Abstract

Al-Azhar University is evidence of the oldest Islamic education in the world, which was founded during the Fatimid dynasty in Egypt and functions as a center for Islamic studies and a center for the spread of Isma'ili Shiite teachings. As time went by and changes in Islamic governments, the al-Azhar mosque turned into a madrasa to spread Sunni Islam and has now become a university that has produced many ulama figures who have given birth to new views and ideas for reform, thus influencing the development of education and the Islamic world throughout the world. This research aims to determine the dynamics of universities and educational reform in Egypt which have an impact on Muslims globally, including Indonesia. This research uses library research with references from books, articles and historical analysis of Al-Azhar. The results of this research are knowledge of al-Azhar from the Fatimid dynasty to the present, this motivates Muslims to continue studying and making the mosque prosperous and advancing Islamic education.

Abstract

In the Al-Qur’an and Hadith there are not prohibition for women in seeking knowledge. On the contrary, Islam requires or obliges women to seek knowledge as well as men. Science is like light that will illuminate women's footsteps into the future. A woman of knowledge must be elevated. Conversely, women who are ignorant and lack knowledge will only be considered as weak creatures who can be empowered, not empowered. Such is the importance of parent's knowledge, especially the knowledge of a woman (mother) who is able to make a child's soul character and character, good or bad, so that the obligation for children's education is directed at both parents when the child is still in the womb until he reaches adulthood. For this reason it is important for a woman (mother) have to be smart, so that the character of the mother descends on her children. As a woman (mother) who is assigned to be the first teacher for her children does not necessarily teach only what she knows, mothers who are able to give birth an intelligent generation for the homeland and nation must also have intelligence in themselves, for a woman is not wrong if have a high education in order to educate their children.

Abstract

Education is a necessity for every human being. Therefore, it is necessary for humans to be given a good and quality education. Today, the Western world is recognized as a more advanced and civilized nation. Therefore, the West is considered more capable of providing dynamic and varied new discoveries, as well as technology that makes a significant contribution to science. So that many parts of the world are oriented towards the West, especially regarding the development of science. As a result, many generations of Muslims are no longer aware of the Islamic figures who greatly influenced the progress of the world of education, so it is important to reintroduce Islamic figures who have a great influence on the progress of education. Among them is Imam Al-Ghazali. In today's modern era, it is very necessary to know Islamic figures who make a major contribution to the progress of the world of education. So that people do not forget Islamic figures who are basically able to influence and develop education in the Islamic world. Therefore, this article will discuss "Critical Study of Al-Ghazali's Islamic Education Thought". It is hoped that this research can color and add insight and understanding of Islamic education. The type of research used is library research. This library research is a study that collects data and information from various materials contained in literary sources. Here the results and discussion explain the biography of Al-Ghazali, the concept, classification and purpose of education according to Al-Ghazali

