Abstract

Crustacea merupakan filum Arthopoda beradabtasi pada ekosistem mangrove di air laut ataupun di air tawar. Crustacea suatu invertebrata mempunyai enam kelas yaitu Branchiopoda, Remipedia, Cephalocarida, Maxillopoda, Ostracoda dan Malacostraca. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober  2021 sampai Januari 2022. Tujuan penelitian Untuk megetahui Stuktur komunitas crustacea  di kawasan vegetasi mangrove Desa lhok Rigaih, Kecamatan Setia, Bakti, Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Metode  penelitian  yang digunakan yaitu Teknik Purposive sampling. ukuran translek 25x25 m. Dimana Pengambilan sampel Crustacea yang terdapat di permukan subtrat diambil dengan menggunakan tangan ( hand picking ) sampel yang berada didalam substrat diambil mengunakan sekop dengan kedalaman 20 cm, dan crustacea yang berada dalam perairan diambil menggunakan alat bantu ( bubu). Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian yaitu Clibanarius longitarsu, Coenobita sp, Thalamita crenata, Scylla serrata, Metaplax sp, Uca sp, Penaeus mergueinsis dan Fenneropenaeus  merguiensi. Para meter fisika kimiya pegukuran kualitas perairan, pegukuran  Suhu 25 - 30 °C, salinitas perairan berkisar 21- 28  ppt, pH berkisar 6- 4- 9  DO perairan berkisar 4-2-7-4 ppm. Pegukuran suhu merupakan faktor penting untuk pertubuhan biota karena dapat mempengaruhi terhadap perkembangan organisme laut yaitu crustacea.

Abstract

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the giving of baker yeast and taurine mixture in culture media on the population density of Daphnia sp.. The completely randomized design method was used in this study with four treatments and four replications. The treatments studied were the giving of chicken manure 1 g/l as control (P0), the giving of baker yeast and taurine mixture 1 g/l (P1), the giving of baker yeast and taurine mixture 2,5 g/l (P2), and the giving of baker yeast and taurine mixture 4 g/l (P3). Daphnia sp. stocking density was 100 individu/l with the size of  1,5-2 mm. The culture period of Daphnia sp. culture was 16 days. The parameters observed in this study are population density, peak population, and water quality parameters. The ANOVA test showed that the giving of yeast and taurine mix in culture media gave significant effect on the population density of Daphnia sp. Population density of  Daphnia sp. the highest was obtained in the treatment of giving 2.5 g / l of baker yeast and taurine mix in cultural media (P2) which is 1320,35 Ind / l with a peak population on the 10th day.

Abstract

Salah satu fungsi ekologis mangrove adalah sebagai habitat berbagai biota perairan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari 2022 di Pusat Pembelajaran dan Restorasi Mangrove Kabupaten Simeulue. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi lingkungan dan keanekaragaman jenis biota asosiasi di Pusat Restorasi dan Pembelajaran Mangrove Kabupaten Simeulue. Data biota asosiasi dikumpulkan dengan metode sensus dengan mengidentifikasi setiap biota yang ditemukan di empat stasiun pengamatan. Parameter kondisi lingkungan yang diamati adalah jumlah sampah, jumlah penebangan, pH, suhu, salinitas, dan DO. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi, biota asosiasi yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian berjumlah 6 famili yang terdiri dari 6 spesies yaitu Terebralia palustris, Uca sp., Neritina gagates, Turritella duplikat, Rhizoprionodon acutus, dan Vanarus salvator. Biota asosiasi yang dominan ditemukan adalah Terebralia palustris dari kelas Gastropoda. Hasil pengamatan kualitas lingkungan ditemukan 12 bekas tebangan kayu dan 19 sampah plastik, namun dari segi kualitas perairan masih tergolong baik bagi biota perairan dan sesuai dengan parameter baku mutu lingkungan perairan laut berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup No. 51 Tahun 2004.

