Abstract

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction level of Jambi University alumni employers and aspects of higher education services that must be optimized to increase Jambi University alumni job satisfaction. The research method used is a survey method with a sampling technique that is Stratified Random Sampling, each strata is selected one sampling unit with a simple random sampling technique. Measurement of qualitative variables using a questionnaire in the form of questions with Summated Rating's Scala Likert which was tested for validity and reliability. Aspects of satisfaction analysis include: Integrity (ethics and morals), Expertise in the field of science (main competence), Broadness of insight between disciplines, Leadership, Teamwork, Foreign language skills, Communication skills, Use of information technology, and self-development. To analyze the determinants of the level of satisfaction of the Jambi University alumni employer used Path Analysis. The overall satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni is still lacking with a score of 73.78 or C. Then, the satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni who work in Government agencies (Provincial and Regency/City Governments) is still lacking with a value of 73.50 or C. Furthermore the satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni who work in companies (Private, BUMN, Foundation) is still lacking with a score of 74.76 or C. The ability of Jambi University alumni who work in government agencies and companies to solve problems is the biggest or most decisive factor on employer satisfaction Jambi University alumni.

Abstract

This study describes bureaucratic transparency, participation, and the rule of law, as well as the impediments to the application of Good Governance principles at the Sungai Kerjan Village Office. The findings indicated that the application of Good Governance principles at the Sungai Kerjan Village Office was good, but it should be improved again because there are several indicators that make service delivery less than optimal. According to the findings of the study, the indicators of the factors that impede the application of good governance principles to increase the capacity of public services in the process of managing a Business Certificate (SKU) at the Sungai Kerjan Village Office, Bungo Dani District, are as follows: 1) Internal variables (factors from within). Lack of understanding of the apparatus on Good Governance principles The Kelurahan's implementation of Good Governance is still ineffective due to a lack of understanding of the principles of good governance. 2) External variables (factors come from outside) a lack of community involvement Participation is a sign of democracy when people are included in the development and implementation of a plan. as well as accept responsibility in accordance with one's maturity and level of obligation Complaint or criticism services via question cards have not been operating effectively. With the budget, the implementation of using their own personal laptops has not been liquidated. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that there will be an increase in the quality of the Human Resources (HR) workforce in providing services and improving facilities and infrastructure, allowing for better and more optimal service implementation at the Sungai Kerjan Village Office.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the success rate of Artificial Insemination (AI) and Body Condition Score Analysis (SKT), and to determine the effect of HCS, body weight, and age of cattle on the success of Artificial Insemination (IB) in cattle in Tebo Regency. This research was conducted in Tebo Regency, namely in 3 sub-districts, Rimbo Ilir District, Rimbo Bujang District, and Rimbo Ulu District. The method used is a survey method. The sampling technique uses clustering. The data obtained were then processed using multiple linear regression and analyzed using t-test. The results show that the success rate of Artificial Insemination (IB) in the form of S/C in Tebo Regency is 1.56. The highest value of HCS in Tebo Regency is SKT with a moderate value of (3) as much as 41.18%. The body weight of livestock in Tebo Regency is 350.25 Kg, and the age ranges from 4-8 years. The results of this study revealed that the success of Artificial Insemination (IB) in Tebo Regency was good, there were differences in the value of SKT between sub-districts, and the value of SKT and body weight of livestock did not affect the success of Artificial Insemination (AI) in the form of S/C, while the age of livestock had an influence on the success of Artificial Insemination (IB) in the form of S/C.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a model of the inactive Village State-Owned Company factors in Jambi Province. This type of research is a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological type. This qualitative research analysis was assisted by using the Nvivo qualitative research software. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the main factors causing the inactivity of BUMDes in Jambi province can be divided into 3, which are BUMDes management factors, village officials, and the community.

Abstract

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused huge losses throughout the world. The main victims of this pandemic are micro, small & medium enterprises (SMEs), including Batik SMEs Industry. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it becomes the basis that there will be fundamental changes in business behavior and performance. In general, the ultimate goal of this research is to model the impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic on business behavior and business performance of Jambi Batik entrepreneurs. This study used qualitative research methods with phenomenological type. This qualitative research analysis will be assisted by using the Nvivo software. Based on research, it can be concluded that the downturn of these business entrepreneurs can be seen from their business behavior and business performance. In terms of business behavior, it can be seen that the batik business in Jambi province is experiencing downturn due to 3 reasons. These are Efficiency, Innovative and Creative, while in business performance, the downturn of batik business entrepreneurs in Jambi Province can be seen from 2 reasons, these are reduced profits and decreased sales turnover.

