Abstract

The concern for low-emission economic activities has made many countries electrify vehicles as a step to reduce CO2 emissions. The share of electric vehicle (EV) sales in the world continues to increase exponentially, accompanied by a decrease in the average price of EVs in the world. This is feared to threaten Indonesia's car exports, which are dominated by the internal combustion engine (ICE) type. This study aims to analyze the competitive advantage position of Indonesia's car exports as well as the factors affecting Indonesia's car exports in the country with the largest EV share. The research methods used are export products dynamics (EPD) analysis and unbalanced panel regression analysis. The independent variables used are Indonesia's car export prices, GDP per capita of destination countries, average EV prices of destination countries, revealed comparative advantages (RCA) values, and dummy free trade agreements (FTAs). The dependent variable used is the export value of Indonesia's cars with HS code 8703. The results of the study using EPD show that most of Indonesia's car exports in destination countries are in a less expected position, namely falling stars. The results of the regression analysis show that car export prices and EV prices in destination countries have a significant negative effect. GDP per capita and RCA have a significant positive effect, while FTA has no effect.

Abstract

The use of electrical energy is currently less effective because many electronic equipment consumes electricity excessively. Almost all electronic devices use electricity to work. However, the situation that generally occurs is when someone uses electrical energy, it is often found that electrical energy used to turn on electronic devices is wasted due to the negligence of users who forget to turn off the device and still turn on even though it is not used. To achieve the expected goals, this study uses four stages in its development, namely: Analysis, Design, Implementation, and Testing, which can later support perfection in this research. Connectivity Not affected by weather, and very fast responsibility under 1 second at optimal distances. Testing on the Bluetooth module produces data that Bluetooth can run well as long as it is still within optimal range. System Testing produces data that the development of the Prototype with its various tests has been valid and runs according to what has been expected. In order for this prototype to function further, a device is needed to strengthen the Bluetooth signal. Make the application simpler to make it easier to use without unnecessary features, so the application will be lighter and more responsive. Provide alternative switches, so that if at any time the prototype requires maintenance will not hinder user activities.

Abstract

Vegetables are one of the horticultural commodities that have high economic value and opportunity in the market. However, vegetables supply chain in Indonesia is often identified with the traditional supply chain of long marketing chains, difficult market access for farmers, low competitiveness, farmers’ low income, and injustice to supply chain actors, especially between farmers and wholesalers. In creating a structured supply chain, value co-creation intervention applied to synergize farmers and wholesalers in Ciwidey Sub-district to understand each other’s problems then seek solutions to solve them. This research has been conducted in Ciwidey Sub-district, West Java. This research aims to measure the competitiveness and farmers income of each wholesaler’s group before and after value co-creation intervention. The result shows that variables competitiveness and income of Sari Hejo Farmer Group and Hidayah Alam Farmer Group have significant positive changed, while one of three indicator variable of competitiveness has not significantly changed.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the level of pollution sensitivity associated with fertilization activities in agricultural land in two karst spring catchment areas (Beton and Guntur). The aquifer characteristics of these two springs differ; the Beton Spring has a more developed allogenic channel development, whereas the Guntur Spring has a less developed autogenic system. In this study, the COCKPIT-PLUS and Master Recession Curve (MRC) techniques are combined to define land use zoning and the degree of aquifer sensitivity to pollution. Field sampling and stakeholder interviews were also conducted to assess land management practices and pollutant concentrations in the springs. The results show that due to the influence of more intensive and varied land use, Beton Spring has a higher sensitivity to pollution, as evidenced by higher concentrations of nitrate, phosphate, and Escherichia coli. In contrast, lower pollution levels in Guntur Spring occur due to the narrower recharge zone area supported by a more consistent planting pattern. Various strategies, including vegetative restoration, drainage planning, land use regulation, and communicative education, were formulated using the DPSIR framework. Strategies are critical in areas with high sensitivity, such as the Beton and Jomblangan recharge zones, which also highlight the necessity of land use restrictions based on upstream-downstream interactions. This study emphasized the importance of adapting the protection plan for karst aquifer recharge zones in response to land use intensity and degradation. It proposes an evidence-based integrated management model that focuses on decreasing the effects of land degradation in tropical karst aquifer systems.