Abstract

AbstractThis study describes the results of the evaluation of the child-friendly pesantren programme in West Sumatra Province. The model used is CIPP with Mixed Method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews, concept mastery tests and child-friendly pesantren guidelines. Data analysis and programme evaluation procedures are described in this article.  The results of the context evaluation showed that violence, discrimination and harassment still occur in most Islamic boarding schools in West Sumatra province. The results of the input evaluation showed that the child-friendly pesantren program guidelines issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia have not been optimally socialised and the pesantren leaders, board of asatidz, santri and the community are aware of the child-friendly pesantren program but do not understand the concept, guidelines and technical instructions for child-friendly pesantren. The results of the process evaluation, namely monitoring designed to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of the child-friendly pesantren programme, have not been optimal. Not all pesantren have a child-friendly pesantren development team. For pesantren that already have a child-friendly pesantren team, the team members do not have relevant competencies. The evaluation of products or outputs and outcomes designed to assess programme outcomes and programme sustainability shows that the child-friendly pesantren programme launched and developed by the government and Islamic boarding schools has not run as expected.AbstrakPenelitian ini menjelaskan tentang hasil evaluasiprogram pesantren ramah anak di Provinsi Sumatera Barat.Model yang digunakanCIPP dengan metode Mixed Method. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, lembar observasi, wawancara, tespenguasaan konsep dan pedoman pesantren ramah anak. Analisis data dan prosedur evaluasi program dijelaskan dalam artikel ini.  Sampel penelitian adalah 23 pondok pesantren yang tersebar di 12 kabupaten kota di Provinsi Sumatera Barat.Hasil evaluasi konteks menunjukkan bahwa masih terjadi kekerasan, diskriminasi dan pelecehan di rata rata pondok pesantren di provinsi Sumatera Barat. Hasil evaluasi input  menunjukkan bahwa pedoman program pesantren ramah anak yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Agama, Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Republik Indonesia belum optimal disosialisasikan dan pimpinan pesantren,dewan asatidz,santri dan masyarakat mengetahui adanya program pesantren ramah anak tetapi belum memahami konsep, panduan dan petunjuk teknis pesantren ramah anak. Hasil evaluasi proses, yaitu monitoring yang dirancang untuk mengungkap kekuatan dan kelemahan pelaksanaan program pesantren ramah anak belum optimal. Belum semua pondok pesantren memiliki tim pengembang pesantren ramah anak. Bagi pesantren yang telah memiliki tim pesantren ramah anak, anggota tim belum memiliki kompetensi yang relevan. Evaluasi produk atau keluaran dan hasil yang dirancang untuk menilai hasil programdan keberlanjutan program menunjukkan bahwa program pesantren ramah anak yang diluncurkan dan dikembangan oleh pemerintah dan pondok pesantren belum berjalan seperti yang diharapkan.

Abstract

The evaluation of educational programs is designed to identify improvements needed in the education system. In practice, program evaluation also involves political dimensions that should be a concern for both evaluators and the parties being evaluated. Furthermore, the relationship between morality and individuals is also an integral part of the ethical code used in the assessment. This article aims to explain the importance of ethical and political aspects in the implementation of educational program evaluation. The research method used is a literature review in which the author gathers information related to the ethical and political aspects when evaluating educational programs. Research findings indicate that several factors influence the relationship between ethics and individuals in educational assessment, including religious beliefs, moral values embedded in culture, treatment by the educational community, messages conveyed through mass media, and environmental conditions

