Abstract

Educational Tourism is one of the types of tourism in Indonesia. There are still limited studies that attempt to discover the relationship between tourism education and education tourism (edu-tourism). Educational Tourism is one of the types of tourism activities that has been recognized by the Indonesian government, which is a field trip related to an activity or trip whose purpose is for recreation or entertainment and contains educational activities in it. The data method is done by interview was used in collecting the data to get some information from local people or society, and data is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that English educational tourism through the phenomenon of Kampung Inggris is one of the Educational Tourism destinations in Indonesia. Educational Tourism has many benefits, such as creating jobs, improving the educational system, and increasing young generations' competitiveness. The role of education can make the country is able to have highly developed and foremost competitiveness.

Abstract

Sosial media dapat menjadi salah satu media komunikasi yang baik bagi perusahaan dan konsumennya. Hal ini sejalan dengan generasi milenial yang saat ini berada di usia produktif dan memiliki gaya hidup yang akrab dengan sosial media dan internet. Desa Wisata Sibetan memiliki agrowisata dengan aktivitas dan produk yang beragam. Dengan adanya pemanfaatan perkebunan salak di Desa Wisata Sibetan menjadi agrowisata, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi integrasi antara sektor pertanian dan pariwisata di Desa Wisata Sibetan. Integrasi ini dapat meningkatkan perekonomian petani salak yang lahannya dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan agrowisata, sehingga hal ini akan menciptakan persepsi positif masyarakat pedesaan terhadap kegiatan pariwisata. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif dimana data yang dikumpulkan berbentuk kata-kata yang akan dipadukan menggunakan penekatan analisis SWOT yang akan digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor kekuatan (strength), kelemahan (weakness), peluang (opportunities) dan ancaman (threats) yang dimiliki oleh Desa Wisata Sibetan, dimana hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sosial media seperti instagram, tiktok, facebook, youtube, whatsapp, akan mampu membantu kegiatan promosi di Agrowisata Salak Desa Sibetan dan memberikan informasi terkait apa yang akan ditawarkan dan Memanfaatkan sosial media sebagai sarana promosi agrowisata salak dan produk olahan salak di Desa Sibetan.

Abstract

Talking irony as one of the figures of speech has been commonly discussed not only in daily conversation but also in social media, contemporary fiction, and different works of literature. However, the study of irony itself is not widely discussed in the novel. This study aims to find the verbal irony that occurs in the novel and in what situations it occurs. The data were taken from the novel “Twilight” written by Stephenie Meyer. The theory is adapted from Winokur (2007) about the definition of verbal irony. This study uses a qualitative approach and data are collected by note-taking and classified into the types of irony. The findings of this study, there are 14 data of verbal irony occur in this study. This study also found that the ironic criticism in the novel appears to minimize the negative meaning of the message. So, it may reduce the level of criticism for the addressee to save face. Explaining Verbal Irony in the Novel is really different from what we communicate in real situations. We have to read the whole text to find the implicit meaning of the irony. For the next study, we can analyze the comparison between irony and humor in literary work, such as novels to have more sight into those signals.

Abstract

One of the centers for ornamental plants in Bali is located in Petiga Village. However, the marketing of ornamental plants in Petiga Village has not yet embraced digital methods, limiting its reach primarily to the local market. The objective of this community service project is to introduce and train groups of women farmers in utilizing e-commerce to expand the marketing of ornamental plants. This community service activity comprises three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results obtained reveal that the women farmers' group has gained knowledge about marketing ornamental plants through e-commerce. Based on this, it can be concluded that the socialization and training on marketing ornamental plants through e-commerce have provided farmer groups with a better understanding of using digital media. As a next step, farmers still require additional skills in using social media platforms as digital marketing tools, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others.

Abstract

Turtles as one of the rare and almost extinct animals need to be preserved. The prevention effort taken is through conservation. Conservation cannot work alone without the support of the surrounding community. For this reason, there is a need for public awareness of the importance of preserving turtles. Community service activities by IPB International lecturers and students were carried out in the Sanur area, Denpasar, Bali. The activities are giving counseling about turtle conservation as well as activities to clean up the beach area. Counseling was given by a manager from the turtle sanctuary conservation. There are three stages carried out in this activity, namely the preparation, the counseling, and the cleaning stages. In the preparation stage, the team approached community supervisory groups, fishermen groups, and youth groups in Sanur. Next, the counseling stage was carried out with material about the life cycle of turtles and the process of caring for them. In the final stage, the beach area is cleaned to create a comfortable place for turtles that lay their eggs and hatch on the coast. This community activity is felt to be very beneficial for the young generation who live around the Sanur Beach area. In the future, the community hopes that the team will carry out similar activities in other tourism sectors that can benefit the community in the Sanur area.

