Abstract

In the standard contents of the 2013 curriculum it is mentioned that mathematics learning needs to be given at secondary school level, among others is to equip learners with the ability to think logically, critically, analytically, creatively, thoroughly and thoroughly, responsible, responsive, and not easily give up in solving problems. Especially creative thinking, it is necessary for students to build new ideas or ideas. This study aims to describe how creative thinking of vocational students in solving the problem of quadratic equations based on students' cognitive style. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive type. Subjects in this study were students of class X SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo district a number of 4 students. Researchers use triangulation method to test the validity of data. Data analysis techniques include 3 stages, namely data reduction, data exposure (data display), and conclusion drawing / verifying (conclusion drawing / verifying). The results showed that: 1) Students with cognitive style Field Independent in solving the problem meet the creative criteria with good category. 2) Students with cognitive style of Field Dependent in solving the problem meet creative criteria with category less up to well.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to develop math worksheets using the SPLDV Calc application and to find out how to improve students' creative thinking skills with a 4D development model that is modified into 3D. The stages of this research development consist of: define, design, and develop. The results of this product development are (1) fulfilling the validity criteria based on the final validation percentage of 87% for LKS and 89% for the SPLDV Calc application; (2) meet the effectiveness criteria based on the results of student learning completeness to achieve classical mastery with a percentage of 86%; (3) meeting the criteria for practicality with a student response questionnaire percentage of 85% giving a positive response. The developed worksheets can improve students' creative thinking skills, it is indicated that there is an increase in the pretest to posttest scores from the N-Gain test score of 0.73 with high interpretation, so that the student worksheets can be used by students in learning This shows that android-based worksheets make it easier to learn mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-learning tool based on video presentations to enhances attitudes, skills and pedagogical knowledges of prospective teacher students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is Research and Design (R & D) using the Plomp development model, which consists of 3 stages: a preliminary study, design, and assessment. Data collection was carried out through observation, device validation, distribution of response questionnaires, and assessment of student learning outcomes. The results of the data analysis show that at the preliminary study stage, it was found that there were still no devices that supported learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the stage of design was designed, including RPS, LMS Settings, and Video Presentations. At the assessment stage, it was found that all the tools developed had valid criteria, students gave a positive response to the small and broad trials respectively of 97.68%; 98.32% so that the tools developed were included in practical criteria. The assessment of learning outcomes in the aspects of attitudes, skills, and knowledge had average completeness on the small and broad trials respectively of 82.92%; 86.99% so that the equipment used was included in the effective criteria. Thus the device developed can be said to be feasible because it meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The development of e-learning based on video presentations can be used to enhance attitudes, skills, and pedagogical knowledge of prospective mathematics teacher students.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of literacy skills on students' critical thinking skills. This research type is a correlational study to know the relationship between literacy skills and students' critical thinking skills. The total population is 168 students, and the level of precision is set at 10%. A sample of 63 respondents will be obtained, taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis used in this study is a simple regression analysis with the product-moment correlation coefficient formula. The results showed that literacy skills positively correlate with students' critical thinking skills by 80%. It shows that besides literacy, there are still 20% of other factors that can affect students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah sangat diperlukan baik dalam proses pembelajaran maupun dalam kehidupan. Pemecahan masalah membutuhkan suatu kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Khususnya dalam geometri pemecahan masalah yang sering dihadapkan adalah masalah pembuktian. Melalui pembuktian selain mengetahui kebenaran suatu teorema juga dapat mengasah kemampuan berpikir logis mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah pembuktian geometri oleh mahasiswa calon guru matematika Universitas PGRI Madiun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 2 mahasiswa berkemampuan akademik tinggi dan rendah yang melakukan pembuktian teorema geometri berdasarkan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah Polya. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah pembuktian geometri mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi dalam setiap tahap pemecahan masalah adalah mahasiswa mampu menentukan hipotesis dan kesimpulan dengan bahasa matematis sendiri, mengaitkan dan menggunakan definisi, postulat dan teorema yang telah dibuktikan sebelumnya untuk menyusun pembuktian yang logis disertai visualisasi. Mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu menyusun metode pembuktian yang berbeda dari yang telah dilakukan. Mahasiswa dengan kemampuan rendah belum mampu merumuskan kesimpulan dengan bahasa matematika sendiri dan belum mampu membuat hubungan antar definisi, postulat dan teorema sehingga belum mampu menyusun pembuktian yang logis. Mahasiswa dengan kemampuan rendah belum mampu menyusun pembuktian yang berbeda dari yang telah dilakukan. Berkaitan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditemukan factor yang sangat mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa yaitu kemandirian belajar (self regulated learning).

