Abstract

The research aims to understand: how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) develop geo-product to promote geo-tourism and identify the supporting also inhibitory factors. The method used exploratory survey method, quantitative and qualitative method also where data is obtained through survey questionnaire, interview and FGD to SMEs and stakeholder. The research findings: geo-products are interpretations of attractions (geodiversity, culture-diversity and biodiversity) in geo-tourism activities, the supporting factor in geo-product development are loan procedure, leadership and marketing skills. The inhibitory factors are: employees’ lack of skill, limited market access, and financial reporting skill. The stakeholders played a role in supporting geo-product development, such as providing training program and implement geo-tourism events to showcase geo-product. Private companies support SMEs through by enhancing product quality and civil society organization has contribution in capacity building. The research contributes to the knowledge development on geo-product, and its role in promotion of geo-tourism activities in the UNESCO Global Geo-park Belitong.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse how the dynamic managerial capacity and organizational readiness of the Jambi City government affect organizational performance in the digitalization transformation of this city towards smart governance. Local governments do many things to achieve the demands of regional autonomy, regional development, especially with the use of information technology, ultimately leads to the concept of smart city with one of the indicators that becomes the main intersection is smart governance This research is a descriptive-associative quantitative study that aims to describe each variable in the model, as well as find out the relationship between several variables studied, The population in this study were all Local Government Organizations (OPD) in Jambi City as many as 30 OPDs with a sample of 149 managers which are directly implement the Smart Governance agenda. The results showed the achievement of smart governance in three aspects; excellent service, bureaucratic management and decision making. All three are supported directly or partially by the dynamic managerial abilities of the head of the office and the head of the section or unit in the OPD. However, the organizational readiness of the OPD contributes negatively, meaning that all organizational components are not ready to support the transformation of smart governance and only from key managers. This study also found that another factor that is fundamental to the implementation of smart governance is the political will of the Jambi City Regional Head

Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital leadership on job rotation and talent mobility within the public sector, addressing challenges posed by hierarchical structures and bureaucratic inertia. The research aims to determine whether digital leadership enhances these processes and fosters workforce adaptability. A quantitative approach utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to analyze data from 32 Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs respondents. The findings reveal that digital leadership significantly impacts job rotation and talent mobility, with respective T-scores of 3.438 and 9.702 and P-values below the 0.05 threshold. Digital leadership explains 27.6% of the variance in job rotation and 61.7% in talent mobility, underscoring its role in streamlining career planning and cross-functional development. Tools such as predictive analytics and immersive technologies were identified as pivotal in enhancing talent management practices. This research highlights the transformative potential of digital leadership in overcoming public sector barriers, contributing to more responsive and agile organizational operations. By linking leadership strategies to workforce adaptability, this study provides actionable insights for improving public service efficiency and enriching the theoretical framework of digital leadership. These findings underscore the importance of fostering innovation and continuous learning in addressing contemporary organizational challenges.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to bring together the scattered literature on knowledge sharing, and analyze it to provide a better understanding. The review went through three stages: establishing the review protocol, conducting the review, and reporting the review. This research systematically reviews 110 articles in three research streams: (1) drivers of knowledge sharing (2) knowledge sharing processes, and (3) results of knowledge sharing. This research finds that organizations are advised to design knowledge sharing processes in line with their overall business goals, strategies and resources to maximize the benefits of knowledge sharing.

Abstract

This study investigates virtual employee engagement using a bibliometric analysis methodology. The objective of this study is to collect information and data pertinent to virtual employee engagement. In conducting this study, the researcher collected and extracted data from the Scopus database. In July 2023, a total of 933 articles were discovered in the Scopus database. After that, VOSviewer is used for scientific mapping and analysis of publication performance, including identifying the contributions of authors, journals, countries, and the number of author keywords. The quantity of publications has increased significantly over the years. Several countries have contributed to publications on virtual employee engagement. The United States contributes the most to this publication subject, followed by India, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Germany, Pakistan, and France. Based on article documents production, the Personnel Review" is the journal with the greatest influence because it produces 32 documents. While, the highest value number of citations is "International Journal of Human Resource Management" with the total number of 1.015 citations. In the field of virtual employee engagement research, De Clercq D and Pereira R is regarded as the highest number of document publication author; and Knight C, Patterson M, et al. are the most cited authors with 297 citations. The keyword presents key terminology from the field organized into six distinct categories colors (red, blue, green, yellow, purple and light blue). This study has a broad implication for virtual employee engagement perceptions. The findings can benefit many researchers to can utilize the data for their investigations with depth of information encourages field research.