Abstract

The culinary industry grows and develops because of the phenomenon of the growth and development of the street food business. One of the developments in the way food and beverage is served is selling via trucks or “mobile restaurants”, better known as Food trucks. The growth of the Food Truck business shows significant growth due to the increasing behavior of people's consumption of food and beverages offered by the Food Truck media. This research is qualitative research. This study uses respondents who have made purchase transactions at the food truck business in Jambi City. At this qualitative stage, the themes and sub-themes of the research were obtained. The hedonic value theme has sub-themes in the form of fun, curiosity, entertainment, a variety of product flavors, hygienic factors, creativity, and innovation, as well as attracting attention. The utilitarian value theme has sub-themes in the form of time efficiency, affordable prices, practicality, and strategic location. While on the purchasing decision theme, there are sub-themes in the form of convenience when buying, information from friends and family and product attributes as needed.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pangan dan pakan fungsional merupakan bahan pangan atau pakan yang tidak hanya berperan sebagai sumber untuk pemenuhan nutrisi bagi manusia dan ternak namun juga mempunyai potensi membantu menjaga metabolism tubuh dan daya yahan tubuh. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PPM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Wanita Tani tentang kelor (Moringa oleifera) sebagai pangan dan pakan fungsional di masa pandemi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di KWT Melati Dusun Karang Mulyo, Muaro Jambi, Jambi. Pengenalan kelor dilakukan dengan menyediakan dan memberikan benih dan bibit serta informasi tentang kelor dan manfaatnya dengan metode Pendidikan Masyarakat melalui kegiatan penyuluhan. Setelah kegiatan PPM ini seluruh anggota KWT Melati telah mengetahui lebih banyak manfaat Moringa baik sebagai pangan maupun sebagai pakan ternak. Anggota KWT Melati sangat antusias untuk mengetahui proses fortifikasi pangan dengan Moringa. Anggota KWT Melati mau mengadopsi dengan menanam Moringa di lahan pekarangan setelah mengetahui Moringa sangat mudah untuk dibudidayakan dan manfaatnya sebagai pangan dan pakan fungsional. Kata Kunci: Moringa Oleifera, Pangan Dan Pakan Fungsional, Peningkatan Pengetahuan  ABSTRACT Functional food and feed are food or feed ingredients that not only act as a source of nutrition for humans and livestock but also have the potential to help maintain the body's metabolism and immune system. The purpose of this community service activity was to increase farmer women's understanding of Moringa oleifera as functional food and feed which is very useful during the Covid 19 pandemic. This activity was carried out at the Melati Women Farmers Group (WFG) Karang Mulyo Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The introduction of Moringa plants is done by providing Moringa seeds and seedlings as well as information about Moringa and its benefits with Public Education method through outreach activities. XXX. After the outreach activity, all members of WFG of Melati have known more benefits of Moringa for food as well as feed. Members of WFG are very enthusiastic to know how to process Moringa as food fortification. Members of WFG are willing to plant Moringa in their yard after learning that Moringa is very easy to be cultivated and its benefit for functional food and feed. Keywords: Moringa Oleifera, Functional Food And Feed, Knowledge Improvement

Abstract

This study aims to determine the levels of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide contained in wastewater as well as the degree of odor to the environment around the Jambi City Slaughterhouse. The research design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 sampling points as treatment, LI (cow and buffalo wastewater), L-II (swine wastewater), L-III (Mixed cow and buffalo liquid waste) , L-IV (Place of discharge of wastewater into public channels) and 4 replications. The observed variables were ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and environmental odor. Test results on the average ammonia content L-I = 124.75 ± 4.99; L-II = 60.25 ± 6.60; L-III = 108.50 ± 7.73 and L-IV = 95.50 ± 6.24. Test results on the average content of hydrogen sulfide L-I = 0.428 ± 0.08; L-II = 0.068 ± 0.10; L-III = 0.063 ± 0.09 and L-IV = 0.010 ± 0.00. The results showed that the ammonia and hydrogen sulfide content at the final outlet to the common channel decreased (P <0.01). From this study it can be concluded that the handling of Jambi City Slaughterhouse liquid waste when viewed from the ammonia and hydrogen sulfide content at the wastewater outlet to the public channels are 95.50 mg / L and 0.01 mg / L, respectively. The level of odor of the Jambi City Slaughterhouse waste was still smelled up to a distance of 178 m from the Slaughterhouse complex to community housing. Almost all respondents agreed that the level of odor that was smelled up to the level of odor, even from some respondents stated that the waste originating from Slaughterhouse was very smelly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Karo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada peternakan sapi perah di Kabupaten Karo Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survey, pengambilan data dilakukan secara sensus.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata produksi susu sapi perah FH di Kabupaten Karo yaitu 6,828 liter/hari/ekor. Produksi sapi perah di Kabupaten Karo masih kurang dibandingkan dengan jumlah rata-rata produksi susu sapi perah FH yaitu 10 liter/hari/ekor. Analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan nilai koefiesien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,968 artinya bahwa 96,80% variasi produksi susu sapi perah ditentukan oleh variasi jumlah pakan, jumlah air minum, umur ternak, luas kandang dan interval pemerahan, sementara 3,20% ditentukan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. Pengujian dengan menggunakan ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan jumlah pakan, jumlah air minum, umur ternak, luas kandang dan interval pemerahan berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Karo. Secara parsial jumlah pakan dan interval pemerahan mempengaruhi produksi susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Karo.

Abstract

The research aimed was to assess the technical, institutional, commercial, financial and economic feasibility of integration model of cattle production with sugarcane farming and its effect on the prosperity of farmers in Kayu Aro Barat District, Kerinci Regency. The method used was survey method with Stratified Random Sampling technique.  Sampling technque consisted of 2 strata i.e. strata I was sugarcane farmers who integrate to cattle production, and strata II was sugarcane farmers who not integrate to cattle production. Each index used present value from cost and benefit flows that were NPV, Net B/C ratio and IRR. For assessing the effect of integration model of cattle production with sugarcane farming on the prosperity of farmer was used path analysis. The study found that integration cattle production with sugarcane farming in Kayu Aro Barat District, Kerinci Regency  was feasible.  Technical, commercial, financial and economical  aspects were partially affect to farmers’ prosperity  in Kayu Aro Barat District, Kerinci Regency.   Key words : Integration model, catlle production, sugarcane