Abstract

Abstract. The college library is a place for students to be used as a science-based recreation area. To fulfill this, a comfort is needed for visitors, especially students, to feel at home and feel / want to continue to linger while in the library. Wicaksana (2016) defines comfort as a relaxed condition, where pain is not felt between all limbs. Factors from the interior of the library also greatly influence students to feel more comfortable when they are in the room in the library. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of user comfort when in the UIN Ar-R aniry library room, especially in the reading area / room which includes lighting, air, and sound efficiency (acoustic) factors. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive data analysis methods (data coding) and calculations based on the results of questionnaires (Likert scale), observation, and documentation. The results showed that the average visitor was a student of UIN Ar-Raniry and chose to visit in groups, with a frequency of visits ranging from 1 to 3 visits, and a visit time of less than or for 2 hours. Serta prefers to visit during the day (14.00 WIB) to afternoon (16.30 WIB). Common activities are doing assignments or looking for references with the reading room as the most visited area. Based on open questions to respondents and has been categorized, the comfort factor is the reason users want to stay longer in the UIN Ar-Raniry library. Respondent also feels comfortable in terms of lighting and air both naturally and artificially. But for the noise level, occasionally respondents feel a little disturbed due to the sound generated from other users' activities.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country with a Muslim majority population, has received Rohingya refugees in recent years. This article highlights Indonesia's response to the Rohingya humanitarian crisis, focusing on refugee policies and practices at the national level. This research is a normative legal research that includes research on legal principles with descriptive narratives. This research uses secondary and primary data as its main sources to support the findings. A comparative analysis will compare Indonesia's approach with other countries in the region, such as Malaysia and Thailand. The study shows that the three countries have not yet become parties to the 1951 Convention and/or the 1967 Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees, so the handling of Rohingya refugees in the three countries is handed over to the UNHCR. Thailand and Malaysia often detain refugees because they are illegal migrants. Indonesia, in handling Rohingya refugees, depends on assistance from donations from international organizations and other countries. This does not provide a long-term solution, so a comprehensive approach is needed in handling Rohingya refugees in Indonesia. The principle of non-refoulement binds all countries even if they are not parties to the 1951 Convention because this principle has become customary international law with a jus cogens character.

Abstract

Water distribution networks that are unoptimally operated can cause various problems so that water flows are not evenly distributed to consumers. One of the causes is the high water loss level due to leaks in the distribution pipeline system, as one of the water operators in Jakarta, Indonesia, PT. XYZ has tremendous efforts to improve the water supply system. One of them is to reduce physical water losses. The estimated percentage of physical water losses of water distribution networks in Green Garden District, West Jakarta, in April 2018 has amounted to 30%. It is still above the tolerance standard for the national water loss rate in Indonesia's Water Utilities, around 20%. It is necessary to reduce water loss to overcome this problem. After performing a step test program in the Green Garden District, it was found that there was a water loss of 84 lps in July 2018, which increased to 103.16 l/sin in May 2019 or showed an increase of 23%. Then, a pressure calibration was undertaken by placing six pressure monitoring points on the district in May 2019 using hydraulic simulation from WaterGEMS V.10. This calibration obtained the highest pressure Gap at pressure monitoring point #5 of 2.5 mH2O and the lowest pressure monitoring point #1 of 1.03 mH2O. Subsequently, leak detection measures were conducted to reduce physical water loss from January to May 2019,  PT. XYZ water distribution network uses two leak detection methods, visible and invisible leak detections, which had successfully reduced its net night flows (NNFs). The leak repairs obtained 77 leak points, which consisted of 32 visible leaks and 45 invisible leaks. Total estimated leakage flows of 5.33 lps were obtained from the decrease in the net night flow, which indicates a decrease in physical water loss by 16% from January to March 2019.
