Abstract

Character education can be implemented in the world of education through the school culture adopted. Therefore, this study aims to determine the role of school culture in shaping students' disciplinary character as preparation for entering the world of work. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The data collection technique used the interview method. There are research subjects including the Head of Student Affairs, Guardian Teachers, parents, and students who are determined based on the limitations of the research problem. the results concluded that: (1) SMK PGRI 3 Malang has a school culture as an effort to shape students' disciplinary character through programs, policies, behavior monitoring and evaluation of the achievement of students' disciplinary character building with the aim of preparing students to enter the world of work, (2) the role in shaping disciplinary character is carried out by all school residents and parents, (3) there are supporting factors in the form of teachers and employees becoming role models, support from guardian teachers who collaborate with parents, clear rules, extracurricular activities and available facilities and (4) there are inhibiting factors, namely student awareness, the environment outside the school and social media. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the internalization of ethical behavior values in local language lessons to improve student politeness. The progression of times has led to a decline in student politeness, necessitating teachers to take action to address this issue. One method employed by guidance and counseling teachers at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang is incorporating ethical behavior values into local language lessons, particularly in the sections on etiquette and politeness. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with five tenth-grade students. The results indicate that local language plays a significant role in enhancing politeness, as the subject contains several materials related to etiquette and politeness. Local language lessons accompanied by the internalization of ethical behavior values have helped students improve their politeness.

Abstract

Efforts to improve student academic achievement are not only the responsibility of the student but also require the role of guardian teachers and guidance and counseling teachers at school as supporters of successful student achievement. This research aims to determine the form of collaboration between guardian teachers and guidance counselors in improving student academic achievement. This research design uses a qualitative-descriptive research method with the subjects being guidance counselors, guardian teachers and students. The data collection instrument used interviews and was analyzed descriptively. Research findings show that there is effective collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and guardian teachers in improving student academic achievement. It is hoped that the results of this research can be a reference for guidance and counseling teachers and guardian teachers in improving students' academic achievement, especially in vocational schools.