Abstract

Perubahan terhadap kualitas perairan mempunyai keterkaitan yang erat dengan potensi perairan dapat dilihat dari Kelimpahan dan komposisi fitoplanklon. Fitoplankton dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator atau parameter tingkat kesuburan suatu perairan. Perairan laut ceh Barat merupakan daerah yang diperuntukkan sebagai wilayah bongkar muat batu bara. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui kesuburan perairan berdasarkan itu fitoplankton dan indeks saprobik. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tujuh stasiun yang berbeda selama satu kali pengambilan data dimana stasiun 1, stasiun 4, dan stasiun 7 merupakan perairan yang kurang terjadi aktivitas manusia maupun industri sedangkan stasiun 3 merupakan muara sungai dan stasiun 2, stasiun 5 dan stasiun 6 merupakan tempat industri. Jenis fitoplankton yang ditemukan pada perairan laut Aceh Barat selama pengamatan terdiri dari tiga kelas yaitu Bacillariaphyceae, dinophyceae dan choloraphyceae. Kelimpahan fitoplankton di perairan laut Aceh Barat berkisar antara 6,29-167,45 ind/l. Hasil kesuburan perairan didapati nilai 0,6 dikategorikan kedalam perairan β-mesosaprobik dengan pencemaran ringan sampai sedang.hasil pengelompokan stastus trofik perairan Nitrat tegolong katagori oligotrofik dengan nilai 0,07 – 0,9 mg/l sedangkan fosfat tergolong kedalam mesotrofik dengan nilai 0,09 – 0,19. Hasil analisis regresi berganda didapati pengaruh fosfat dan nitrat terhadap fitoplankton adalah sebesar 40,2% hal ini dikategorikan sangat lemah sedangkan 59,8% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

Banyak Island is an island located in Aceh province, precisely in Aceh Singkil district. The people of Banyak Island often consume food whose packaging is made of plastic, and then it ends up in the sea. Island community waste thrown into the sea will enter and potentially pollute the marine ecosystem and the biota within it. This research aims to identify the type of composition and abundance of microplastics found in the digestive tract of sea cucumbers on Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil, in terms of the shape and abundance of microplastics. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis method, which is based on photos taken with a microscope. Based on the research results, the species composition ranged from 50-114 particles/g, and the abundance of microplastics obtained was 0.2-11.4 particles/g. It was dominated by microplastic pellets, fibers, and films, with the pellet type being the first. Judging from the large amount of microplastic content found in the digestive tract of sea cucumbers on Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil, they can be categorized into types of sea cucumbers that are still suitable for consumption and sale, but if done continuously, can trigger the growth of if done frequently and over a long period, it will cause adverse effects for humans who consume it

Abstract

The sea cucumber is one of the organisms from the Echinodermata phylum, Holothuridae class. Sea cucumbers (Holothuria) can be found throughout the coastal waters, ranging from shallow tidal areas to deeper waters. This study aims to determine the species composition and economic value of sea cucumbers in Banyak Island waters. This research was conducted from August to September 2023, coinciding in the waters of Banyak Island Aceh Singkil. The research method was carried out by identifying sea cucumber documentation collected directly from local fishermen and conducting direct interviews with collectors who operate to obtain information about the selling price of sea cucumbers. Based on observations, sea cucumbers obtained in the waters of Banyak Island consist of several species in 2 families. The composition of sea cucumber species obtained includes Holothuria atra, H. fuscocinerea, H.edulis, H. fuscopunctata, and Stichopus pseudohorrens. Sea cucumbers found by fishermen have varying economic values, from cheap to expensive prices. The price is influenced by various factors, including the type of sea cucumber and its weight. Each type of sea cucumber has a different selling value, and its weight size is one of the main determining factors in the selling price

