This research was conducted to find out the Islamic values in the cultural traditions of the Alas tribe in Southeast Aceh district. It aims to find out the history of the early entry of Islam in the Alas tribe, Islamic values in the customary traditions of the Alas tribe, and the social order in the life of the Alas tribe. The type of research conducted uses descriptive qualitative methods of analysis, with an ethnographic approach.Â The analysis technique used is good data collection that can be obtained with data through the implementation of observations and interviews. Overall, this research raises theoretical implications, namely the existence of cultural fusion, multicultural communication contained in social situations, as well as Islamic religious values in every traditional ceremony of the people of Southeast Aceh district. The role of Islamic values in fact has an influence on the social and cultural situation of the people in Southeast Aceh district. The three aspects (social, cultural, and Islamic) in the Southeast Aceh district can be said to be Local Wisdom. So that Islamic values in the Southeast Aceh region are able to influence the culture and social of the local community, thus creating Islamic culture and customs.

This article discusses the history and development of the Bilah Sultanate which is currently located in Labuhanbatu Regency. This sultanate is one of the influential sultanates in the East Sumatra region, especially Labuhanbatu. This sultanate became the conquered territory of the Siak Indrapura Sultanate which was supported by the Dutch. This article uses a historical research method with four steps, namely: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The author's data collection was done by directly visiting the locations of the former areas of the Bilah Sultanate, interviews with traditional leaders and descendants, as well as written data from archives, books, journals and so on. The results showed that the Sultanate of Bilah had a period of prosperity as a result of its cooperation with the Dutch Colonial. Plantation investments made by European businessmen in the Labuhanbatu region and its surroundings were the reason this sultanate became so prosperous. However, because of its proximity, the Sultanate of Bilah also became a victim of the ferocity of the anti-feudalism (social revolution) movement in 1946 which targeted the Malay aristocrats in East Sumatra. The tragedy marked the end of the existence of the Blade Sultanate in the Labuhanbatu region.

This article discusses the Inai Dance in Kuala Bangka Village, North Labuhanbatu Regency. Inai Dance is a typical dance from the North Labuhanbatu Malay community which is usually performed at wedding processions. This study uses the historical method in four writing steps, namely; heuristics, verification or criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with a cultural approach. In its history, it is not known when and who brought the Inai Dance to Kuala Bangka Village. However, according to several sources, this tradition has long been practiced by the Malay community in this village. Inai Dance is a dance that comes from the acculturation of local culture with Arabic (Islamic) culture. This dance is usually performed by three dancers who will dance this dance in turn. Inai Dance is a dance that is performed during the procession of plain flour. This dance is performed in front of the bride and groom, apart from being an entertainment for the two brides, it also pays tribute to them as a king and queen for a day.

This article discusses the egg breaking tradition carried out by the Javanese people who live in Sait Buttu Saribu Village, Simalungun Regency. The migration of the Javanese to East Sumatra in the 19th century, to work on plantations owned by Dutch businessmen, was accompanied by a shift in traditions and culture that they had practiced so far. This research uses qualitative research methods, with a cultural anthropological approach. This approach focuses on the view of life of a group of people in the form of behavior, beliefs, values and symbols that they inherit through the communication process from one generation to the next. After living for a long time in the Simalungun area, the Javanese people in this area still practice the egg breaking tradition, but it has been elaborated according to local culture. This tradition is usually carried out after the bride and groom carry out the marriage contract. In the procession, usually the bridegroom will step on a bamboo board under which is a raw egg. The foot used to step on the egg is the right foot, because the Javanese believe the right is a symbol of goodness

Pojok Literasi Kuta Padang (PLKP) merupakan komunitas yang giat pada isu literasi di kalangan anak-anak usia dini dan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran Pojok Literasi Kuta Padang (PLKP) untuk meningkatkan literasi anak dalam membangun SDGs khususnya pada pilar ke 4 dan 5.Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumetasi. Dalam peneliitian ini , peneliti menggunakan uji keabsahan data melalui triangulasi data. Analisis data yang dilakukan mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman. Pojok Literasi Kuta Padang memiliki peranan penting untuk meningkatkan literasi anak.Semua program yang dilaksanakan PLKP bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi anak-anak khususnya dalam hal membaca dan menulis. Untuk mendukung pilar SDGs yang ke 5 yaitu kesetaraan gender, PLKP menekankan bahwa tidak ada ketimpangan yang terjadi antara pria dan wanita dalam program yang dijalankan oleh PLKP. Khususnya perempuan, PLKP menekankan tidak membatasi pergerakan perempuan dalam jalannya program-program yang dibuat oleh PLKP.

