Abstract

Employability skills are the skills that a person must have to get a job, stay in work, and be able to achieve success in their career. This study aims to develop a model of specific employability skills framework for machine operators. The research design used is the mixed methods, a study that combines the quantitative and qualitative methods and convergent parallel strategy in the data mixing process. The research finding is 14 identified frameworks of employability skills, including (1) basic skills: communicating, listening; (2) self-quality: attendance, collaboration, responsibility, honesty, flexibility, empathy; (3) thinking skills: creativeness, problem-solving; (4) management: self-management, planning; (5) system and technology: production flow system, and mastery of job field concept. Industries demand that basic skills have to be possessed by machine operators to be and self-quality as the priority to recruited as prospective skilled workers. Thinking skills, management, and system and technology are better if developed in their future workplace.

Abstract

Pembelajaran  teoritis berupa simbol-simbol verbal yang ada tidak cukup representatif  menjelaskan konsep sistem yang diperlukannya, sehingga kemungkinan tidak terjangkau (inaccessible) oleh peserta didik yang efeknya kurang menimbul kanpengalaman belajar. Hal ini berimplikasi terhadap kesalahan pembangunan sistem material teknik yang utuh baik system struktur mikro atom maupun system perubahan sifat material sesuai  aplikasi realnya. Penelitian iniberkaitan erat dengan usaha meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran material teknik khususnya penguasaan konsep bidang geser atom penentu sifat mekanik  material. Penelitian bertujuan membandingkan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang berupa peningkatan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa yang menggunakan multimedia animasi dengan media gambar. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen yang dilakukan pada dua kelas yaitu: eksperimen menggunakan multimedia animasi dan kelas kontrol menggunakan media gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Perbedaan signifikan antara peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada mahasiswa yang menggunakan multimedia animasi dengan media gambar, dimana peningkatan penguasaan konsep lebih tinggi dengan menggunakan multimedia animasi. Hal ini terjadi akibat adanya memory jangka panjang yang dihasilkan dari pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia animasi.Kata kunci: penguasaan konsep, multimedia animasi, bidang geser atom, sifat mekanik material.ABSTRACTTheoretical learning in the form of verbal symbols is not representatively enough to explain the concept of needed system, so the chances are not affordable (inaccessible) by students that effect less cause learning experience. It has implications for the fault development of completed systems engineering material which is both systems intact atomic microstructure and material properties of the system changes according the real applications. This research is closely related to make improving the quality of learning materials engineering in particular concept mastery the atomic crystal structure determining the mechanical properties of the material. The purpose of this study to reveal the comparative understanding of students of vocational teachers candidate using animation multimedia with images media. The research method is experiments conducted on two classes of experimental class using animation multimedia and control class using images media. The study results an animations multimedia increases concepts comprehension. This is higher than the use of static images or handouts that reach the lower categories. The study also found that the use of animation multimedia is accessible and effective in improving the comprehension of abstract concept  in Engineering Material. This occurs due to long-term memory that result from learning using multimedia animation.Keywords: concepts comprehension animation multimedia, atomic slide fields, mechanical properties of the material.

Abstract

In this paper, an Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based on Arduino microcontroller is applied to the dynamic model of 5 DoF Robot Arm presented. MATLAB is used to detect colored objects based on image processing. Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) method is a method for controlling robotic arm based on color detection of camera object and inverse kinematic model of trained data. Finally, the ANFIS algorithm is implemented in the robot arm to select objects and pick up red objects with good accuracy.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a global pandemic, it has an impact on the education. Direct learning system suddenly could not be implemented because suppressing the spread of the virus. Based on the joint decree of four ministers regarding guidelines for the implementation of learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic, limited direct learning is carried out. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of limited direct learning on the results of the lathe machining competency test. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach and documentation studies. The instruments that used in this study are form of observation sheets of competency test results and sheet of assessment of competency test from partner industry. The result of this study showed that the implementation of limited direct learning has a positive impact to the result of lathe competency test obtained by student. The results showed that the implementation of limited direct learning had a positive impact on the results of student competency test, as evidenced by competency test scores by using the categories such as SK (sangat kompeten), K (kompeten), CK (cukup kompeten), and BK (belum kompeten). The scores obtained by students with their respective percentages are as much as 2%, 82%, 16%, and 0%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengembangan ini adalah untuk mengatasi dampak negatif yang tinggi dari penggunaan pemanas kandang berbahan bakar batubara pada kesehatan peternak dan lingkungan serta untuk dapat meningkatkan produktivitas ternak ayam pedaging di Desa Sadamantra. Desa Sadamantra merupakan desa pemasok ayam pedaging terbesar di Kecamatan Jalaksana Kabupaten Kuningan, dengan perolehan hasil ayam pedaging mencapai 99.300 ekor/tahun. Namun dalam 5 tahun terakhir desa sadamantra mengalami penurunan jumlah produksi ayam pedaging hingga lebih 50%. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah karena suhu lingkungan yang rendah. Beberapa upaya telah dilakukan peternak, seperti membuat penghangat kandang media batubara, pelet kayu, dan gas LPG, namun sayangnya hal tersebut tidak ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan ini yaitu kunjungan kelompok, diskusi kelompok, pratik pembuatan biogas dari kotoran sapi, dan promosi hasil kerja kelompok sasaran. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dalam pengembangan ini, pemanas kandang ayam pedaging berbasis biogas pada kondisi penampungan maksimum dapat memanaskan kandang hingga waktu 90 menit dan bisa digunakan sebagai alternatif pemanas kandang ayam. Pemanas kandang ayam pedaging berbasis biogas yang dikembangkan berbahan dasar feses sapi yang diferementasi. Limbah hasil fermentasi biogas berupa pupuk organik dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik. Pupuk organik ini dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia pada sektor pertanian di Desa Sadamantra.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students’ difficulties in understanding abstract, complex, and dynamic concepts in the learning process of the Engineering Materials course. The course is very important because it is indispensable for advanced study program expertise courses. The purpose of the research is to analyze the impact of using the e-book Multimedia Animation (e-MMA) in the learning process of engineering materials courses on improving students’ learning outcomes in the crystal structure subject. The research used an experimental method with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Two groups were assessed from two classes in Engineering Department randomly selected as the research sample. The subject that becomes the focus of this study is Crystal Structure to understand Concept Mastery and Problem-solving aspects. Thus, there will be two competency data from the research results. The application of e-MMA in the learning process of engineering materials can improve student learning outcomes with an increase in the high category N-gain. The E-MMA is very effective in solving the problems of students in understanding crystal structure subject in engineering materials courses because of their ability to provide images and animations of abstract objects. Students can easily understand the concepts and formulas that exist in the crystal structure subject of engineering materials course

