Abstract

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of cinnamic acid and 3-phenyl propanoic acid and also virtual screening of the methyl trans-cinnamate derivatives were carried out on the COX-2 enzyme.Methodology: The cinnamic acid and 3-phenylpropanoic acid were tested for anti-inflamatory activity in vivo using carageenan-induced rat paws edema method. Thirty male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups: control group, Na diclofenac (0.45 mg/kg body weight), ibuprofen (7.2 mg/kg body weight ), cinnamic acid (14.4 mg/kg body weight) and 3-phenyl propionate acid (14.4 mg/kg body weight). Paw edema was observed using a plethysmometer for 46 hours, these were at 0, 0.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 22, 29 and 46 hours. Each compound of methyl trans-cinnamate derivatives to be performed molecular docking, virtual constructed in the form of two-dimensional (2D) using BKChem application. The simulation molecular docking using PLANTS 1.1. The structure of methyl trans-cinnamate derivatives was characterized by IR, melting point, UV, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectral analysis. Results: The result showed that antiinflamatory activity of Na diclofenac, ibuprofen, cinnamic acid, and 3-phenil propionic acid were -20,6 %, -3,7 %, -43,2 %, 27,7 % respectively. These results showed only 3-phenil propionic acid could reduce edema in the rats’ paw. The docking results show that cinnamic acid, 3-phenyl propanoic acid and 3- (4-benzoylphenyl) propanoic acid are predict to have activity as COX-2 inhibitors.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the roles, functions, and problems of coaching supervisors and school principals. This research was conducted using a literature study method with a systematic approach. The data sources used are scientific articles, books, and research reports published in the 2014-2024 period. Literature searches are carried out through academic databases, namely Google Scholar using keywords relevant to the research topic. Data analysis is carried out by identifying the main themes and synthesizing findings from various sources to obtain comprehensive conclusions. The results of the analysis show that supervisors and school principals play a vital role in improving the quality of education. However, challenges in motivation, resource dispersal, and quality culture need to be overcome so that they can carry out their duties more effectively. Sustainable, need-based coaching from teachers and collaborative supervision are essential to achieve national education goals optimally.

Abstract

This discussion starts from the problem, namely how to compare the career maturity of MAN students with high school students. Career maturity is the level at which individuals have mastered the tasks of career development, both knowledge and attitude components, which are in accordance with the stage of career development and career maturity is also an individual's ability to make the right career choices, including awareness of what is needed to make career decisions and level of career development. where individual choices are realistic and consistent. This study aims to determine and obtain data about the career maturity of MAN students and high school students, so whether there is a difference in career maturity between MAN students and high school students. The population of this research is SMA and MAN in Tanah Datar, the samples are MAN 2 Batusangkar and SMA 1 Pariangan. By taking samples at these schools by means of cluster random sampling, from the sampling, the samples were selected for local class X 1, class XI 1 local and class XII 1 local each school with a sample of 179 students. The type of research used is comparative descriptive by analyzing the differences in career maturity of MAN students and high school students. The measurement of career maturity is by using a questionnaire consisting of 43 statement items, with 4 answer choices. Data were analyzed using the "t" test. From the results of the study using the "t" test formula, it can be seen that the career maturity of the students of MAN 2 Batusangkar is higher than the career maturity of the students of SMA 1 ParianganKeywords: Psychological state, Career maturity, students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to critically review the global beauty culture towards women in the digital era from the perspective of Qur'anic ethics, representing several female figures in the Qur'an as role models who demonstrate that the value of humanity and the virtue of women are determined by moral integrity, social roles, and steadfast faith, not solely by standards of physical beautyAlthough research on the representation of women's bodies in digital media is growing, there is still a lack of research that connects with ethical principles in the Qur'an, especially in the context of internalized beauty standards. This study uses a qualitative method with a comparative analysis approach. The study focuses on comparing the phenomenon of beauty construction that has developed on social media with the Qur'an's perspective on the position of humans. The results of this study show that the Qur'an gives an overview of beauty is not about the shape of the face or body, but the balance between inner and outer, ethics in appearance, and self-awareness before God. This is in stark contrast to digital culture that standardizes beauty narrowly, often reducing women to visual objects.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and local communities through the Satu Event Satu Nagari (One Event One Village) program in Tanah Datar Regency. The primary objective is to empower nagari (villages) to independently plan and implement events that reflect their unique cultural identities and local potential. By doing so, the program fosters inclusive community development and promotes local tourism. Adopting a Community-Based Research (CBR) approach, the project emphasizes participatory methods and the co-production of knowledge between academics and community members. Implementation involves five key stages: 1) Initial community engagement and needs assessment, 2) Co-designing event concepts with community representatives, 3) Capacity building through workshops and training, 4) Pilot implementation of selected events, 5)Monitoring, reflection, and evaluation. The project has led to increased community involvement, enhanced capabilities among local organizers, and a strengthened sense of ownership over cultural heritage. Several nagari have successfully hosted distinctive events that drew local tourists and reinforced community cohesion. This model demonstrates strong potential for replication in other regions, contributing to the long-term sustainability of culturally grounded community development across West Sumatra.
