Abstract

Desa Gresik termasuk  wilayah  yang berbatasan langsung Negara Malaysia, sehingga warga negara dituntut untuk memiliki loyalitas demi menjaga keutuhan Negara Republik Indonesia. Namun, kondisi sosial-ekonomi di perbatasan yang terpuruk mengakibatkan masyarakat setempat tergantung kepada negara tetangga. Pada gilirannya, ketergantungan kepada negara tetangga itu mengakibatkan rasa cinta tanah air masyarakat tersebut mengalami penurunan.Masyarakat Desa Gresik lebih banyak berinteraksi dengan warga di negara tetangga dan terpesona oleh uang ringgit, siaran TV dan radio, akses telepon dan transportasi, serta modal usaha yang lebih mudah diperoleh dari Malaysia. Adanya Permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya sosialisasi untuk menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air yang ditanamkan pada generasi muda terutama di daerah perbatasan.Implementasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi beberapa metode yaitu sesi sosialisasi rasa cinta tanah air yang diisi dengan pemaparan materi, sesi penayangan Film bernuansa Bela Negara, dan Sesi Kuis. Kegiatan ini diharapakan dapat menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air masyarakat desa Gresik.

Abstract

The activities dedicated to the community for environmental management and empowerment of communities through the development of tourism potential are implemented by partnering up the PKK suport team, the domestic chairman and the weal community.  It aims to give understanding, khowledge, and empower societies to realize a society conscious of a tourist environment that must be maintained and preserved.  These environmental management and community empowerment activities are done by methods of speech, discussion, question-and-answer, and demonstration. The benefits of this activity includes; (1) Together people build tourist areas (2) It grows and increases people’s sense of and cares for the beautiful of Batu Burung, (3) To encourage people to participate in the preservation of Batu Burung,  (4) Assisting the goverment program to promote tourist areas aspecially Batu Burung sites that are still not widely known by outside Sedau society, and (5) provides services that can enable visitors to know where Batu Burung is located and provide products fo garbage diposal on Batu Burung Beach..

Abstract

The level of education of the people is still low and the number of illiterates and Arabic letters for the Muslim community is still high. There are still many people in Gresik Village in Jagoi Babang District who cannot read Hijaiyah letters. Conditions that occur in a society consisting of age -up and children. In order to eradicate the illiteracy of the Hijaiyah letters , various methods are carried out so that it is easy and can be learned or understood by every Muslim who has not been able to read the Holy Qur'an,. Effort undertaken to face these challenges include the illiteracy eradication program for people who already have a low level of formal education. Therefore, one of the initial steps done is to implement a program of socialization eradication Arabic letters on the community, especially the W arga Coarse sand . Activity is more effectively facilitate Villagers Coarse sand in order to foster interest for who can not read the letters hijaiyah mempelaj ari how to read the Quran. The objectives of the PKM-M program include eradicating Arabic illiteracy, increasing insight andknowledge, increase the ability and awareness of self potential in the community of Gresik Village and provide motivation for Hijaiyah letters. The implementation of community service includes several methods, namely lectures, questions and answers, practice and evaluation. with the socialization of a good impact on the understanding of the letter hijaiyah and foster interest in reading al-Quran with easier-aided guidance . the conclusion of the activity had a good impact on the understanding of hijaiyah letters from the people of Gresik Village. With the community service activities of STKIP Singkawang, the people of Gersik Village felt helped.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pesawat sederhana. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitian pre-experiment dan rancangan one group pre-test post-test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP kota Singkawang, sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 25 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur tes berupa 15 soal pilihan ganda tentang pemahaman konsep yang sebelumnya diujicobakan terlebih dahulu. Hasil analisis data test pemahaman konsep menggunakan persamaan N-gain, peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa sebesar 0,65 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Asoka Singkawang Selatan. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan Pre-Experimental Design dengan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas VII. Sampel penelitian yang diambil menggunakan Sampling jenuh maka didapat kelas VII yang berjumlah 20 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan lembar angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan model pembelajaran kontekstual telah dilaksanakan dengan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 65,95 terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi jajargenjang sebesar 0,43 yang berkriteria sedang. Ketuntasan siswa diperoleh sebesar 75% dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang, dan respon siswa menunjukkan kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 93,84%. Dengan demikian secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis melalui model pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi jajargenjang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Jawai Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini digunakan adalah kuantitatif, bentuk penelitian yang digunakan Pre-Experimental Design dengan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah semua kelas VII yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian yang diambil menggunakan Simple Random Sampling maka di dapat kelas VII C dengan jumlah siswa 29 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa tes uraian yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik soal pemahaman konsep dan telah diuji menggunakan validasi isi dan realibilitas, lembar observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Hasil perhitungan aktivitas dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT menunjukkan sebesar 88,59% dengan kriteria baik sekali. Hasil perhitungan angket respon siswa untuk pernyataan positif  yang memilih Sangat Setuju dan Setuju sebesar 84,83%, sedangkan yang memilih Ragu-Ragu, Tidak Setuju dan Sangat Tidak Setuju sebesar 15,17%. Untuk pernyataan negatif yang memilih Sangat Tidak Setuju) dan Tidak Setuju sebesar 80,00%, sedangkan yang memilih Ragu-Ragu, Setuju, dan Sangat Setuju sebesar 20,00%. Jadi secara keseluruhan siswa memberikan respon yang positif terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas hakikat sains (the nature of science) dan keterbatasan sains (limitation of science) yang lebih dikhususkan pada fisika. Hakikat fisika terdiri atas fisika sebagai proses dan fisika sebagai produk. Produk fisika diantaranya adalah fakta, data, konsep, hukum, prinsip, aturan, teori dan model. Fisika sebagai aktivitas (proses) riset dan pengkajian dengan menggunakan metode ilmiah yang mengandalkan keterampilan-keterampilan proses (observasi, berhipotesis, eksperimentasi, dan sebagainya). Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan kajian literatur filsafat. Filsafat ilmu berusaha menjelaskan hakekat ilmu fisika yang mempunyai banyak keterbatasan, sehingga dapat diperoleh pemahaman yang padu mengenai berbagai fenomena alam yang telah menjadi objek ilmu fisika itu sendiri, dan yang cenderung terfragmentasi. Untuk itu filsafat ilmu berperan dalam menghindarkan diri dari memutlakkan kebenaran ilmiah, dan menganggap bahwa ilmu sebagai satu-satunya cara memperoleh kebenaran. Dengan filsafat melatih berfikir radikal tentang hakekat ilmu dan menghidarkan diri dari egoisme ilmiah, yakni tidak menghargai sudut pandang lain di luar bidang ilmunya, serta dengan berfilsafat melatih berfikir reflektif di dalam lingkup ilmu.Kata Kunci:  Hakikat Fisika; Eksperimen Fisika; Keterampilan Proses Sains; Keterbatasan Sains.

