Abstract

This study aims to develop assessment instruments in basic education within a master’s degree program with a focus on improving student competencies. The methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE approach, specifically targeting the evaluation stage. Data were collected through a Likert scale in the form of posttest evaluations of 25 master’s students in Basic Education. Results indicated an average posttest score of 73.41, with variance reflecting student achievement diversity. Most students demonstrated a good understanding across knowledge, attitude, and skill aspects. Hypothesis analysis utilizing a one-sample t-test revealed significance at p=0.000, indicating a significant positive effect on students’ ability to construct assessment instruments. In conclusion, the appropriate use of evaluative teaching materials can enhance pedagogical competencies, supporting the development of educational quality at the postgraduate level.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian dalam pendidikan dasar pada program S-2 dengan fokus pada peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE yang dikhususkan pada tahap evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala Likert berupa penilaian posttest terhadap 25 mahasiswa S-2 Pendidikan Dasar. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 73,41, dengan varians yang mencerminkan variasi dalam pencapaian mahasiswa. Sebagian besar mahasiswa menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik dalam aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Analisis hipotesis menggunakan one-sample t-test menunjukkan signifikansi p=0,000, menandakan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan bahan ajar evaluasi yang tepat dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis mahasiswa, mendukung pengembangan kualitas pendidikan di jenjang pascasarjana.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)–based Student Worksheet (LKPD) assisted by Wordwall media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in science learning, focusing on the aspects of focus, reason, and inference. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the research involved an experimental group using PBL-based LKPD with Wordwall and a control group receiving conventional instruction. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, while instrument validation included expert judgment, Aiken’s V analysis, reliability testing, empirical validation, item difficulty, and discrimination analysis. The prerequisite normality and homogeneity tests indicated non-normal and non-homogeneous data, leading to the use of nonparametric statistical analyses. The Mann–Whitney test results showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups across all three aspects of critical thinking, with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. N-Gain scores demonstrated high effectiveness in the experimental group (Focus = 96.70%, Reason = 87.90%, Inference = 79.30%), whereas the control group showed only moderate improvement. Correlation analysis using Spearman’s rank test further revealed very strong correlations among the Focus, Reason, and Inference dimensions. The findings conclude that the PBL-based LKPD assisted by Wordwall media is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills and supports more engaging, interactive, and student-centered science learning in elementary classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Liveworksheet to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE development model. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 22 Rejang Lebong, with Class VA serving as the trial class and Class VB as the experimental class. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis involved qualitative and quantitative techniques. The findings show that: (a) the E-LKPD validation results by material, language, and graphic experts ranged from0.67 to 1.00, indicating valid to highly valid categories; (b) the test instrument validation results by material, language, and construction experts ranged from 0.72 to 0.90, also categorized as valid to highly valid; and (c) teacher and student responses were highly positive, with teacher response percentages ranging from 67% to 100% and student responses from 87% to 93%. The average N-gain score of the experimental class was 0.8 (80.9%), indicating a high level of effectiveness. Therefore, the PBL-based E-LKPD assisted by Liveworksheet is declared valid, feasible, and effective for use as an instructional material to improve students’cognitive learning outcomes in the ecosystem topic, particularly the food-chain subtopic.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a science electronic student worksheet based on the guided inquiry model assisted by Liveworksheets on the topic of the properties of light for fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method. The research subjects consisted of 20 students from Class VA as the trial group and 20 students from Class VB as the effectiveness-testing group at SDN 54 Bengkulu Tengah. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, tests, observations, and documentation. Instrument validity was analyzed using Aiken’s V index. The results showed that the developed product, a guided inquiry-based science e-Worksheet assisted by Liveworksheets, consisted of three main sections: the introductory section (cover page, preface, table of contents, learning outcomes, and learning objectives), the content section, and the closing section (glossary, references, and author profile). The feasibility test indicated that the material aspect achieved a validity score of 0.83–1.00 (very valid) with 75% reliability (strong), the language aspect achieved a validity score of 0.83–1.00 (very valid) with 75% reliability (strong), and the design aspect achieved a validity score of 0.83–1.00 (very valid) with 67% reliability (strong). User responses reached 92%, categorized as very attractive, comprising material (97%), language (85%), and graphics (93%). The effectiveness test using the N-Gain analysis yielded an average score of 0.7801, which falls into the high category. Therefore, the guided inquiry-based science e-Worksheet assisted by Liveworksheets was found to be effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop, evaluate the feasibility, determine user responses, and examine the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based electronic student worksheet (e-LKPD) on the human digestive system to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects included material experts, language experts, graphic design experts, fifth-grade teachers, and fifth-grade students of SDN 20 Bengkulu Tengah. