Abstract

This research examines the Panipahan community's perception of the figure of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id Bin Isma'un in Panipahan City, Riau, during the period 1965-2002. The background of this research is the important role of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id in the religious and social life of the Panipahan community. The main question asked is how the Panipahan community perceived the contribution and influence of Mr. Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id during this period. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the Panipahan community had a very positive view of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id, recognizing his contribution in religious education, moral development, and social conflict resolution. The conclusion of this study is that Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id is recognized as an influential and respected figure, who has made a significant impact on social and religious development in Panipahan, Riau. The findings strengthen the argument that religious figures have an important role in shaping social and cultural dynamics in local communities.

Abstract

A library based on social inclusion is a library transformation that serves the information needs of all users without being limited to layers of social groups. So that the need for libraries as a place for literacy makes a transformation program to increase the role of the community to be better in participating in improving its social and economy. This research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service. The results of the study show that the transformation of social inclusion-based library services at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service provides changes or development of services that lead to provision or improvement of individual abilities to prepare themselves to improve their economy including: (1) knitting services for beginners, (2) learning computers, (3) library services, (4) story telling services, (5) mobile libraries and smart cars, and (6) socialization of reading and literacy services. This transformation program is carried out to make people, especially in Asahan Regency, able to have good skills in information, economy and digitalization.

Abstract

his study explores the development of the Kotta Cinna Site Museum in Medan City from 2008 to 2023. The background of this research underscores the importance of cultural heritage preservation amidst rapid urbanization and the role of museums as cultural institutions in education and conservation. The primary research question posed is how the Kotta Cinna Site Museum has evolved over this period and its impact on the local community. The research methodology includes literature review, in-depth interviews with stakeholders, and field observations. The findings indicate significant advancements in the museum's facilities, collections, and educational programs, contributing to heightened public awareness of cultural heritage importance. The author concludes that despite challenges in funding and management, the Kotta Cinna Site Museum has positively impacted cultural preservation and community education.

Abstract

Arsip sangat penting sebagai informasi dan bukti kebenaran. Pengelolaan arsip merupakan hal yang krusial dalam setiap organisasi dan instansi. Arsip Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil merupakan arsip dinamis aktif karena digunakan secara langsung dalam kegiatan kerja organisasi atau instansi sehari-hari. Dalam menunjukan semua kegiatan pencatatan spil pada kantor Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan maka penelitian ini berjudul "Sistem Pengelolaan Arsip Aktif di Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan". Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem pengelolaan arsip aktif di Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan dan tantangan yang dihadapi. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif digunakan di sini. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dua orang pegawai Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan pada arsip dari bagian akta kelahiran, akta kematian, akta perkawinan, akta perceraian, dan kartu tanda penduduk (KTP) dan kartu keluarga akta merupakan informan dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian, dan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperiksa dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil Kota Medan mengelola arsip dengan baik. Pada pengelolaan arsip: penciptaan, penggunaan, pemeliharaan, penghapusan. Pegawai sebagai pengguna tempat penyimpanan dokumen/arsip menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan arsip karena lokasi penyimpanan yang berbeda-beda. Fasilitas untuk penemuan kembali arsip sangat baik. Pengelolaan arsip di Dukcapil Kota Medan sudah berjalan dengan baik, namun kebersihan ruang penyimpanan arsip masih perlu ditingkatkan. Tidak menangani hal ini dengan serius dapat berakibat fatal. Untuk melestarikan arsip dari semua kegiatan yang membantu mencapai tujuan instansi, Dukcapil Kota Medan harus meningkatkan pemeliharaan dan perawatan arsip. Debu, jamur, dan serangga dapat merusak arsip.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar students to analyze hoax news on social media, the ability of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar students to access hoax news on social media, the ability of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar students to evaluate hoax news on social media, and the relationship between media literacy skills. SMA Negeri 1 Bandar students in tackling hoax news on social media. This study uses quantitative research methods using questionnaires or questionnaires as a means of collecting data obtained from respondents. The population of this study were students of class XI majoring in science and social studies as many as 418 students with a total sample of 80 students who were determined by the slovin formula. The sampling technique used to determine the sample is purposive sampling. To measure the relationship between the media literacy abilities of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar students in tackling hoax news on social media and test hypotheses using the Spearman's Rho Rank-Order Correlations formula and Guilford's calculations. The results showed that media literacy ability has a positive relationship with a value of 0.894 which indicates a high relationship in tackling hoax news

Abstract

This article discusses the search patterns for students in the Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School library. The aim of this research is to find out how students search for information in the Islamic boarding school environment and what obstacles they face when looking for information. The research method in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely research that aims to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects, for example behavior, perceptions, motivation, actions, and so on. Furthermore, the data collection methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. In this research, the informants were 6 students of the Medan Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School who were in grade 12 and who had outstanding achievements. The research results show that Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School students carry out an information search process through six stages, namely, initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection and presentation. This research concludes that the research results show that Islamic Center Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School students carry out an information search process through six stages, namely, initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection and presentation. This research concludes that Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School students have an awareness of the need for information because they receive assignments. from ust and usth, then, then they were encouraged to look for information in the library by first recording in a small book the information they were looking for. Next, the students go straight to the collection shelf and collect the books they need, then read the table of contents to focus on the information they need. And write down the information you have read in a notebook. The next obstacle for students in searching for information is the lack of information search tools.

Abstract

Jurnal ini membahas mengenai pentingnya transformasi perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah program transformasi perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial. Penelitian dilaku.kan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang melibatkan perpustakaan kota Sibolga, Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa strategi kegiatan-kegiatan transformasi perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dalam beberapa aspek. Namun, dalam merealisasikan kegiatan-kegiatan Transformasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial memiliki beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi. This article discusses the importance of social inclusion-based library transformation in improving community welfare. The reason for this research is the social inclusion-based library transformation program. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach involving the Sibolga city library, Indonesia. In this research also shows that the activities of social inclusion-based library transformation can improve community welfare in several aspects. But, in realizing the activities of Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation, there are some challenges faced.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Utilization of E-Books as a Learning Source for Efarina University Students Pematangsiantar", this research aims to find out the benefits of using e-books in the learning process carried out by Efarina University students Pematangsiantar. In addition to the benefits, this study also aims to determine the obstacles or obstacles experienced by Efarina University students when using or accessing e-books. This research method uses a descriptive approach and qualitative research. And the result of this research is that the utilization of e-books is very effective and efficient in use by students, not only students, lecturers also use e-books as their learning resources.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of grey literature collection at Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia (WBI) Polytechnic Library. This study aims to determine the use of grey literature collections in the Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Politechnic (WBI) library and to determine the obstacles experienced by users in utilizing grey literature collections in the P-WBI library. This Type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews an documentation. While the data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. This research was conducted at the Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Polytechnic library. The result of this study show that the use of grey literature collections in the library is well utulized by users in their daily activities to find reference materials to fulfill college assignments or student final projects. The obstacles experienced by users in utilizing grey literature collections are unstable conditions of information accessibility, completeness of collections and disorganization of documents or collections
