Abstract

In the context of motivation, there are two main elements analyzed, namely internal factors that are pushing factors and external factors that are pulling factors. The combination of these factors influences an individual's decision to attend an event. This research aims to determine the influence of push motivational factors and pull motivational factors on the visiting decision of generation Z at the Chinese Cultural Event in Medan City, particularly the Chinese New Year Festival. The independent variables studied are push motivational factors and pull motivational factors, while the dependent variable is the visiting decision. This research employs a quantitative method with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 90 respondents who visited the Chinese New Year Festival 2024 at W.R. Supratman 2 Medan Senior High School. Hypothesis testing in this research utilizes a multiple linear regression model with partial tests, simultaneous tests, and coefficients of determination, supported by the SPSS 27 program. The results of the research prove that push motivational factors and pull motivational factors partially have a positive and significant effect on the visiting decisions. Simultaneously, both types of motivational factors collectively have a positive and significant effect on the visiting decisions.

Abstract

The promotional mix includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, public relations and direct marketing plays an important role in shaping consumer perception and interest in an event. All of these elements contribute synergistically in influencing consumers' decisions to buy event tickets. This research aims to determine the influence of the promotional mix on the decision to purchase tickets for the Badminton Influencer Tournament event at the Ideal Foundation Medan. This research uses quantitative methods with a simple linear regression test. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to all respondents. The sampling technique uses probability sampling with the Slovin formula. The independent variables used are advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, public relations and direct marketing. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear analysis. The data analysis methods in this research are data quality testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear analysis and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 26. The results of this research are that partially sales promotion, public relations and marketing directly influence purchasing decisions, while advertising and sales personality does not influence the decision to visit. Simultaneously advertising, sales promotion, direct sales, public relations and direct marketing influence the decision to visit. Overall promotional mix variables consisting of advertising, sales promotion, personal sales, public relations and marketing directly influence the decision to purchase tickets for the Badminton Influencer Tournament event by 56.7% while the remaining 43.3% can be explained by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

A regularly updated website is essential to support marketing activities in today's digital era. This is what underlies Boesa Management's efforts to improve the performance of its website in order to increase company credibility, expand market reach, and access information. However, the lack of team member skills in website operation makes the company rely on third parties so that it is not free and slow in managing information on the website. Therefore, the Polmed service team took the initiative to provide WordPress-based website operation training to Boesa Management employees by bringing in professionals in the field of web design. Through this training, employees are expected to have qualified skills in website operation so that the company can be independent in managing all information on the company website.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh electronic word of mouth dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian paket internet XL di kalangan mahasiswa di kota Medan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuesioner dan menggunakan skala likert. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linier Berganda dengan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan program SPSS 20. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Adapun variabel independen adalah electronic word of mouth dan harga, dan variabel dependen adalah keputusan pembelian. Hasil regresi linear berganda, diperoleh Y = 13,047 + 0,098X1 + 0,236X2, menjelaskan bahwa variabel bebas electronic word of mouth dan harga berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel terikat keputusan pembelian. Hasil penelitian dari uji koefisien determinasi (R2) menunjukkan bahwa variabel electronic word of mouth dan harga mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian sebesar 64,9% dan sisanya 35,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the positive influence of organizational culture on affective commitment, (2) the positive influence of participative leadership on affective commitment, (3) the positive influence of intrinsic motivation on affective commitment and (4) the simultaneous positive influence of organizational culture, participative leadership on affective commitment of junior high school teachers in Tarutung sub-district, North Tapanuli district. The research population was all junior high school teachers in Tarutung sub-district, totaling 165 people. To determine the sample, a random sampling technique was used. The sample size was determined at 35%, obtained 58 people. The research data were obtained through a questionnaire with a Likert scale weight. The questionnaire was first tested on 30 teachers at Junior High School 1, Siatas Barita Sub-district, North Tapanuli  district,  to determine the validity and reliability of the research instrument. The analysis requirement test includes (1) normality test, using non-parametric statistical test, the data is normally distributed (2) linearity test, the value is more =0.335, =0.581, =0.790 >0.05 (3) multicollinearity test, the standard error value is low and multicollinearity is not detected, (4) relationship test (correlation) is obtained that each variable is related to variable Y. Where  is greater than . The results of the study concluded that (1) organizational culture has a positive effect on affective commitment with an  value of 0.437, meaning that organizational culture has a positive effect on teacher affective commitment of 43.7%, (2) participative leadership on affective commitment, the  value is 0.264, meaning that leadership has a positive effect on teacher affective commitment of 26.4%. (3) intrinsic motivation on affective commitment, the  value is 0.429, meaning that intrinsic motivation has a positive effect on teacher affective commitment of 42.9%, (4) From the results of the F test, it can be concluded that organizational culture, participative leadership and intrinsic motivation simultaneously positive influence affective commitment. The contribution of the three X variables is 25.30%. Thus, it is concluded that organizational culture, participative leadership, and intrinsic motivation simultaneously have a positive effect on the affective commitment of teachers at State Middle Schools in Tarutung Sub-District, North Tapanuli District.