Abstract

This research aimed to produce YouTube vlog channels that are valid, practical, and effective to be used in facilitating e-learning in a basic mathematics course. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RD), which consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects in this study were 62 third-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at PGRI University of Madiun, Indonesia, where 50 students were field test subjects and 12 students were limited test subjects. The instruments used in this research were a validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and a student learning outcomes test. This research produced YouTube vlog channels. Based on the validation results on teaching materials, an average score of 77% was obtained which was declared valid. Based on the student response questionnaire at the field test stage, it was obtained an average value of 75.46% which was stated to be practical. While at the limited test stage obtained a score of 81.94% which is also declared practical. Based on the learning outcomes test in the field test, the percentage of completeness was 81.82% which stated that the YouTube vlog channel was effective. Meanwhile, in the limited test stage, the completeness percentage was 82% which was also declared effective. Therefore, the produced YouTube vlog channel is feasible for use in e-learning environment.

Abstract

Position of teachers as professionals in the Act No. 14 of 2005, serves to increase the dignity of teachers as well as its role as a learning agent to improve the quality of national education. Teachers as professionals implies that teachers work can only be done by someone who, among others, have certain competencies, namely: pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials for train pedagogical Microteaching integrating communications and information technology the values of character. Urgency of research is the importance of communication and information technology mastery character values by students through lectures integrated Microteaching. This research is the development that follows the mechanism and design of the development of teaching materials (Fenrich, 1997). The steps include the development of teaching materials analysis phase (analysis), planning (planning), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation), evaluation and revision (evaluation and revision). The initial phase of the study in the first year is to develop an instrument for the investigation, analysis (analysis), planning (planning) and designing (design) prototype. In the first year of teaching materials that have been designed include: SAP, Textbook, Media, and the Assessment Guidelines. In the second year was followed by the development (development) Microteaching teaching materials and implements (implementation) in the lecture. The results showed that the Microteaching Subjects that have been developed to train integrating ICT pedagogical competence and character values can be regarded as a good learning tool because it meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Integrating ICT pedagogical competence and character values can be trained.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) apakah pembelajaran matematika denganmenggunakan metode Think Pair Share (TPS) lebih efektif dibanding dengan metode Guided NoteTaking (Catatan terbimbing), (2) adakah perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika antara siswa yangdiajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dan yang menggunakan metodepembelajaran Guided Note Taking (Catatan terbimbing). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitianeksperimen semu. Populasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di MTs NegeriKota Madiun. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling dan kelasyang dipilih adalah siswa kelas VII E sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 32 siswa dan siswakelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Metode pengumpulan datamenggunakan metode tes untuk memperoleh data prestasi belajar matematika dan dokumentasiuntuk data pendukung. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji keseimbangan dengan uji-t.Berdasarkan hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,864 dan nilai 1,645 tabel t Sehingga hitung tabel t  tmaka H0 ditolak atau H1 diterima, artinya metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) lebihefektif dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran Guided Note Taking (Catatan Terbimbing).Dapat dilihat pula dari nilai rata-rata kelas tes prestasi belajar. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilairata-rata 74,69 sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata 67,33. Ini berarti, prestasibelajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) lebihbaik daripada yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelejaran Guided Note Taking(Catatan terbimbing).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak perkembangan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa berdasarkan pengembangan penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berupa power point pada perkuliahan teory graf mahasiswa yang selanjutnya diharapkan akan membantu meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Pada masing-masing siklus memiliki empat tahap yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pengamatan dan tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester genap (kelas VI-A) tahun akademik 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 37 orang. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi langsung dan tes. Analisa data yang dilakukan adalah analisis diskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian 37 orang mahasiswa pada siklus I diperoleh banyaknya mahasiswa yang tuntas adalah 13,51% dan 86,49% mahasiswa yang tidak tuntas.Pada siklus II diperoleh banyaknya mahasiswa yang tuntas adalah 27,03% dan 72,97% mahasiswa yang tidak tuntas. Pada siklus III diperoleh banyaknya mahasiswa yang tuntas adalah72,97% dan 27,03% mahasiswa yang tidak tuntas. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup berarti. Pada perlakuan Siklus II dan siklus III selain terdapat peningkatan prestasi, penerapan metode pemberian tugas terbimbing memiliki pengaruh yang cukup berarti dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa.