Abstract

Desa Pedawa merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di daerah pegunungan, wilayah Kecamatan Banjar, Kabupaten Buleleng. Desa Pedawa sudah sangat terkenal masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai penyadap nira aren yang selanjutnya diolah menjadi gula aren secara tradisional. Gula aren Pedawa terkenal karena manisnya yang khas dan memiliki fungsi sangat vital bagi masyarakat Pedawa, mulai dari teman minum kopi, membuat berbagai olahan kuliner, bahkan untuk berbagai ritual upacara keagamaan. Kelezatan gula aren Pedawa bahkan sudah terkenal di wilayah Kabupaten Buleleng khususnya. Banyak masyarakat luar Pedawa yang sengaja datang jauh-jauh ke Desa Pedawa untuk membelinya. Namun besarnya permintaan ternyata tidak sebanding dengan kuantitas produksi. Biaya operasional yang cukup mahal menjadikan gula ini memiliki harga yang cukup tinggi dibanding jenis gula merah lainnya yang banyak beredar di pasaran. Selain itu masyarakat Pedawa juga masih memiliki kendala di bidang pemasaran. Masyarakat Pedawa sejauh ini masih mengandalkan pola-pola konvensional secara door to door, atau memenuhi pesanan secara terbatas, dan pemasarannya masih belum dilakukan dalam skala luas. Kelompok tani yang menaungi pembuat gula aren di Pedawa sudah ada yang dinamakan BIMA DEWA (Bumi Perthiwi Mesari Aren Desa Pedawa). Beranjak dari hal itu, perlu adanya upaya pendampingan bagi masyarakat, terutama yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani BIMA DEWA tersebut agar mampu memahami strategi pemasaran secara luas agar penghasilan yang diperoleh sepadan dengan ongkos produksi. Pendampingan yang diberikan berupa bimbingan teknis, sekaligus mengupdate website Desa Pedawa agar informasi yang medetail terkait gula aren lokal tersedia dan bisa diakses secara luas.

Abstract

Pariwisata yang sedang dibangun dan dikembangkan oleh pemerintah Bali diantaranya adalah desa wisata. TikTok memanfaatkan algoritma yang canggih untuk menampilkan video yang disesuaikan dengan preferensi dan minat penggunanya, membuatnya sangat adiktif dan mampu mempertahankan engagement pengguna. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi ketertarikan wisatawan khususnya Gen Z dalam melakukan kunjungan wisata ke Bukit Trunyan. Jenis metode yang digunakan yaitu metode mixed method yang menggabungkan kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk memahami fenomena secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian yaitu generasi Z yang merupakan kelompok usia yang terbiasa dengan teknologi dan terkoneksi secara digital, menunjukkan ketertarikan yang signifikan terhadap Bukit Trunyan di Bali. Konten Viral secara statistik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan Minat Wisata ke Bukit Trunyan, sehingga hipotesis bahwa Konten Viral mempengaruhi minat wisata tersebut diterima.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan konten yang terdapat informasi yang dikemas oleh seseorang yang menggunakan teknologi penerbitan, gampang dijangkau serta dimaksudkan untuk memberikan fasilitas komunikasi, pengaruh serta komunikasi antar sesama dan bersama umum. Masyarakat banyak yang memanfaatkan ketenaran media sosial untuk melakukan pemasaran baik berupa produk maupun jasa. strategi pemasaran mampu diartikan menjadi salah satu dari acuan yang dipakai untuk menyusun perencanaan perusahaan secara menyeluruh. Strategi pemasaran identik dengan berbisnis, dan tentunya berkaitan dengan perusahaan yang menjual produk maupun jasa. Lembaga pendidikan juga menjadi salah satu instansi yang memanfaatkan strategi pemasaran. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa redesain penelitian yang dilakukan oleh tim humas dan promosi IPB Internasional meliputi hampir keseluruhan media sosial, seperti Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram, dan facebook. Implementasi strategi pemasarannya meliputi adsense, hingga menonjolkan copywriting serta konten yang menarik. Begitu pula dengan faktor hambatan maupun faktor pendukung yang membuat tim humas dan promosi dapat melaksanakan strategi pemasarannya. Diantaranya seperti kegiatan sosialisasi, marketing tools sebagai faktor pendukung, hingga minimnya informasi terkait rebranding kampus yang menjadi hambatan

Abstract

The English language training carried out at the educational tourism Subak TeBA Majalangu aims to improve the English language skills of tour guides so they can communicate with foreign tourists. Tour guides are given English language training according to their field with the material provided totaling 4 discussion topics. On each topic, there are 2 training sessions, namely theory and practice in the field. There are 3 stages in this training, namely the preparation stage, socialization, and training implementation. The training was carried out over 8 meetings. At the socialization stage, participants are given an initial test to determine the participant's competency. Furthermore, at the end of the training implementation stage, participants are again given a test to determine the results of the training participants' English language skills. The results obtained from implementing English language training for tour guides at the educational tourism Subak TeBA Majalangu in Kesiman Kertalangu Village, Denpasar were very satisfying. Training participants get an increase in grades that were previously lacking, after the training they get good grades. For the sustainability of this program, the community service team hopes to be able to provide other training in developing human resources at TeBA Majalangu

Abstract

Community service activities at the Dharma Jati II Orphanage are communicative English language assistance that emphasizes speaking skills. The problem that arises in partners is that there is no English language training and development provided by the orphanage. The desire of the orphanage administrators in improving children's English skills, especially in speaking, is very large considering the importance of mastering English as an international language in this era of globalization. The purpose of this community service is to provide English language assistance to orphanage children so that they are able to improve their English skills, especially in speaking. The method used goes through three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The results obtained from the assistance are a good method to use is role playing with occasionally slipping games that are fun for the orphanage children. In the future, this activity will be carried out more often to help orphanage children improve their English language skills, not only speaking skills, but also in 3 other English language skills, such as reading, writing, and listening.