Abstract

Chlorophyll-a has an important role in determining the trophic status and estimation of the fertility level of waters. The aim of this study was to analyze the variability of the concentration of chlorophyll-a on the coast of Southwest Aceh. This study uses remote sensing technology using Aqua MODIS imagery, the image used is an annual Level 3 Standard Mapped Image (SMI) chlorophyll-a image with a period of 7 years from 2015 to 2021 and has a spatial resolution of 4 km. The image is processed using software, namely SeaDAS and ArcMap. The results of this study showed that the distribution of the highest annual chlorophyll-a concentration was in 2019 at 0.29 – 2.27 mg/m3, and the lowest chlorophyll-a concentration was found in 2020 ranging from 0.29 – 1.02 mg/m3. The average concentration of chlorophyll-a in Southwest Aceh waters for 7 years (2015-2021) shows a low chlorophyll-a concentration ranging from 0.29 to 1.22 mg/m3 and belongs to oligotrophic and mesotrophic waters.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Ekosistem hutan mangrove di Indonesia memiliki fungsi ekonomis dan ekologis. Salah satu dari potensi ekonomis mangrove R. apiculata merupakan bahan alami yang berfungsi sebagai bioaktif yang digunakan dalam pengobatan bagi manusia maupun hewan. Masyarakat pesisir juga menggunakan daun mangrove sebagai bahan pembuatan produk minuman berkhasiat. Selanjutnya potensi ekologis yaitu menjadi penahan ombak laut dan sebagai habitat biota. Namun, kandungan senyawa daun mangrove yang dikumpulkan dari sekitaran Pantai Lhok Bubon dapat mempengaruhi kelangsungan hidup ikan dan memiliki pengaruh langsung dengan perubahan parameter kualitas perairan. Dampak perendaman daun mangrove ini beresiko mengganggu aktivitas fisiologis ikan kemudian jika perairan mengalami perubahan faktor fisika dan kimia perairan dapat menghasilkan toksik bagi berbagai biota. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai LC50-96 jam selama perendaman daun R. apiculata yang berdampak toksik terhadap biota uji. Biota uji yang digunakan adalah ikan molly (Poecilia sp.) yang biasanya digunakan untuk indikator perubahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penentuan konsentrasi antara lain 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% kemudian dianalisis melalui metode analisis probit. Hasil penelitian memiliki nilai LC50-96 jam yang diperoleh dari hasil komposit seluruh perlakuan konsentrasi dari perendaman daun R. apiculata sebesar 559.16 ppm yang artinya termasuk kategori toksik rendah. Meskipun demikian, persentase tingkat toksisitas menunjukkan sebesar 6% sehingga dapat menyebabkan kematian ikan. Kata kunci: LC50-96 jam, toksisitas, mortalitas ikan ABSTRACT  Mangrove forest ecosystems in Indonesia have economic and ecological functions. One of the economic potentials of R. apiculata mangrove is a natural ingredient that functions as a bioactive used in medicine for humans and animals. Coastal communities also use mangrove leaves as ingredients for making nutritious beverage products. Furthermore, the ecological potential is as a barrier to sea waves and as a habitat for biota. However, the content of compounds in mangrove leaves collected from Lhok Bubon coast that can affect the survival of fish directly influences changes in water quality parameters. The impact of soaking mangrove leaves is at risk of disrupting the physiological activity of fish, then if the waters experience changes in physical and chemical factors, it can produce toxins for various biota. This study aimed to determine the LC50-96 hour value during immersing R. apiculata leaves which have a toxic impact on the test biota. The test biota used was mollyfish (Poecilia sp.) which is usually used as an indicator of environmental change. This study was conducted by determining concentrations including 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% then analyzed using the probit analysis method. The results showed an LC50-96 hour value obtained from the composite results of all concentration treatments from soaking R. apiculata leaves of 559.16 ppm, which means it is included in the low toxic category. However, the percentage of toxicity level showed 6% so that it could induce fish mortality. Keywords:  LC50-96 hour, toxicity, fish mortality
