Abstract

This study aims to examine Ferry Irwandi’s communication strategies in constructing counter-narratives to mystical beliefs on Indonesian YouTube using Berger and Luckmann’s Social Construction of Reality framework. The proliferation of mystical content on YouTube has contributed to the normalization of supernatural beliefs within digital culture, particularly narratives surrounding witchcraft, indigo phenomena, and shamanistic practices. Employing a qualitative case study design, this research analyzes three YouTube videos through video observation, transcription, narrative and rhetorical analysis, and examination of audience comments. The findings indicate that Irwandi constructs externalization through critical narratives that expose logical inconsistencies in mystical claims, objectivation through empirical references and visual simplification, and internalization through audience responses marked by acceptance and resistance. Reflective content reinforces communicator credibility through clarification of positional stance, while collaborative dialogic formats strengthen rhetorical structure and expand social legitimacy for rational critique. This study demonstrates that the deconstruction of mysticism in digital media operates as a contested process of social meaning construction shaped by narrative strategy, rhetorical authority, visual representation, and audience interpretation.

Abstract

Abstract The development of e-commerce in Indonesia has driven increasingly fierce competition among digital platforms to attract consumer attention and interest. Shopee, as one of the largest e-commerce platforms, implements various promotional strategies, such as flash sales, free shipping vouchers, and the Star Seller label, to influence consumer purchasing decisions. Based on these conditions, this study aims to analyze the influence of flash sales, free shipping vouchers, and the Star Seller label on consumer purchasing decisions on the Shopee platform. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 95 Shopee user respondents in Malang City, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that flash sales, free shipping vouchers, and the Star Seller label simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions. These findings suggest that appropriate promotional strategies and consumer trust in sellers play a crucial role in driving online purchasing decisions. Keywords: Flash Sales, Free Shipping Vouchers, Star Seller, Purchasing Decisions, Shopee

Abstract

One of the problems with acidic soil is its high aluminum (Al) content, which can cause toxicity to plants. this study was conducted to evaluate the preliminary growth and tolerance of L. leucocephala seedlings to Al exposure. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, namely Al concentration, consisting of 5 levels (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 mM). The evaluation of seedling growth and tolerance assessed included: height, root length, dry weight of roots and shoots, tolerance index, SPAD (Soil Plant Analysis Development) chlorophyll, and photosynthesis rate. The results showed that Al exposure reduced all growth parameters (height, root length, dry weight of roots and shoots) of L. leucocephala seedlings. The tolerance index of L. leucocephala seedlings also decreased significantly (up to 43.68%) with increasing Al concentration. Meanwhile, chlorophyll and photosynthesis rate parameters increased with Al exposure of 2-4 mM, but decreased with higher Al exposure (6-8 mM). The threshold value or sensitivity of L. leucocephala seedlings to Al exposure was less than two mM. The L. leucocephala species can also serve as an alternative for land rehabilitation with high Al content as post-coal mining land.

Abstract

Gosong Panjang Village has outstanding potential to become a tourism village that prioritizes coastal landscapes, small islands, and local traditions. However, this development still faces institutional challenges, limited access, and a lack of basic infrastructure. The purpose of this community service program is to evaluate the cultural and natural attributes of the landscape, assess its suitability for tourism, and develop a spatial planning-based institutional strengthening plan. The method used is a field survey documented through observation, interviews, and the Village Development Plan (RPJMDes). Land suitability analysis uses scoring for seven tourism activities. The results show that the land suitability ranges from moderate to good, with beach recreation receiving the highest score. The Undulating Plain and the Coast are considered to have the best potential for land-based tourism. In the institutional strengthening strategy, funds are allocated through Pokdarwis and RPJMDes to improve road access and provide basic facilities in priority zones to support safe and sustainable village tourism development.
