Abstract

Curriculum development is a broad term in education that includes planning, implementation and evaluation. Changes to the school curriculum in Indonesia itself are based on the results of domestic and foreign research related to the learning crisis in Indonesia, one result of which is that many Indonesian children cannot understand simple or straightforward reading and apply accurate concepts and learning. Another observation is that there is a large educational gap between regions and social groups. So, to overcome the crisis with these various challenges requires systemic changes, one of which is through the curriculum, because the curriculum can determine the material used in the learning, the curriculum can also affect the pace and methods of teaching according to the teacher's learning needs. This study aims to describe the Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in PAI Learning in the Era of Society 5.0 at Bustanul 'Ulum Anak Tuha High School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. According to Lofland quoted by Lexy J. Moleong, that in qualitative research the main data sources are words and actions, data such as documents and others are called additional data. In this study, researchers obtained data by interview, observation and documentation. Then the data was analyzed by using three techniques, namely: Data condensation, Data Presentation, Conclusion Drawing and data validity testing. The results of the discussion show that the renewal (innovation) method used when learning Islamic Religious Education is to use the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) method or learning strategy. Teachers use several different approaches, strategies, methods and learning techniques in teaching. With this learning model students can more easily understand the material, enjoy learning and develop their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi ketegangan agama melalui kacamata perdamaian, keadilan, dan hak asasi manusia, dengan rekomendasi konsep "Hidup Berdampingan yang Dimoderasi" sebagai pendekatan proaktif dalam mengelola keberagaman. Didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip seperti dialog yang saling menghormati, resolusi konflik, dan pembangunan komunitas, hidup berdampingan yang dimoderasi bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan lingkungan yang harmonis di mana beragam komunitas dapat hidup berdampingan tanpa mengorbankan identitas. Pentingnya permasalahan ini perlu digarisbawahi, mengingat dampak global dari ketegangan agama terhadap perdamaian, keadilan, dan hak asasi manusia. Kajian ini menarik perhatian pada peran agama dalam memajukan perdamaian budaya, seperti yang dicontohkan oleh inisiatif UNESCO, dan mengkaji contoh-contoh di dunia nyata, seperti konflik Israel-Palestina, hingga menyoroti ketegangan agama dalam skala global. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai ketegangan agama dan kaitannya dengan perdamaian, keadilan, dan kemanusiaan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan multifaset, penelitian ini mencakup refleksi literatur secara menyeluruh yang menangkap perspektif sejarah dan kontemporer, serta metode kualitatif untuk mendapatkan wawasan dari contoh kehidupan nyata yang dimoderasi. Keterkaitan antara perdamaian, keadilan, dan hak asasi manusia merupakan bagian integral dari kehidupan berdampingan secara efektif dan moderat. Dengan menerapkan hidup berdampingan secara moderat dan berlandaskan prinsip-prinsip perdamaian, keadilan, dan hak asasi manusia, masyarakat dapat memahami kompleksitas dunia yang saling terkait dengan komitmen terhadap inklusivitas, kesetaraan, dan upaya berkelanjutan untuk hidup berdampingan secara damai. Studi ini menganjurkan penelitian lebih lanjut dan implementasi praktis untuk menyempurnakan pendekatan dan mendorong kehidupan berdampingan secara harmonis dalam konteks agama yang beragam.

Abstract

Character education in Indonesia has become a central concern, particularly in shaping students' personalities in schools. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling character values at SMK Al Hadiid. The focus of this research includes the methods used by teachers in character development, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, involving five PAI teachers and ten students as the subjects. The findings indicate that PAI teachers at SMK Al Hadiid play a vital role in creating a learning environment that fosters character values such as discipline, responsibility, and creativity through methods of role modeling, advice, demonstration, and discussion. Key supporting factors include facilities that support religious education and storytelling media, while major obstacles stem from a lack of parental attention, the influence of social environment, and mass media. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community in instilling character values, as well as the need for supervision over external influences that may hinder students' character development. ABSTRAKPendidikan karakter di Indonesia semakin menjadi perhatian utama, terutama dalam pembentukan kepribadian siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter di SMK Al Hadiid. Fokus penelitian meliputi metode yang digunakan guru dalam pembentukan karakter, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam proses tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian melibatkan lima guru PAI dan sepuluh siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI di SMK Al Hadiid berperan penting dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang mendukung nilai-nilai karakter seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kreativitas melalui metode keteladanan, nasehat, demonstrasi, dan diskusi. Faktor pendukung utama termasuk fasilitas yang mendukung pembelajaran agama dan media bercerita, sementara hambatan utama berasal dari kurangnya perhatian orang tua, pengaruh lingkungan sosial, dan media massa. Simpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat dalam menanamkan nilai karakter, serta perlunya pengawasan terhadap pengaruh eksternal yang dapat menghambat pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