This study aims to analyze the social existence of students in using Instagram social media on student lifestyle patterns. Social media supports the public, especially students, in accessing information. The Internet, a commonly used technological device, has the potential to create a whole new type of social connection. This study explores the motivation and impact of Instagram use on the lifestyle of university students. Students who are young people who live stylishly use social media as a means of communication. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach and is analyzed with individual phenomenological descriptions in order to get a comprehensive picture. The research subjects were eighth semester students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The results showed that students use Instagram to stand out and seek social recognition. The use of Instagram can change mindsets and actions, making some people more creative and interesting, while others continue to show off their possessions, making Instagram a competition arena and the use of Instagram as a medium for student self-existence is due to the lifestyle of students who follow current trends, a sense of wanting to be appreciated and the desire to get recognition by the people around them.

Film is one of mass media having responsibility to decrease and increase education like radio, television and newspapers as well. The form of religious values can be conveyed through messages in the film. This paper contains religious values in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta. It uses semiotic analysis method by Pierce. Therefore, religious values that are delivered in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta can be revealed. Firstly, the researcher chooses some scenes in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta. Then, those scenes are analyzed through denotative, connotative, and myth meaning. Basically, there are many things which can be interpreted in a film. Of course, it must be suitable with the context rising in the scenes in order to result matters pertaining to meaning and understanding of messages. This is a qualitative research. It considers meaning as the main attention. In addition, this research only develops collecting facts. Thus, they are analyzed without doing hypothesis experiment. The researcher chooses the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta because there are many deviations happening today, especially for teenagers. It seems that Ayat-Ayat Cinta bringing freshness in order to give education and study about religious values. After a long process up to analysis, it results that Ayat-Ayat Cinta having religious messages which reveal in the scenes.

The research is entitled The Role of Parents in Reducing Online Game Addiction in Students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of parents in reducing online game addiction, how the impact of online game addiction and what are the factors that become obstacles for parents in reducing online game addiction in students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. The research aims to find out the role of parents in reducing online game addiction, knowing the impact of addiction and knowing the factors that become obstacles for parents in reducing online game addiction in students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach where this research uses Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents is very important for the growth of children, therefore parents must do several things so that children are not addicted to gadgets and online games including: by mentoring, supervision and open communication. Efforts to avoid the use of gadgets and online games in it are by the way each parent must take several actions or preventive measures to minimize the use of cell phones in children, by limiting time, making commitments from the beginning with children so that in children there will be a sense of responsibility and think they have a promise with their parents that they should not break. It can be concluded that the factors that influence online gaming are the frequency of playing online games, the time of playing online games, and the games or games that are favored.

Human rights or what is often abbreviated as HAM in Indonesia have been alluded to in the formulation of the text of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Human rights are moral norms or principles that describe standards of human behavior that are systematically protected as human rights law. nationally or internationally. Human rights are generally understood as rights that absolutely become basic rights where people inherently have rights because of their position as human beings which include aspects of their nation, location, language, religion, ethnicity, and other statuses. Based on searching the verses of the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, it is concluded that Islamic law has formulated the regulation and protection of human rights for humans.

Perkembangan teknologi memengaruhi sistem informasi, terutama di bidang perpustakaan. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi usability website Perpustakaan Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Medan menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS). Teknologi informasi penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi layanan perpustakaan. Penelitian menyoroti tantangan perpustakaan dalam beradaptasi dengan teknologi, dengan solusi praktis dari media informasi berbasis elektronik. Konsep perpustakaan digital diimplementasikan untuk memberikan akses cepat dan efisien, meski penelitian mengidentifikasi masalah akses dan waktu tidak teratur pada website perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat usability "OK" namun Net Promoter Score (NPS) menunjukkan sikap pengguna yang pasif. Analisis SUS menunjukkan website mudah dipelajari, efisien, dan memuaskan, meski ada tanggapan bervariasi terkait kesalahan. Meskipun demikian, pengguna menyatakan kepuasan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan pada usability website perpustakaan, menyoroti area perbaikan, dan menekankan pentingnya evaluasi dan peningkatan berkelanjutan untuk memenuhi ekspektasi pengguna. Abstract Technological developments affect information systems, especially in the library sector. This research evaluates the usability of the Medan Ministry of Health Polytechnic Health Library website using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Information technology is important to increase the efficiency of library services. The research highlights the challenges of libraries in adapting to technology, with practical solutions from electronic-based information media. The digital library concept was implemented to provide fast and efficient access, although research identified access problems and irregular times on library websites. The research results show the usability level is "OK" but the Net Promoter Score (NPS) shows a passive user attitude. SUS analysis showed the website was easy to learn, efficient, and satisfactory, although there were varying responses regarding errors. Despite this, users expressed overall satisfaction. This research provides insight into the usability of library websites, highlights areas for improvement, and emphasizes the importance of continuous evaluation and improvement to meet user expectations.