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and critical thinking tests administered as pretests and posttests. The developed e-LKPD consisted of a title, learning instructions, learning outcomes, human digestive system materials, supporting information, problem-based tasks, and critical thinking assessments. The validation results indicated that the e-LKPD had an excellent level of feasibility, with Aiken’s V values of 1.00 for the material and graphic aspects (very valid) and 0.50–0.67 for the language aspect (valid). Reliability testing showed an agreement percentage of 100% for the material and graphic aspects and 60% for the language aspect. Teacher and student responses were categorized as good, indicating that the e-LKPD was practical for classroom use. The effectiveness test results showed an increase in students’ average scores from 68 in the pretest to 80 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.38, which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, the developed PBL-based science e-LKPD was found to be valid, practical, and effective in improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low descriptive-writing skills of fourth-grade students and the limited availability of teaching materials integrating an active learning model with local cultural content. This research aimed to describe the characteristics, feasibility, user responses, and profile of students' descriptive-writing skills after using Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Tabot Bengkulu, supported by an infographic dashboard. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, covering the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Participants consisted of six validators, one fourth-grade teacher, and 18 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 60 Bengkulu Tengah. Data were collected through interviews, observation, expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and descriptive-writing assessments, then analyzed using Aiken's V and inter-rater reliability formulas. Results showed that the developed material integrates the RADEC syntax, Tabot Bengkulu local wisdom, and an infographic dashboard as the main visual medium. The material was declared highly valid, with Aiken's V scores of 0.89 for material, 0.873 for language, and 0.92 for graphic design. Teacher and student responses were very positive, reaching 100% and 98% respectively. The average descriptive-writing score of the effectiveness class reached 84.0, higher than the trial class score of 67.4, a gain of 16.6 points. These findings indicate that the RADEC teaching material based on Tabot Bengkulu local wisdom and supported by an infographic dashboard is valid, practical, and effective for improving descriptive writing skills while supporting deep learning among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low narrative-writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 77 Kota Bengkulu, where the student worksheets (LKPD) used were still conventional, containing only ordinary essay questions without a structured writing process, and the learning media applied were static and unattractive. Curriculum analysis further revealed that the teacher's lesson plans had not been fully aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum's Learning Outcomes. Consequently, students experienced difficulties determining themes, arranging outlines, applying correct spelling, constructing sentence structures, and maintaining text coherence. This research aimed to develop a gamified Think Talk Write (TTW) student worksheet supported by a Shiny Dashboard for writing historical narrative texts about the Red-and-White Flag, and to describe its characteristics, feasibility, user response, and effect on students' narrative-writing profile. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Subjects were 40 fifth-grade students, divided into class VA as a limited-trial group (n = 20) and class VB as the main research class (n = 20), selected through total sampling. Data were collected through curriculum analysis, interviews, expert-validation sheets, response questionnaires, and a narrative-writing test, analyzed using Aiken's V validity index, inter-rater reliability, and percentage analysis. Results showed the product was highly valid, with Aiken's V of 1.00 for material, 0.95 for language, and 0.88 for graphic aspects. The practicality test indicated very high user acceptance, with a student response of 97.5% and a positive teacher response. Students' narrative-writing profile reached an average of 89% with 100% classical mastery, confirming the product is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the characteristics, determine the validity, examine the practicality, and analyze the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) on ecosystem topics in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, covering the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects comprised expert validators for material, language, and graphic design, a fifth-grade teacher, and 21 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 42 Kota Bengkulu. Data were collected through interviews, needs-analysis questionnaires, expert validation sheets, learning-implementation observation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and a cognitive learning achievement test administered as a pretest and posttest, then analyzed using Aiken's V, Inter-rater Reliability (IR), response percentage, and the N-Gain test. The results showed that the developed E-LKPD integrates the syntax of Problem-Based Learning into digital learning through Liveworksheet, comprising problem orientation, organizing students, individual and group investigation, presenting findings, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process, aligned with the Learning Outcomes of Phase C in the Merdeka Curriculum. Expert validation on material, language, and graphic design obtained Aiken's V values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00, categorized as moderate to highly valid, with an inter-rater reliability of 100% (near-perfect agreement) on all three aspects. Teacher and student responses reached 90% each, categorized as very good, with 100% implementation of the PBL syntax. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 18.92% in the pretest to 78.17% in the posttest, and an N-Gain score of 0.747, categorized as high. Therefore, the PBL-based E-LKPD is valid, practical, and effective for use in teaching ecosystem topics to fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based student worksheets (LKPD) assisted by Wordwall media on fifth graders’ critical thinking skills in science learning. The study focused on three dimensions of critical thinking: focus, reason, and inference. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed. Instrument validation included expert judgment, Aiken’s V analysis, reliability testing, item validity, item difficulty, and discrimination analysis. The results of the normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were non-normal and non-homogeneous; therefore, nonparametric statistics were applied. The Mann–Whitney test showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups across all critical thinking aspects with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) values of 0.000 < 0.05. N-Gain analysis demonstrated high effectiveness in the experimental group for focus (96.70%), reason (87.90%), and inference (79.30%), whereas the control group showed only moderate improvement. Spearman rank correlation analysis further revealed very strong correlations among the three critical thinking dimensions. The findings indicate that PBL-based LKPD assisted by Wordwall media effectively improves students’ critical thinking skills and promotes more interactive and student-centered science learning.
