Abstract

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has decided to get used to life with a new normal era. Education in the new normal era certainly requires new adjustments to the organization of learning including the provision of learning media. Magnetic Venn Diagrams (MAVENDI) are designed as learning media to increase student activity on the set material. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the development of MAVENDI to improve student learning activities in the new normal era on the set material. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the 4D model which is focused on the development stage. A limited trial was conducted on 6 students and a field trial on 12 VII grade students of Singo Walisongo Magetan, East Java. Data collection using a validation questionnaire sheet, questionnaire responses and observations of student activity. The results of the development of this media were declared to be quite valid with a percentage of 88.59% based on an expert validation questionnaire, this media obtained high practicality criteria with a final score on a limited trial of P = 4.23 and on a field trial of P = 4.23 based on student response questionnaire. This media was declared effective by obtaining a percentage of 66.7% in limited trials, whereas in field trials obtained 64.7% with active criteria, based on observations of student activity.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop mathematics teaching materials in the form of learning modules on culturally based circle materials. Culture-based learning allows students and teachers to actively participate in the introduction of cultures they already know in order to improve student learning outcomes. One that can bridge between culture and mathematics is Ethnomathematics. The research method used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Geger. This research was used to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the teaching modules developed. The resulting product is in the form of an Ethnomathematics-based teaching module. The results showed that the combined score of two validators to determine the level of validity was 95.35% (very valid), and the results of the teaching module practicality test got a score with a final percentage of 79.60% (practical), an effectiveness test through a learning outcomes test with an average score of 85.06 with a percentage of completion of 90.62%. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the development of ethnomathematics-based teaching modules on class VIII circle materials that are developed is valid, practical, and effective to improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

The use of ICT became important after the government through a circular letter from the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the call for the implementation of online learning to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. Each educational institution including Universities PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) also issued a policy to conduct online learning in providing educational services. This research is descriptive qualitative because it is used to analyze the quality of learning in mathematics education study program through video-based eLMA. Data was collected by means of learning evaluation questionnaires and learning observations of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods. The Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions about the quality of learning in mathematics education study programs through video-based eLMA. The results of the study quality research showed that the results of the learning evaluation conducted by 4 lecturers who were in charge of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods were categorized as very good with successive scores of 3.65; 3.74; 3.64 and 3.68. The results of the observations of the internal quality assurance team also stated that the learning quality of the four courses was included in good criteria with recommendations maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce the STEAM-C integrated worksheets to improve students' creative thinking skills on the flat-sided building material. Development of student worksheets uses the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation , and Evaluation . The research was carried out at SMPN 10 Madiun, using 6 students in grade 8D in a limited trial and using grade 8F students as many as 24 students in a field trial. The results of this study are 1) The STEAM-C integrated student worksheets is declared valid with a validity percentage of 81%. 2) The STEAM-C integrated student worksheets is stated to be very practical based on the results of the calculation of the student response questionnaire in a limited trial with a practicality level of 97%, in a field trial with a practicality level of 93%. 3) The STEAM-C integrated student worksheets is declared effective in the high category based on the calculation of the N - Gain value in the limited trial of 86% and in the field trial of 71%. Thus the STEAM-C integrated student worksheets is feasible to be used in improving creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Mathematical Literacy ability has important for prospective mathematics teachers. It is closely related to Computational Thinking (CT). The aim of this study is to produce CT-students worksheets to improve the mathematical literacy of prospective mathematics teachers. The development study using model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Thirty-seven would-be maths teachers participated in the study's sixth semester. Subject criteria are students who are not familiar with CT. The instruments in this study were CT-based student worksheets, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, pre-test and post-test questions. The results showed that CT-based student worksheets met the criteria of valid (validity percentage of 84.5%), practical (practicality percentage of 88.68%), and effective (N-gain value of 46.91%). Based on these results, it's appropriate to conclude that CT-based student papers can help students who want to become math teachers learn more about math. Recommendations for further research can be made on the development of a wider material and a wider subject as well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar materi bangun datar siswa kelas VII SMP, menggunakan model PTK dengan prosedur meliputi, perencanaan, implementasi, observasi dan refleksi,  dilakukan sebanyak 3 siklus. Penentuan subyek penelitian berdasarkan daftar nilai, observasi dan pretest ketika pra siklus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, dokumentasi dan metode tes berupa post test yang dilakukan setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran PBL mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Jumlah siswa yang tuntas yang semula 15 siswa pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 24 siswa pada siklus II sehingga ketuntasan klasikal juga mengalami peningkatan yang semula 55,56% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 88,89% pada siklus II. Sedangkan prestasi belajar siswa materi bangun datar berdasarkan prosentase ketuntasan klasikal, pada siklus II telah tercapai dan melebihi target yaitu 75% dari jumlah siswa, tuntas mencapai KKM = 70.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh generasi penerus bangsa, sehingga perlu dibekalkan sejak di sekolah dasar. Hasil data dari PISA menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi dan numerasi terutama siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Indonesia. Untuk itu perlunya pendampingan guru SD untuk penguatan literasi numerasi melalui proyek kolaborasi. Pendampingan ini dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Madiun. Mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah SDN Begal Kabupaten Ngawi Jawa Timur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan menjadi 3 tahap yaitu persiapan pendampingan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi hasil pendampingan. Tahap persiapan dimulai dengan melakukan pelatihan dan menyusun rencana kegiatan. Selanjutnya, pada tahap pelaksanaan Guru-guru mampu menerapkan pembelajaran literasi numerasi melalui proyek kolaborasi pada setiap pembelajaran hingga ekstrakurikuler baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas. Selain itu, guru-guru juga mampu memanfaatkan media pembelajaran baik menggunakan teknologi atau memanfaatkan benda di sekitar lingkungan sekolah dengan optimal. Tahap evaluasi hasil pendampingan dengan melakukan refleksi dan pelaporan secara berkala, sehingga implementasi proyek kolaborasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SDN Begal.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a study that explains the relationship between culture and mathematics. Ethnomathematics is applied as a means to motivate, stimulate, overcome saturation, and give a new feel to mathematical learning. One of the cultures that can be studied with ethnomathematics is the mosque. This study aims to learn mathematical concepts and explore ethnomathematics in the building of the Grand Mosque of Baitul Hakim Kota Madiun, the explored building, namely the dome of the mosque. This qualitative research uses an ethnographic approach with data retrieval using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research was conducted at the Grand Mosque of Baitul Hakim City of Madiun with 3 subjects being mosque administrators (secretariat admin, takmir, and marbot). The results of the research were obtained from mathematical concepts and ethnomathematics activities at the Grand Mosque of Baitul Hakim. The mathematical concept obtained is the geometric concept related to the flat construction of isosceles triangles, isosceles trapezoids, ellipses, and limas space structures. The ethnomathematics activity obtained is the activity of measuring and enumerating. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is ethnomathematic activity and there are mathematical concepts in the Grand Mosque of Baitul Hakim Kota Madiun that can be used as a learning resource by educators.