Abstract

Majelis ta'lim is one of the non-formal educational institutions that aim to increase faith and piety to Allah Swt and noble character for the congregation, as well as realizing mercy for the universe. In practice, majelis ta'lim is the most flexible place of Islamic teaching or education and is not bound by time.This study aims to determine how the existence of majelis ta'lim, its development and challenges as an Islamic educational institution.The type used in this study is Library Research where this library research is carried out with researchers not directly into the field but this research is carried out through research on written works and various kinds of literature available, be it through books, journals, magazines, newspapers, newspapers and so forth.The results showed that majelis ta'lim as one of the answers to the needs of citizens to the aspects of strengthening the science of religion and enlightenment of the soul emitted through the teaching of Islamic values. The flexibility of organizational management aspects owned by majelis ta'lim as a non-formal educational institution makes the presence of majelis ta'lim feel grounded in almost all elements of society. Majelis ta'lim became a unifying forum for society where all circles merged without the barriers of social classes that separated their togetherness.Keyword: Majelis Ta'lim; Development; Challenge. Abstrak Majelis ta’lim adalah salah satu lembaga pendidikan non-formal yang bertujuan meningkatkan keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada Allah Swt dan akhlak mulia bagi jamaahnya, serta mewujudkan rahmat bagi alam semesta. Dalam prakteknya, majelis ta’lim merupakan tempat pangajaran atau pendidikan agama Islam yang paling fleksibel dan tidak terikat oleh waktu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana keberadaan majelis ta’lim, perkembangan dan tantangannya sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam.Jenis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi pustaka (library research) dimana penelitian pustaka ini dilakukan dengan peneliti tidak terjun langsung ke lapangan tetapi penelitian ini dilakukan melalui penelurusan terhadap karya-karya tulis dan berbagai macam literature yang tersedia, baik itu melalui buku, jurnal, majalah, koran, surat kabar dan lain sebagainya.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa majelis ta’lim sebagai salah satu jawaban bagi kebutuhan warga masyarakat terhadap aspek pemantapan ilmu agama dan pencerahan jiwa yang dipancarkan melalui pengajaran nilai-nilai ajaran Islam. Kelenturan aspek manajemen keorganisasian yang dimiliki oleh majelis ta’lim sebagai lembaga pendidikan non-formal membuat kehadiran majelis ta’lim terasa membumi dalam hampir semua elemen-elemen masyarakat. Majelis ta’lim menjadi wadah pemersatu masyarakat di mana semua kalangan melebur tanpa sekat-sekat kelas sosial yang memisahkan kebersamaan mereka.Kata Kunci: Majelis Ta’lim; Perkembangan; Tantangan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan proses pembelajaran berbasis teknoligi informasi di pesantren, medorong pendidik/guru di pesantren menggunakan teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan dipadukan dengan kajian perpustakaan, sehingga akan mendapatkan konsep dan kajian yang mampu membawa pesantren ke era revolusi industeri 4.0. Permasalahan yang terjadi di pesantren antara lain proses pembelajaran di kelas masih terpusat pada guru, sumber pengetahuan utama masih berasal dari guru dan literasi yang berkembang masih calistung (membaca, menulis dan berhitung). Hasil penelitian antara lain; pimpinan pesantren dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi mengunakan Learning Management System (LMS), seperti; Google Classroom, Zoom Clouds Meeting, Schoology dan LMS lainnya. Sehingga proses pembelajaran tidak hanya terpusat pada guru tetapi terpusat pada peserta didik/santri dan literasi yang digunakan adalah literasi data, literasi manusia dan literasi teknologi. Kata Kunci: Revolusi Industri 4.0, pembelajaran, teknologi informasi.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the legacy of Islamic education at the beginning of its entry in the archipelago, analyze the surau tradition in inheriting Islamic education and analyze the pesantren tradition in inheriting Islamic education in the archipelago. The research method used in this study is the historical method. Surau and pesantren are traditional educational institutions that have long been rooted in the Muslim community in the archipelago. Both institutions have played an important role in maintaining the heritage of education in Indonesia. Surau and pesantren not only teach religious sciences, but also moral values and noble character. The teaching methods in surau and pesantren are holistic, emphasizing the balance of knowledge, morals, and spirituality. In addition, these two institutions are also the basis for the regeneration of Muslim scholars and intellectuals. Although there are now many modern Islamic educational institutions, surau and pesantren still exist because of their ability to adapt to the times without abandoning their traditional values. The maintenance of surau and pesantren is important to maintain the intellectual heritage and wealth of Islamic treasures in the midst of modernization. Optimizing the role of surau and pesantren in Islamic education is needed, among others, by revitalizing the curriculum, improving the quality of teachers, and economic empowerment. Thus, the heritage of Islamic education is maintained while being relevant to the needs of contemporary society. This article provides a comprehensive overview of how the surau and pesantren traditions are not only the protectors of Islamic values, but also the glue of local culture and the support of adaptive Islamic education in the face of changing times.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model to learning outcomes and learning motivation for Islamic Religious Education in class VII SMPIT Dar El Iman. This research is experimental. The research design uses a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Posttest Only Control Design research design. The population in this study was class VII students at SMPIT Dar El Iman for the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 62 students. Sampling uses saturated samples. Two classes are research subjects, namely class VII Makkah as the experimental class and class VII Medina as the control class. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the manual t-test method, the data value = 5.8 > the value = 1.679. So it can be concluded that it was rejected and accepted. The number of test participants in the experimental class was 31 people with an average score of 89 and test participants from the control class were 31 with an average of 72. This means "The learning outcomes of students who use the SAVI learning model are better than the learning outcomes of students who apply the learning model. commonly used by teachers.” The magnitude of the influence of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on the learning motivation of class VII students at Dar El Iman Middle School is 68.43% which is classified as good.
