Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi Product Based Learning (PBL) dalam proyek matematika sebagai upaya menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa SMA melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menelaah 25 artikel nasional dan internasional yang terbit antara tahun 2018 hingga 2024 dan relevan dengan pembelajaran matematika berbasis produk. Analisis dilakukan melalui empat tahapan utama: identifikasi, penyaringan, kelayakan, dan sintesis data. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Product Based Learning dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui aktivitas proyek yang menuntut eksplorasi ide, pemecahan masalah, dan penerapan konsep matematis dalam pembuatan produk nyata. Selain itu, model ini juga berkontribusi terhadap penguatan jiwa kewirausahaan, terutama pada aspek inovatif, mandiri, dan tanggung jawab. Secara keseluruhan, integrasi PBL dalam proyek matematika terbukti menjadi strategi efektif untuk menghubungkan keterampilan abad ke-21 dengan kompetensi dasar matematika serta membentuk karakter wirausaha siswa di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kontribusi pembelajaran STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 25 artikel ilmiah terpublikasi antara tahun 2013–2023. Artikel dipilih melalui proses identifikasi, skrining, dan telaah isi penuh berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEAM mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui pendekatan berbasis proyek, integrasi lintas disiplin, dan penyelesaian masalah kontekstual. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga mendorong kreativitas, kolaborasi, serta keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses belajar matematika. Kendati demikian, ditemukan pula sejumlah tantangan implementasi di lapangan, seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru, kurangnya pelatihan, dan minimnya perangkat ajar. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya dukungan kebijakan dan penguatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta pengembangan model pembelajaran STEAM yang kontekstual dan aplikatif. Kesimpulannya, pembelajaran STEAM berpotensi menjadi strategi inovatif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines how eco-literacy is conceptualised, institutionalised, and enacted in Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Indonesia and Malaysia, with particular attention to tensions between sustainability policy and classroom pedagogy.Design/methods/approach – A qualitative comparative design combined constructivist grounded theory with critical policy document analysis. data were generated through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and institutional document review in two purposively selected eco-oriented kindergartens: TK Agripina in Surabaya and Tadika EcoSmart in Johor Bahru. Analysis proceeded through iterative coding, constant comparison, and cross-case synthesis.Findings – Eco-literacy was enacted through three interrelated processes. First, routine environmental activities became pedagogically consequential only when teachers mediated them through dialogue, inquiry, and emotionally grounded reflection. Second, policy commitments to sustainability were only partially realised in practice because teacher capacity, pedagogical guidance, and curriculum integration remained uneven. Third, children’s ecological awareness developed through culturally mediated participation in which collective values, community engagement, and selective digital mediation shaped how environmental responsibility was understood.Research implications/limitations – This study theorises eco-literacy in ECE as a socio-reflective, culturally mediated, and policy-contingent process in Global South contexts. It proposes an interpretive Eco-Pedagogical Framework linking policy, teacher enactment, and socio-cultural mediation. However, its two-case qualitative design limits transferability; future research should adopt multi-site and longitudinal approaches.Practical implications – Effective eco-literacy implementation requires systemic alignment through strengthened teacher ecological competence, explicit pedagogical scaffolding, and institutional support for reflective practice, alongside culturally grounded and community-based learning integration.Originality/value – The study reconceptualises eco-literacy as a culturally situated process of pedagogical recontextualisation in Muslim-majority Southeast Asian ECE, offering a nuanced Global South perspective beyond technocratic models of sustainability education.Paper type Research paper

Abstract

The development of mathematical creative thinking abilities is a crucial goal in modern education, as these skills enable students to approach complex problems innovatively and adapt to diverse challenges. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to nurture creativity, focusing instead on rote learning and procedural tasks. This study aims to investigate the impact of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and the Flipped Classroom approach on enhancing students' mathematical creative thinking abilities. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, analyzing previous studies that explore the effects of these pedagogical strategies individually and in combination. Data were collected and synthesized through a rigorous process of identification, screening, and inclusion based on predefined criteria. The findings reveal that the integration of PBL and the Flipped Classroom significantly improves students' flexibility, originality, and ability to generate innovative solutions in mathematics. PBL fosters collaborative problem-solving and real-world application, while the Flipped Classroom prepares students with foundational knowledge, allowing class time to focus on exploration and creativity. This research highlights the potential of innovative teaching models to transform mathematics education by creating dynamic and student-centered learning environments. The results provide valuable insights for educators seeking to foster higher-order thinking skills and creativity in their students.
