The population size is 1,545 people and the samples are 94 people is determined using the Slovin formula. Analysis of technical efficiency were analyzed using a stochastic frontier production function, allocative efficiency were analyzed using a cost function where the data analysis used the Front4.1 application. Economics efficiency is combination between technical efficiency and allocative efficiency. The results showed the level of efficiency achieved in corn farming in the agropolitan area of Ciamis Regency were efficient (>0.70), with an average of 0.88 for technical efficiency; an average of 0.81 for allocative efficiency; and an average of 0.72 for economics efficiency

Abstract

ABSTRACT Food security is a priority in national development, and developing high-quality rice seeds is one of the main strategies to achieve it. This study was conducted to formulate strategies for developing rice seeds at CV PTSC to support food security. The research was carried out at CV PTSC in Ciamis Regency using a purposive sampling technique, considering that this company is the sole producer of rice seeds in the Priangan Timur region. The data used in this study comprised primary and secondary data collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders. Respondents included the management of CV PTSC, partners (traders and farmers), academics, and government institutions such as the Agricultural Office and the Seed Supervision and Certification Center (BPSBTPH) of West Java Province. The research employed a case study method, with data analyzed using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) approach to identify internal and external factors affecting business development. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to determine the priority of strategies based on the weight of each factor. The results indicated that CV PTSC has significant potential to leverage internal strengths such as technological innovation and an extensive distribution network while addressing external threats like climate change and market competition. Based on the AHP analysis, the recommended priority strategies are as follows: first, expanding partnerships from upstream to downstream to support the production and marketing of seeds, with a weight of 0.99; second, Promoting digital marketing and collaborating with relevant institutions to enhance seed marketing, with a weight of 0.96. Third, seed quality in terms of cultivation practices and certification by seed certification agencies should be improved, with a weight of 0.92.

Rice is a basic necessity that must be fulfilled by humans at all times. PT XYZ in Ciamis Regency, which partners with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and also the local government of Pamarican Sub-District, has the main task of organizing quality staple food logistics and maintaining food stability. The purpose of this research is 1) to analyze the rice inventory system based on the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. 2) to analyze the efficiency of PT XYZ's rice inventory costs by comparing the actual inventory costs with the effective inventory costs. The research period began from July 2023 to June 2024. The research method used a case study approach with quantitative analysis. This research was conducted at Jalan Raya Pamarican - Banjar KM 1.3 RT. 002 RW.001 Dusun Cibenda, Neglasari Village, Pamarican Sub-District, Ciamis Regency. The results showed that the rice inventory system based on the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method obtained a total inventory cost of Rp521.419.740,66, which means that this cost is less than the actual cost that the company must incur of Rp580.792.800. So there is a cost efficiency of Rp59.373.059,34, or 10,22% of the total inventory cost using the EOQ method.

Abstract

This research aims to know the general description of the supply chain and the performance of the Arabica coffee supply chain at UPH Pusparahayu, Cigalontang District—, using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The location for the research was determined purposively, namely at UPH Pusparahyu, because it acts as the most significant coffee processing unit in the area and accommodates supplies from many farmers. The method of data analysis to find out the general description of the supply chain uses the concept of Food Supply Chain Networks (FSCN). Supply chain performance measurement was analyzed using the Supply-Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method, which has five assessment attributes: reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, assets, and cost. The results of the study show an overview of the Arabica coffee supply chain in Cigalontang District, among others targeting the domestic market; the market structure consists of farmers, UPH Pusparahayu, and coffee shops; business process refers to a push or pull view with a variety of modern resources at the UPH level; and have supply chain management that is still conventional in terms of contracts and partner selection. Supply chain performance at the farm level for reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, and assets has reached a superior position, but the cost attribute is in a place of parity. In contrast, the results of performance measurements at the UPH level show an excellent post on reliability, responsiveness, and flexibility. Meanwhile, the asset and cost attributes have not reached the best position.
