Abstract

The welfare of teachers plays an important role in improving the quality of education and professional performance. This article explores various dimensions of teacher well-being, including economic, psychological, and social aspects, and their impact on work motivation, competence, and teaching performance. The analysis also includes the influence of certification, workload, and role model teacher figures in building student readiness for a career as an educator. Self-efficacy is identified as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between teacher well-being and career readiness. This study uses a literature approach to understand the relationship between welfare policies, work motivation, and improving education quality. The results emphasize the importance of fair and inclusive welfare policies, accompanied by competency-based training programs, to support teachers as the spearhead of national education in the digital era. This article recommends strengthening synergy between the government, educational institutions, and the community to create a sustainable, quality education ecosystem.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, teknologi sangat penting untuk kesetaraan pendidikan, terutama di daerah pedesaan yang memiliki akses terbatas. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana kemajuan teknologi dapat meningkatkan akses pendidikan dan menutup kesenjangan antara daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan teknologi termasuk e-learning dan aplikasi pembelajaran mobile dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan tinjauan literatur. Menurut penelitian ini, yang didasarkan pada studi literatur terhadap 15 jurnal nasional yang diakui, teknologi meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, mempermudah pembelajaran jarak jauh, dan mendorong strategi pengajaran yang kreatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana teknologi dapat membantu mengatasi kesenjangan pendidikan di Indonesia, terutama yang terjadi antara daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Namun, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan beberapa masalah penting, termasuk pelatihan yang tidak memadai untuk guru, kesenjangan dalam literasi teknologi, dan kurangnya infrastruktur digital. Kerja sama lintas sektor untuk menciptakan sistem pendidikan digital inklusif yang mendukung Indonesia Emas 2045 adalah salah satu solusi yang disarankan.

Abstract

This study is identifying elementary schools teacher attitudes towards video conferencing platform implementation during Covid-19 pandemic. The research aims include (1) to identify teachers™ attitude towards implementing video conferencing platforms for learning (2) to identify teachers' challenges encountered during implementing video conferencing and how to overcome that challenge. The 103 elementary schools teachers were included. The teacher selected by simple random sampling techniques. The questionnaire's content is based on teachers' attitudes toward using video conferencing in the classroom during the COVID-19 epidemic, as measured by the following indicators: efficiency, effectiveness, motivation, and variety of obstacles. The elementary schools teachers™ attitude shows positive responses to video conferencing in learning such as providing various learning activities, providing flexibility in teaching process, easiness to access learning materials, and ease in assessing and monitoring students' learning progress. Furthermore, the result reveals the majority of the elementary schools teachers faced technical issues and availability as obstacles in implementing a video conferencing platform. The majority of elementary schools teachers were able to resolve these technological difficulties by exploring other teaching strategies and seeking professional advice.