Akidah Akhlak learning in Madrasah Aliyah has an important role in shaping student character according to Islamic values. However, challenges arise when the millennial generation who are familiar with technology and active learning patterns show disinterest in conventional learning methods. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the millennial generation at Hamzanwadi Madrasah Aliyah, develop relevant Akidah Akhlak learning innovations, and analyse their effectiveness in improving students' understanding and practice of Islamic values. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that technology-based approaches, such as the use of interactive media and project-based learning, are able to increase students' interest in learning. Contextualised learning that is relevant to students' daily lives also proved effective in instilling Akidah Akhlak values. The study recommends continuous development in technology-based learning innovations and active collaboration between teachers, students and parents to strengthen learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Talaqqi method in improving the quality of reading of Tahfidz students at the Daarul Syuhada Modern Islamic Boarding School in Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra. By using Descriptive Qualitative Methodology. The subject is located at the Modern Daarul Syuhada Islamic Boarding School in Tebing Tinggi City. Data collection used is observation, interview, and documentation. And the results of the study are that the improvement of memorization of the Koran through the planning process, implementation using the talaqqi method, the result is that many students have improved their memorization and are in accordance with the targets set by the ustadz. The indication is that the average target is 80% of 25 students. There are supporting factors in improving memorization using this method, namely Tahsin learning always runs every day, support from parents, a comfortable place to memorize the Koran. Then as for the inhibiting factors of these activities, the lack of Tahfidz subject teachers, there is laziness in students and lack of time management.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in the formation of students' moderate character, especially in the digital era that is filled with various information and external influences. This study aims to analyse the challenges and opportunities faced in the implementation of the Islamic Education curriculum in schools, as well as to design a curriculum reconstruction model that can build students' moderate character through the use of digital technology. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with content analysis of the existing PAI curriculum, as well as interviews with educators and curriculum experts. The results showed that the current PAI curriculum has not fully accommodated technological developments and has not been optimal in shaping inclusive moderate character. Therefore, a curriculum reconstruction is needed that not only integrates technology as a medium of learning, but also instils religious moderation values that are adaptive to the dynamics of the times. The reconstruction model proposed in this research aims to produce a curriculum that is more responsive and relevant for students in the digital era.

Abstract

This research explores the concept of character education for pre-school children based on the perspectives of Ki Hajar Dewantara and Maria Montessori. This research uses a qualitative approach with a comparative analysis method to highlight the similarities and differences of these two educational pioneers. Ki Hajar Dewantara emphasised the integration of local wisdom, independence, and moral values through the principles of ‘Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha’ (setting an example), ‘Ing Madya Mangun Karsa’ (building motivation), and ‘Tut Wuri Handayani’ (supporting from behind). In contrast, Maria Montessori focused on developing independence, discipline, and a sense of responsibility through structured learning environments, individualised learning plans, and the use of didactic materials. Despite their different cultural and historical contexts, both approaches share the common goal of fostering children's character as a foundation for lifelong development. The study concludes by emphasising the relevance of these two perspectives in designing a holistic character education model that addresses cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions for early childhood education.

Abstract

Low student engagement and understanding in the learning process is one of the main challenges in formal education today. Traditional learning methods that tend to be one-way are often unable to facilitate students' active participation, thus hindering the process of understanding the material optimally. This research aims to explore innovative interactive learning methods as a solution to improve student engagement and understanding in the classroom. The method used in this research is literature study and data analysis from observations in several schools that have implemented interactive learning techniques, such as group discussions, simulations, and the use of digital technology. The results showed that the implementation of interactive learning methods significantly increased student engagement by 40% compared to conventional methods. In addition, students' understanding of the subject matter increases along with the high participation in learning activities. The use of interactive media, such as learning videos and educational applications, also had a positive impact on students' motivation to learn more actively. The implication of this research shows that the integration of interactive learning methods in the curriculum can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of classroom learning and shaping a more dynamic learning environment.

Abstract

Islamic education faces great challenges in integrating religious values with modern science in the midst of rapid social and technological change. amid rapid social and technological changes. This research aims to formulate an Islamic education paradigm that is relevant and able to overcome the problems between science and religion. and religion.