Abstract

This study aims to look more comprehensively and in-depth from articles that have emerged about talent management in the span of time for the last 5 years (2017-2022). This research method uses Systematics of Literature Review by following the stages of PRISMA. The articles selected in this study were 40 articles from the initial search of 969 articles. Various aspects of talent management are explored in this literature review, including the process of talent discovery and selection, talent development and retention, and measuring the impact also success of talent management. Key findings from this study include differences in talent management approaches between organizations, the role of technology in facilitating talent management practices, and the importance of data measurement and analysis in understanding the impact of talent management programs. The study also found other research gaps, such as the impact of cultural context on talent management implementation and the impact of new technologies such as artificial intelligence. This systematic assessment of the literature offers a comprehensive understanding of the practices, difficulties, and possibilities associated with talent management. The findings from this research can be a significant resource for academics, practitioners, and corporate decision makers interested in developing and implementing a successful talent management system.

Abstract

The public sector, as the front guard of public services, has a huge responsibility in ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and innovation in the delivery of public services. One of the keys to achieving this goal is through the practice of Knowledge Sharing, or sharing knowledge, at all levels of the organization. This research aims to delve into the practices of Knowledge Sharing in the public sector as an effort to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of public services. However, the limited research investigating Knowledge Sharing practices in the public sector poses a challenge that needs further exploration. The methodology employed in this research involves utilizing data from 165 articles indexed by Google Scholar and Scopus, using the Publish or Perish application. Bibliometric analysis includes visual mapping using Vos Viewer to identify research trends, frequently occurring keywords, and the density of research on various topics. Network visualization illustrates clusters of terms that are the focus of research, such as performance, information exchange, knowledge creation, and motivation. By combining data from network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization, this research provides a comprehensive overview of the development of Knowledge Sharing research in the public sector. It identifies that topics such as codification and incentives are still underexplored, presenting opportunities for further research in the future.

Abstract

The concept of "Islamic Work Ethics at Islamic Micro Finance Institutions in Indonesia" is a development of "Islamic work ethics", studied and applied in sharia-based microfinance institutions, especially those in Indonesia, considering that Indonesia is the most prominent Islamic country in the world. This paper provides an extensive bibliometric literature overview on "Islamic Work Ethics at Islamic Micro Finance Institutions in Indonesia". Publish or Perish (PoP) software found articles related to the topic, with a database sourced from Google Scholar. 596 of the 990 articles from 2015 to 2020 were analyzed from Google Scholar's database. The selected references are managed using reference manager software, Mendeley. After processing Google Scholar's database, this paper orders and imagines it utilizing VOSviewer. In general, this paper gives an incredible reference highlight for future research on "Islamic Work Ethics at Islamic Micro Finance Institution in Indonesia".

Abstract

Cetak Biru Pengembangan Industri Kreatif tahun 2015-2025 menyatakan bahwa pengembangan industri kreatif fokus pada peningkatan daya saing industri kreatif yang berbasis pada teknologi karena memberikan penciptaan nilai yang lebih besar. Industri kreatif digital membutuhkan infrastruktur berupa teknologi komunikasi dan informasi yang tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran mengenai rantai nilai yang dilaksanakan industri kreatif digital, mengidentifikasi peluang dan kendala dalam pengembangan industri kreatif digital, dan terakhir adalah mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatkan kinerja industri kreatif digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar industri kreatif digital berbentuk UMKM yang memiliki keterbatasan sumberdaya seperti bahan baku, sumberdaya manusia, permodalan, serta akses terhadap sumber sumber informasi dan pendanaan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan corporate entrepreneruship maka diperlukan sinergi dari akademia/perguruan tinggi, bisnis, pemerintah, komunitas, dan media untuk mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatkan kinerja bisnis industri kreatif digital. Bentuk kerjasama diantara para stakeholders tersebut dapat berupa batuan pendanaan, pendampingan, diseminasi hasil penelitian, dan promosi produk industri kreatif digital untuk memperluas wilayah dan pangsa pasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui pengumpulan data di lapangan dan focus group discussion. Data kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Strategi diperlukan untuk mengembangkan potensi corporate entrepreneurship dengan melibatkan stakeholder terkait seperti bisnis, perguruan tinggi, pemerintah, komunitas, dan media (pentahelix models). Sinergi kelima stakeholders ini merupakan pendekatan baru dalam keilmuan dan teknologi yang harus diaplikasikan dalam industri kreatif digital.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs located in tourism destinations in the form of small islands in Indonesia experienced many problems, including: decreased sales turnover due to reduced number of tourists coming to visit the island, difficulty in raw materials, rising raw material prices and SMEs not understanding how to do digital marketing effectively. Digital skills for SMEs are very important in building a competitive advantage and expanding the market not only in their area. Therefore, a community empower program was initiated to help the SMEs survive through covid19 pandemic, by increasing their capacity on Digital Marketing.The objectives of this program are:(1) to develop community empowerment through Digital Marketing program (2) to increase   community skills in digital marketing. Eight months of educational activities were conducted on 20 SMEs from April 2021 to November 2021 at the Unesco Global Geopark Belitong. Using the parcipatory training method, SMEs were able to understand how to conduct digital marketing. The result of this program, is SMEs start to develop their own digital marketing program, with the help from university students. For future program SMEs express their hope that coaching and upskilling in digital marketing will continue in order to help them increase their market.