Abstract

Abstract : This study also opens up space for further quantitative data-based studies to examine the relationship between variables in greater depth.   Objective : This study aims to examine the influence of unique resources, leadership, and efficiency on organizational performance improvement, considering the mediating role of work motivation and the moderating role of age.   Method : This study was conducted using a systematic literature review approach on ten selected academic articles relevant to the research theme. Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis techniques and presented in the form of narratives, tables, and quotations from the original sources. Results : The research findings indicate that unique resources, strategic leadership, and efficiency have a positive relationship with organizational performance. Work motivation was found to to be a significant mediator in strengthening this relationship. Meanwhile, age as a moderator variable showed varying influences based on workforce generation groups. These findings contribute significantly to the development of human resource management theory and organizational practices that are more contextual and adaptive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of recruitment and training on employee performance at PT Gajah Mada Barokah Sukses Makmur (GM Production Indonesia) in Yogyakarta. The research background is based on the phenomenon of a mismatch between the number of applicants and the quality of human resources required by the company, which operates in a dynamic and competitive event organizer industry. Despite receiving thousands of applicants, only a few qualified to be hired. Therefore, the company provides internal training to enhance employee competencies and professionalism. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with 70 internal employees as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both partially and simultaneously, recruitment and training have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.694 indicates that 69.4% of the variance in employee performance can be explained by recruitment and training, while the remaining 30.6% is influenced by other factors. These findings emphasize that selective recruitment and targeted training are crucial in building a competent workforce in the event organizer industry.

Abstract

Guru adalah salah satu komponen esensial dalam suatu sistem pendidikan nasional. Peran, tugas dan tanggung jawab guru sangat penting dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional, yaitu mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, meningkatkan kualitas manusia Indonesia. Untuk melaksanakan fungsi, peran dan kedudukan yang sangat strategis tersebut, diperlukan guru yang profesional. Salah satu ciri profesionalisme adalah aktif melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 35 tahun 2010 Tentang Petunjuk Teknis Pelaksanaan Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya yang berlaku efektif mulai berlaku 1 Januari 2013, dimana untuk kenaikan pangkat/ jabatan Fungsional Guru diwajibkan membuat Karya Inovatif berupa Penelitian, Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Alat Peraga, Modul, Buku, atau Karya Teknologi Pendidikan. Menurut data yang diperoleh bahwa jumlah guru SD dan SMP di Kecamatan Barus Jahe Kabupaten Karo yang masih golongan pada III cukup banyak (55%) dengan masa golongan yang sudah lama (4 – 10 tahun). Penyebab utama keterlambatan itu adalah kurangnya minat dalam membuat karya ilmiah yang menjadi persyaratan utama dalam kenaikan golongan. Berdasarkan pengakuan beberapa guru bahwa kurangnya penulisan karya ilmiah disebabkan karena beban kerja mengajar yang cukup berat ditambah dengan kurangnya motivasi untuk melaksanakan penelitian, kurangnya pengetahuan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian dengan komputer khususnya menggunakan Software Ms Excel dan SPSS. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi para guru tersebut diatas maka kami memberikan suatu pelatihan bagaimana membuat karya ilmiah dan bagaimana cara mengolah data penelitian dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada Senin, 21 November 2022 dengan peserta 19 orang guru. Dengan materi dan metode pelatihan praktek langsung di laboratorium komputer maka para guru yang mengikuti pelatihan dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang akan digunakan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian dengan Ms. Excel dan SPSS sehingga dapat memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk melaksanakan penelitian untuk membuat karya ilmiah yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kualitas pendidkan dan kesejahteraan guru. Teachers are one of the essential components of a national education system. The role, duties, and responsibilities of teachers are critical in realizing the goals of national education, namely educating the nation's life and improving the quality of Indonesian people. To carry out these very strategic functions, roles, and positions, professional teachers are needed. One of the characteristics of professionalism is actively carrying out classroom action research. Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 35 of 2010 concerning Technical Instructions for the Implementation of Functional Teacher Positions and Credit Points which took effect on January 1 2013, whereby for promotion to the rank/position of Functional Teachers, it is required to do Innovative Works in the form of Research, Scientific Writing, Teaching Aids, Modules, Books, or Educational Technology Works. According to the data obtained, there are quite a lot of elementary and junior high school teachers in Barus Jahe District, Karo Regency, who are still in class III (55%) with old age groups (4-10 years). The main cause of the delay is the lack of interest in doing scientific work, which is the main requirement for a promotion. Based on the acknowledgment of several teachers that the lack of writing scientific papers was due to the quite heavy teaching workload coupled with a lack of motivation to carry out research, a lack of knowledge to process research data using computers, especially using Ms Excel and SPSS software. To overcome the problems faced by the teachers mentioned above, we provide training on how to do scientific work and how to process research data using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. Implementation of community service activities on Monday, November 21, 2022, with 19 teacher participants. With the materials and methods of hands-on training in the computer laboratory, teachers who take part in the activity can gain knowledge and skills that will be used to process research data with Ms. Excel and SPSS to provide motivation to teachers to carry out research to create scientific work which in turn will improve the quality of education and teacher.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of social interaction and social support on employee performance with job satisfaction as moderation. The analysis used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population of this study was employees from several companies totaling 65 people. The data collection techniques used in this research were questionnaires, interviews and literature studies, and the analysis method used Smart PLS software. The findings in this research are that social interaction and social support influence employee performance. Job satisfaction as a moderating variable is able to moderate social interaction and social support on employee performance.

Abstract

In attracting consumers, business owners try their best to provide everything they can to meet customer satisfaction. Consumer satisfaction is a very important factor to ensure the survival of a company. The goal of a company is to create and retain consumers. In order for a company to develop and get satisfaction from consumers, a company must be able to provide more value to the quality provided to consumers. This research aims to determine the effect of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction with loyalty as moderation. The current analysis uses a quantitative approach. The population of this research is consumers or customers who have shopped. Samples were taken from this population, and the sample selection for this study was determined by random sampling, resulting in a sample of 150 respondents. The results of this research have found that product quality and service quality influence customer satisfaction. Loyalty as a moderating variable is able to moderate the influence of product quality on customer satisfaction.