Abstract

Mixer blade is one of the tools used in the cement industry as a tool to mix the composition of raw cement into ready-to-use cement. However, in its use, damage is often caused when the mixing process takes place, there is material that is too hard and makes the blade break. Based on these problems, the author made a study entitled "Analysis of the Difference in Impact Strength of Mixer Blade Materials Due to the Heat Treatment Process". This study aims to determine the difference in impact strength received by the mixer blade material after the heat treatment process. The Heat Treatment processes carried out are Quenching, Carburizing, and Tempering. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The process of making specimens is carried out in the UPI Mechanical Engineering Education Design Production lab. The Heat Treatment process is carried out at the POLMAN Manufacturing Process Lab. And for the process of testing material properties, it is carried out at the Metallurgical Lab of UPI Mechanical Engineering Education. The material of this mixer blade is low carbon steel so that the carburizing process is chosen. The carburizing process was carried out with a carburizing medium (carburizer) a mixture of 60% coconut shell charcoal and 40% NaCo3 (weight ratio) at a temperature of 850°C and held for 90 minutes. Cooling is done by storing the specimen in the furnace so that cooling is slow. Followed by a tempering process at a temperature of 500°C and held for 60 minutes and carried out a quenching process with free air. There is a difference in the impact strength of the object from 1.84 J/mm2 to 0.81 J/mm2 and a difference in surface hardness from 85.67 HRB to 92.83 HRB.

Abstract

In education, Augmented Reality has been widely used to complement the standard curriculum. This article aims to examine how the application, and impact of the use of AR in Vocational Education. The Systematic Literature Review method is used to identify, study, evaluate, and interpret Augmented Reality in vocational education. Research data were identified by help of the PRISMA 2020 form. Article was collected from Science Direct database. There were 454 articles. After being selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria, the data used were 14 articles. The results of the study reveal that AR is applied in learning as an innovative learning medium, a new approach to learning to improve students' understanding of knowledge, and skills and provide a concrete learning experience. The integration of AR in education has the impact of increasing students' understanding and learning experience, promoting positive attitudes, making the learning process fun and interesting and learning efficiency.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan KTSP di sekolah masih mengalami hambatan pada unsur guru. Implementasi KTSP masih diwarnai minimnya sosialisasi dan kompetensi guru. Timbul pertanyaan bagaimana mungkin KTSP berhasil diterapkan di sekolah jika para guru masih belum memahami konsep, substansi, dan mekanisme pelaksanaan KTSP. Jika masalah ini dibiarkan maka akan sia-sia apa yang telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan penentu kebijakan pendidikan, sehingga dalam konteks ini perlu dipahami bahwa pentingnya kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru. Permasalahan di atas, diteliti melalui evaluasi implementasi KTSP pada aspek kompetensi wawasan kependidikan, akademik, dan pengembangan profesi menggunakan model perbandingan antara standar evaluasi dengan hasil observasi (standard vs observ). Subjek penelitian adalah guru Mata Diklat Teknik Gambar Mesin di SMKN 2 Bandung. Instrument penelitian berupa: observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi yang perangkatnya di jadment oleh ahlinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi wawasan kependidikan dibandingkan dengan rambu-rambu tuntutan kurikulum yang terdapat pada dokumen KTSP di SMK, diperoleh ketercapaian lima pulih koma sembilan puluh tujuh persen, kompetensi akademik keilmuan dan keterampilan diperoleh ketercapaian lima puluh delapan koma tiga persen, sedangkan kompetensi pengembangan profesi diperoleh ketercapaian tigapuluh depalan koma nol tujuh persen.

Abstract

The lack of understanding of students on 2D drawing modification material using CAD is the background for this research. The purpose of this study is to produce products in the form of video tutorial learning media, knowing the feasibility of experts, knowing user responses, and knowing the improvement of learning outcomes after using media. This study used quantitative research methods with a pre-experimental research design with the type of one group pre-test post-test design. Purposive sampling was conducted to select 34 samples from TPM grade XI learners. This research produces video tutorial learning media. The results of the feasibility assessment conducted by show that the video tutorial learning media that has been made is declared "very feasible". The results of media user responses obtained the category "very good". Learning outcomes after using video tutorial learning media have increased, this is reflected in the increase in student learning outcomes measured through the use of n-gain with an average score of 0.38 in the "medium" category. Thus, it can be concluded that this video tutorial learning media is very feasible for use on manufacturing engineering drawing elements.
