling the impact of sharia. These implications are experienced by Christian women, not only among civil groups, but also police institutions. This article aims to complement the shortcomings of previous research, by mapping the relationships that existed between Muslim and non-Muslim groups in Aceh during the implementation of Islamic sharia. The research question is, how do these implications occur and why public space is limited for them. This research was conducted in Banda Aceh involving six informants and some were women, civil society groups and several police institutions, namely three Christian policewomen, through in-depth interviews and using several references related to the research subject. The results of the study indicated that, first, there are social spaces that have an impact on non-Muslim groups because they live in areas of Islamic sharia that require them to receive these regulations, such as the obligation to wear the veil for students, teachers and policewomen in police agencies. Then, there are limited facilities for worship, including for policewomen to provide spiritual guidance. Apart from that, there is little access to public space in government, which occurs among non-Muslim minority children who would like to develop their talents, as well as employees and in police agencies who could not develop their careers perfectly. This happens because they cannot have opportunities like the people of Aceh who are the "hosts". In this case, the government must be able to harmonize laws, including for minority groups in Aceh. It is hoped that the results of this research could adding references regarding the importance of increasing awareness and fostering the values of tolerance.

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan hasil, kemajuan dan prestasi kerja guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, baik dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dan mengevaluasi hasil pembelajaran, melakukan bimbingan dan latihan terhadap peserta didik, serta komitmennya dalam melaksanakan tugas. Baik tidaknya kinerja guru dapat dilihat dari pelaksanaan kompetensi-kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh guru disamping memiliki kualifikasi akademik. Peningkatan kinerja guru terus dilakukan oleh pemerintah dengan berbagai upaya, baik melalui program sertifikasi guru, melakukan pengembangan kurikulum nasional dan lokal, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan, pengadaan buku dan alat pelajaran, pengadaan dan perbaikan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan dan peningkatan mutu manajemen sekolah. kinerja guru yang berkualitas akan berpengaruh pada mutu pembelajaran, mutu lulusan, mutu pendidikan dan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan.

Abstract

Balai pengajian Ummi Gampong Aree adalah lembaga pendidikan Islam non formal bagi anak-anak yang telah berpartisipasi membangun generasi masa depan dan telah memenuhi kriteria serta telah menunjukkan diri sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang berhasil dan unggul di daerah. Fokus penelitian ini, yaitu: bagaimana profil balai pengajian Ummi Gampong Aree. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian yaitu Balai Pengajian Ummi Gampong Aree Kecamatan Delima Kabupaten Pidie. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian Balai pengajian Ummi Gampong Aree adalah sebuah balai pengajian yang memiliki 357 santri dengan jumlah tenaga pengajar 26 orang. Sejak balai ini didirikan telah meluluskan ratusan santri yang berkualitas dalam ilmu agama Islam terutama hafiz dan kaligrafer berprestasi baik di tingkat kabupaten maupun provinsi. Balai ini memiliki keunikan tersendiri, dipimpin oleh seorang perempuan, Hj Nurasyiah yang hanya pernah mengenyam pendidikan sekolah rakyat, namun mampu mempertahankan eksistensi balai dalam waktu yang panjang dan kini mengalami perkembangan pesat. Hal ini tentu saja mematahkan sinyalemen bahwa pemimpin perempuan lemah dalam kepemimpinan. Keunikan lain dari balai favorit ini memiliki usaha tersendiri yang hasilnya digunakan untuk operasional balai. Kondisi ini jarang ditemukan di balai pengajian bahkan dalam konteks dayah sekalipun. Di samping itu, anak yatim dan fakir miskin yang belajar di balai ini dibebaskan dari iuran bulanan. Sisi lain yang tidak kalah unik adalah adanya ‘kelas kaget’. Kelas ini menampung anak-anak usia 15 tahun ke atas yang ingin belajar di balai tanpa sepengetahuan orang tuanya. Santri kelas ini tidak terdaftar sebagai santri balai, karena mereka biasanya datang dan pergi secara dadakan dengan kesadaran sendiri, namun tetap mendapat pelayanan pendidikan sebagaimana kelas lainnya setiap malam. Jumlah kehadiran santri ‘kelas kaget’ tidak dapat diprediksi.