Abstract

Students’ competence to utilize digital technology to access information as learning sources has become a necessity as experienced during the covid-19 pandemic. Students should have the digital literacy competence to support the students’ learning processes. This research was conducted to reveal the digital competence levels covering internet searching, hypertextual navigation, content evaluation, and knowledge assembly based on activities made by the students of Junior High Schools in Singkawang. The samples were selected using a proportional random sampling technique and 75 respondents were selected representing the students of Junior High Schools in Singkawang. The collected data were then processed using a descriptive statistical analysis with a quantitative approach. The statistical test was conducted using mini-step Program with Rasch modeling to measure the students’ digital literacy competence levels at Junior High Schools in Singkawang. The research results showed that the digital literacy competence level test measuring instrument was considered valid and reliable. The digital literacy competence level with high logit value of +3.78 logit also showed high problem-solving competence level. The students’ digital literacy competence level based on activities was classified into high category. Meanwhile, the activities made by the students included 5M: searching and selecting information (M1), managing information (M2), analyzing information (M3), utilizing information (M4), and sharing information (M5).

Abstract

The Digital era is a period or Era where almost all fields in the order of life have been assisted by digital technology. In the context of education, digital competence can be interpreted as the use of technology in a convincing, appropriate, and safe way to achieve learning and educational goals. The research objective is to reveal the digital literacy skills of Singkawang City Junior High School students through 5M activities to support independent learning. The research method uses a quantitative approach. Researchers directly collect this study's source of data from the original subject, namely junior high school (SMP) students. This research was conducted in a junior high school in Singkawang City. The population of this study was as straight as junior high school students from grades VII-VIII from the age of 12 to 15 years, totaling 125. The sampling technique is probability sampling, namely area (cluster) sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a test question. The instrument used to measure the variable of students' digital literacy ability was previously tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis technique to test research questions with ANOVA test with sig.0.05. The study results showed that the significant value data for each school was greater than 0.05, which means that the data is normally distributed. The five variants of the five schools that represent the population are the same (homogeneous). Digital literacy skills using 5M activities positively impact the learning process to support independent learning. There is a difference in the average digital literacy ability of junior high school students in Singkawang City after being given planting using 5M activities with a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05. But the results obtained by each school is different, but the results are still in the very good category

Abstract

This research aims to determine the decrease in the quantity of students who have misconceptions about Archimedes' law material after the CLIS learning model has been implemented, determine student responses to the CLIS learning model that has been implemented, and determine the implementation of learning activities using the CLIS model. The research was carried out using quantitative methods. The population in this research was all students of class XI IPA MAN 1 Singkawang. The data in the research was obtained by giving sheets to the students. The instruments used were a TTT sheet consisting of 10 questions, a student response sheet with 9 questions, an observation sheet on the implementation of the CLIS learning model. Based on the results of the analysis of students' misconceptions, the highest decrease was in the concept "Objects sink in water because objects are heavier than water" namely 64.2% in the medium category. Student response to the CLIS learning model was 85% in the positive category. The implementation of the CLIS learning model is 100% with all activities carried out in the category. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementing CLIS can reduce the quantity of students who have misconceptions.