Abstract

Computational thinking and mathematics are closely related, namely mathematics plays a role in overcoming challenges and understanding concepts in computational thinking, while computational thinking ultimately simplifies and abstracts situations by formulating and presenting problems in mathematical form. The purpose of this study is to identify trends and research patterns with the topic of computational thinking in mathematics education using bibliometric analysis. Data is obtained from the dimensions database which has been refined through 4 stages (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion). The results showed that the peak of publications related to computational thinking in mathematics education research occurred in 2022. The Journal of Science of Education and Technology became the most influential journal with the most citations, namely 877 citations even though it only with 7 publications. The United States is the most influential country in this field because of the good number of publications, the number of citations is the highest of any other country. There are three research focuses related to computational thinking in mathematics education research on the dimensions database from 2013-2023, namely, 1) mathematics, study, teacher; 2) problem, child, learning; 3) student, steam, CT skill

Abstract

Abstract. Improving HR skills in the digitalization era has become a basic need in line with the changing paradigm of the COVID-19 pandemic. The other side that can be seen from the implementation of training in the use of information technology that needs to be carried out is the factor of age diversity, and varied educational background levels so it is hoped that with the digitalization training the village administration system can maximize services to the community. In this service, it is addressed to the Gale Village apparatus, Pilangkenceng District, Madiun Regency. The implementation of this training is in order to make Ngale Village provide superior services in the field of information systems. The training activities include an introduction to google drive, google forms, google documents, and spreadsheets. The application of knowledge about Google in administration can also be practiced in making correspondence, financial reports, and digital presentation programs. In this training, there was also an introduction to google sites (simple village websites) which included the practice of opening websites, browsing the internet, and creating village profile content. After the training is complete, the next step will be to provide assistance to village officials in implementing the knowledge that has been obtained during the training. In this community service activity, 13 village officials participated. In the training, he conveyed the relevance of using google drive storage files, compiling google forms, making google meet, google documents, and google spreadsheets. This form of training is designed for beginners and is expected to be an improvement in service to the community. Abstrak. Peningkatan keterampilan SDM pada era digitalisasi telah menjadi kebutuhan yang mendasar seiring perubahan  paradigma pandemi covid-19. Sisi lain yang dapat dilihat dari penyelenggaraan pelatihan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi perlu dilaksanakan adalah faktor keberagaman usia, latar belakang tingkat pendidikan yang bervariatif sehingga diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan digitalisasi sistem administrasi desa dapat memaksimalkan layanan kepada masyarakat. Dalam pengabdian ini ditujukan kepada perangkat desa gale kecamatan pilangkenceng kabupaten madiun. Pelaksanaan pelatihann ini dalam rangka menjadikan desa ngale memberikan pelayanan yang unggul di bidang sistem informasi. Adapun kegiatan pelatihan meliputi pengenalan google drive, google form, google document dan spreadsheet. Penerapan pengetahuan mengenai google dalam administrasi dapat serta dipraktekkan pembuatan surat menyurat, laporan keuangan, dan program presentasi secara digital. Dalam pelatihan ini juga dilakukan pengenalan google sites (website desa sederhana) yang didalamnya terdapat praktek membuka website, browsing di internet, serta pembuatan konten profil desa. Setelah pelatihan selesai, langkah selanjutnya akan diberikan pendampingan kepada perangkat desa dalam pengimplementasian ilmu yang sudah diperoleh selama pelatihan. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diikuti oleh 13 orang perangkat desa. Dalam pelatihan menyampaikan keterkaitan penggunaan file penyimpanan google drive, penyusunan google form, membuatan google meet, google dokumen dan google spreadsheet. Bentuk pelatihan ini didesain untuk pemula dan diharapkan kedepannya menjadi peningkatan dalam pelayanan kepada masyarakat.
